- Russia launched a fresh attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure on July 25. Ukraine said that Russian drones targeted two energy facilities, leaving thousands to remain without power in the capital Kiev and on the border region. Ukraine's air force chief, meanwhile, claimed that its air defence systems destroyed 20 out of 22 Russian drones overnight. Watch

Putin did not need to invade in the first place. He was offered alternatives by Europe. Macron even flew to Moscow to talk with him. But Putin wanted his war and ignored all these attempts at peace.
A peace treaty with Russia just means giving them time to regroup and invade again at an opportune time.

Article 2 reaffirms the reaffirm obligation to abstain from violence and refers to the United Nations Charter as the basis for the prohibition of violence.
