Nice video. However micron refers to the size of particle the filter will catch vs let through. While usually correlated to to flow that a high flow filter isn’t as effective at filtering as a low micron, lower flow filter. I’ve had good luck with the KN and slimline screen type filters for stand up skis with limited space.
Hey great video! If get this message, you mentioned your not a fan of the stone filters (?) are you referring to the sintered bronze filters? My jet ski friend and myself wondered about these, he's not a fan of them and bought them off a jet ski parts distributor. We both agree about the paper and marine environments may not mix well ...
Currently on a long flight back home. Using this time to educate myself with all the ski info i can get! Thanks for the videos John 🫡
Thanks for watching!!

Thank you for watching Jack
Can I use an in-line fuel filter like you show here and abandon the bowl style one mounted to the hull of my 440?
Yes, we use the Yamaha fuel filter on MANY different ski's including Kawasaki's.
Always good-insight
Thank you for watching
Thanks John
Thank you for watching.
What don’t you like about the stone filters? I’m curious, not trying to start anything. The oem Yamahas last a very long time, I’ll agree. Thanks!
Just not a fan. They are typically very small.

hanks for watching. IMO the stone/bronze filters are too small, and restrictive.
On Kawi's I have only been running the screen that's on the fuel pickup in the tank. Is that not enough?
Stock screen in the tank is fine.
@@watercrafttalk2738 thanks
