No maintenance and only 14 moving parts in the motor and battery. Insanely quick. Quiet. So much technology. Perfect car.

I had a beautiful horse from the Nevada Mustang herds (you can adopt them from BLM), and I can tell you that they have an amazing GPS mapping system built in, and excellent self driving. Sadly for me, the GPS (Grass Position Sensor) was not user-programmable, and often routed you under low hanging limbs or rubbed up against fences, all in the name of efficiency and removing excess weight. They have a form of a user-facing steering mechanism, but it is completely fly by wire so to speak, and often the self driving system will decide to override your requests (because that's all they really are lol). I loved that horse, but it would not get you to work on time because it was a fully autonomous vehicle, destination included!
Owner of a new Model 3, great car, a true game changer. My personal experience ordering parts and dealing with customer service is troubling. Service is limited due to low numbers of mobile service vans and very limited service centers. I live in middle GA, and needed to drive nearly 2 hours to Atlanta for a Tesla service center. They need a more customer oriented traditional form of communication. It’s virtually impossible to talk to a human when and if you have a problem or question. I do own the stock and believe in the company and look forward to improvements in these areas.

The shaming of Tesla owners is *not only* a deterrent against new sales, but harms prior buyers. Musk needs to recognize that allowing Tesla buyers to get picked on reduces the pride of ownership and sense of community. The way to combat this is NOT through rebuttals but Documentaries, Tesla / Musk Magazines, and community funding outreach (partnering with Bitcoin and other niche communities, etc). Rebuttals are 10% narrative amongst 90% trash talk. Balanced, positive media, is 100% narrative in a constructive, emboldening environment, that creates community and becomes a primary source for referencing years into the future. The psychological strain is evident in Elon himself, how damaging is it to other, more auxiliary supporters? Can you drive a Tesla as a salesman as clients become distracted and call your beliefs idiotic? The lack of media awareness harms Elon's psychology and dampens the joy of Tesla ownership, and needs to be combatted through pro-Tesla media creation.
I don’t understand Elon. Why don’t Tesla have a TH-cam channel? This could control the fake news around the company. This same reason is why many companies fail. No you don’t, tesla’s stock is so unstable. It has plummeted and went from 350 to 180 in a few months. $TSLA is not the stock to buy, since you’ll probably lose it all. Concerning air drag: Drag COEFFICIENT and drag itself are not the same. If the Y has *same coefficient* as the 3 the drag will be higher on the Y because it's a bigger 'box'. (D. C. is based on the smallest 90 deg. corner rectangular box the car can fit in, that sharp corner box is assigned value of 1, so a D.C. of 0.33 means car has 1/3 the drag of reference box, bigger boxes have more volume per unit drag but still more drag than the smaller box) So don't expect the Y to be equal or better aero efficiency.
As regard to his comment for the starlink antenna on a vehicle... the antenna doesn't necessarily have to be on the outside... cant they create a "speaker like" rounded mesh cover under the back-window by the trunk lid on the interior? seems functional to me and out of the way so it will not attract attention? just a thought

Tesla and Elon are fantastic 100% behind the idea, concept. However in Australia with the introduction of the Model 3 the mass market model is not in reach of the average person. I understand Tesla must introduce the high spec models first to achieve profitability. But may also need to pursue the federal government to provide an incentive to purchase EV's in Australia. Currently there is nothing except an incentive on Powerwall in the order of 6k AUD in South Australia. This alone is a great achievement in the conversion to renewable energy. The uptake of EV's in Australia is important and this needs to be pursued.
It's cheaper than the two biggest sellers in the Australian market. Total cost of ownership is already lower than most cars on the Australian market. Pursuing the current federal government for assistance is a fool's errand. They're owned lock stock and barrel by the fossil fuel industry.

Hi Elon, How about holding a press conference on a regular basis (like each week or as needed, based on the level of FUD in the media). Tesla's communication person can read out a prepared statement. It should debunk the FUD item by item for the week. It could be just a readout of the statement, or additionally allow for a few questions from the media. The Tesla Public Relations team should stay abreast of all the FUD in media (news, youtube, analyst statements) on a daily basis and should prepare their statement to debunk frequently. Don't think this would cost much, nothing close to doing some advertisement that one of the shareholders suggested. In this scenario, I believe that over time, public will come to distrust media and the fake analysts; all their lies and half truths will backfire. They will be forced to show more integrity in reporting hopefully, but maybe not. Either way, at least the public will have the truth. Love what you and your team members are doing for humanity.

Short term looks good but you never know. I might lose sleep on say 20% of my portfolio in any one stock let alone a relatively risky one. At 25 y.o. or even 35....GO for it. Wish I had done so with AAPL, AMZN, MSFT going way back but that's easy in hindsight, the opportunity wouldn't have existed if it was obvious at the time, it would have been priced in.

He's referring to the 85 kWh Model S at 265 miles. The 60 kWh car did 208 miles which plenty of other brands have surpassed. His chart shows the Hyundai Kona in 2nd place which supposedly does 258 miles.
Little auto still can't deliver or properly service cars with issues. Fit and finish are nowhere near world class.

@@jeffsp1389 the model S I've owned for 5 years. 288,000 miles. No issues. My wifes model 3 is 5 months old, we pay 1/10th that we did in gas. $32 a month in electricity instead if $305. No maintenance and only 14 moving parts in the motor and battery. Insanely quick. Quiet. So much technology. Perfect car.

I had a beautiful horse from the Nevada Mustang herds (you can adopt them from BLM), and I can tell you that they have an amazing GPS mapping system built in, and excellent self driving.
Sadly for me, the GPS (Grass Position Sensor) was not user-programmable, and often routed you under low hanging limbs or rubbed up against fences, all in the name of efficiency and removing excess weight.
They have a form of a user-facing steering mechanism, but it is completely fly by wire so to speak, and often the self driving system will decide to override your requests (because that's all they really are lol).
I loved that horse, but it would not get you to work on time because it was a fully autonomous vehicle, destination included!
And the reliability, battery life of flip phones :P

Owner of a new Model 3, great car, a true game changer. My personal experience ordering parts and dealing with customer service is troubling. Service is limited due to low numbers of mobile service vans and very limited service centers. I live in middle GA, and needed to drive nearly 2 hours to Atlanta for a Tesla service center. They need a more customer oriented traditional form of communication. It’s virtually impossible to talk to a human when and if you have a problem or question. I do own the stock and believe in the company and look forward to improvements in these areas.

One thing I feel like it’s possible in Robo Taxi 🚖 is be able to take control by Tesla headquarters when needed. So let’s say FSD is stuck for any reason then someone from Tesla call center can take control and drive thru the obstacle and FSD can take over back. I loved the whole show. The only part that got me concerned was the part when Elon was asked about Tesla being profitable. He kind of choked which is understandable knowing that he cant reveal anything before q2 earnings. He simply spoke the truth. Tesla is constantly investing and growing rather than putting quarterly profit ahead of all other concerns.
The real question is " does Tesla jave positive cash flow". So much of their budget is r&d, programming, build-out... Investments in the future but that takes away profits, much like Amazon.
Amazon does the same thing but nobody is complaining about them. The only profitable part of their business for many years was Web Services.

I’m just pointing out that if you were to invest in stocks for personal gain you shouldn’t invest in $TSLA the STOCK. I know that you guys are very busy... but I think that by creating/manufacturing your own home AC's you would acceletare transition to sustainable energy even faster. By reducing the usage of kWh in homes. Customers could save huge amount of money, which could help finance instalaton of solar panels/hoof.

Tesla and Elon are fantastic 100% behind the idea, concept. However in Australia with the introduction of the Model 3 the mass market model is not in reach of the average person. I understand Tesla must introduce the high spec models first to achieve profitability. But may also need to pursue the federal government to provide an incentive to purchase EV's in Australia. Currently there is nothing except an incentive on Powerwall in the order of 6k AUD in South Australia. This alone is a great achievement in the conversion to renewable energy. The uptake of EV's in Australia is important and this needs to be pursued.
It's cheaper than the two biggest sellers in the Australian market.
Total cost of ownership is already lower than most cars on the Australian market.
Pursuing the current federal government for assistance is a fool's errand. They're owned lock stock and barrel by the fossil fuel industry.

Hi Elon,
How about holding a press conference on a regular basis (like each week or as needed, based on the level of FUD in the media). Tesla's communication person can read out a prepared statement. It should debunk the FUD item by item for the week. It could be just a readout of the statement, or additionally allow for a few questions from the media. The Tesla Public Relations team should stay abreast of all the FUD in media (news, youtube, analyst statements) on a daily basis and should prepare their statement to debunk frequently.
Don't think this would cost much, nothing close to doing some advertisement that one of the shareholders suggested.
In this scenario, I believe that over time, public will come to distrust media and the fake analysts; all their lies and half truths will backfire. They will be forced to show more integrity in reporting hopefully, but maybe not. Either way, at least the public will have the truth.

I was at work one day and in front of where I work is another store and right in front of it was a Blue Tesla Model X. I just couldn’t stop staring at it cause it’s my dream car. After seeing it I’ve made a goal to buy one before I turn 20 so I have about 6 years! I really want one.

@@orbetobe It's never easy. "Discipline trumps conviction." Not a hard fast rule but TSLA is one of my biggest positions so as/if it goes up I'm obligated to trim it a little at some point plus it gives me flex to repurchase on weakness.
@@orbetobe Not pretending to be a stock expert and I feel good about the likely reaction to Elon's 'putting to rest' the demand side that has, IMO, dogged the stock price more than anything else. Short term looks good but you never know.
I might lose sleep on say 20% of my portfolio in any one stock let alone a relatively risky one. At 25 y.o. or even 35....GO for it.
Wish I had done so with AAPL, AMZN, MSFT going way back but that's easy in hindsight, the opportunity wouldn't have existed if it was obvious at the time, it would have been priced in.
When are you bringing Tesla products to Africa , l drove around in the model 3 in Europe and loved it we are missing out please bring your cars here too would love to be the first one driving around in the cyber track in Capetown
