Great job on all your hard work Amy. I am sure it is a relief that you have it completed. Will be so interesting to see the plants flourish. I am not sure what you have where you live in Ireland, but I use a 2 gallon pump sprayer to water my plants. The other thought I had is getting a sheet of clear acrylic to use as a cover. Here in the states you can usually go to a DIY type store and get it cut to size. Possibly could order from Amazon as well. I know I would probably get tired to taking the cling wrap off and on. Anyway, again fantastic job! I really enjoy watching you. 🙂

Thank you so much ✨🌱 Thankfully all doing well so far since making this. Thats an excellent recommendation re the clear acrylic - thank you! Will go down this route for sure because yes the cling wrap is only meant to be temporary and is already annoying 😅 Appreciate the support! 🌱💕

It looks fantastic! You’ll find yourself picking up plants now that you never considered before. In mine I have things like small ferns, begonias, peperomias, Fittonias, a sensitive plant, creeping fig, moss, some tiny orchids and Hoyas. Also a few carnivorous plants on side shelves to catch the fungus gnats (but not on the floor where they’d catch isopods/springtails). I highly recommend isopods as well as your springtails as they’re bigger and will clean up more of the mold and decaying matter.

Thank you so much! ✨🌱 that’s so true and because of how big it is it’s easy to just stick smaller plants in there 😅 Yours sounds wonderful I would love to see it! And yes once I have a better cover situation on top would love to get some isopods in there because it definitely will need it ☺️

You've done a brilliant job Amy, it looks so natural, just like like a forest floor. I love the Anthuriums, Maranta and so much more. Once the plants grow up a little, any cork still showing will be covered anyway. Did you plant anything that will climb up the sticks and does lichen keep growing once it's removed from its natural habitat? We rarely see it where we live, it's too warm here. I think I'm going get YT up on our TV to get a better close up look, my tablet is a bit small to see a great deal on the whole screen.. I can't wait to see progressive updates and thanks for taking us along on this project.

And thank you Renate (is this your first name? 😅). There’s a few climbers in there like the monstera adansonii that I’m sure will cover some gaps yes! Lichen in my experience doesn’t actively grow indoors I think it requires much more natural environment that I can never seem to replicate! Thank you so much for the support as always 🌱
