Hey do you have any experience with the shallow version of evo flax?

How much power rms are you planning to run to them? I've been hesitant since it supposedly only takes like 80wrms. Also, this is probably the best review on the internet for these speakers. I'm debating between these and morel tempo ultra or virtus.

I'll run right around 80W RMS. I normally don't like to exceed the power ratings with an amp by more than 10-15 watts if I can prevent it. I rarely under power them though. Makes tuning easier and limits risk.

Mine are powered by a JL Audio 900/5 which is 100w rms. Over 2 yrs and zero issues. I also run the Focal Shape 40 Studio Monitors on my desk setup. I love the performance of the flax cones

Whats the differences between ps 165 FX and ps 165 FXE

FXE's frequency response begin at 55 Hz ; FE at 60 Hz. The FXE woofer is also a bit deeper 77 mm vs 72,7 mm for FE woofer. RMS power is 80 W for FXE, 70 W for FE.

@silverevans7763 I had the older ones before on a bit more power and it kept up with 146db of sub stage. This current one I have it on less power. But it isn't keeping up with 140db lol they sound good just using the passive Xo. I'm sure it'll be louder and better going active
