    I was in treatment with her and her brother in texas. We all became incredibly close and i would even say her brother has become one of, if not my best friend. With that being said, this girl is one of the smartest most creative people ive ever met. She has so much potential and I really hope she starts to realize that and gets out of this lifestyle that is slowly killing her. If you read this just know we love and miss you and please call us so we know your ok.

      narcs and some other brutal family systems use the "good advice" so many people are going to here like a kind of short-hand for The Work, so many survivors have had religion, "good advice" and parental privilege weaponized against them. "Good advice" is a panacea for the one giving it. It's efficacy is often disjointed, wrong time, without actionable support. Advice isn't really impressive to me.
      When I worked with survivors, had to let clergy know that they needed to do more to help create safe referrals for women. "They're using what you say, perpetrators. The ones who are targeting their intended victims, they're quoting you, literally, while perpetrating these soul crushing acts. We have to do better."
      Advice is for the ones two steps short of compassion. It's a hard lesson to learn. There's something better.

      Home is where things happened that led to her being where she is- her childhood is what makes being sober unbearable for her.
      People take drugs to numb out emotional pain.
      Her only hope is to get into a rehab that offers her “trauma informed” therapy, at a point that she hits rock bottom and decides “anything is better than this”.
      The chances are that she will die first- most likely of an overdose but her risk of becoming a victim of fatal violence is also huge.
      She gets more sympathy in these comments because she is pretty, articulate, and yes- because she is white. Her situation is tragic- but no more so than any other drug addicted woman using prostitution to pay for drugs.

      Coming from Someone me personally he was on heroin forever seven years and now two years clean you cannot help someone who’s not willing to get help so only until she’s fully ready to change her life and put all of that in her past and start a new will she be able to, she always has that little piece of her inside that still wants that lifestyle she will find it and until she is truly ready it will never work. I’ve been in active recovery for six years now on and off last go round at sobriety long-term going on two years and I can say all this experience I wish her the best best of luck. I’ll be praying for her. She’s so beautiful and very, very intelligent and articulated. She deserves so much more than this.

      These comments really are not that smart but merely typical Normie sentiments. In the usual mindless judgementalness, They have entirely missed the fact that people who are able to see more of reality and feel more understandably tend towards self destructiveness because they intuitively know we live in a hell realm. This is totally Unlike completely brainless Normies an NPC's that populate our society Who believe voting can fix things and that there's a good God and all other kinds of completely moronic baseless ideas for which all the evidence contradicts. Having said that you also didn't pick up on the exploitiveness of Mark who pretends to be in the guise of sharing the truth of hidden suffering lives otherwise not seen, yet he imbues it with conventialisms and plaititudes Society is based upon which caused the problem to begin with. For example extolling paradigms such as therapy, seeking to "correctl the patient without any thought to how caustic and artificiall all these environments we are forced to develop in are to delicate human souls. Therapy is really always about how to better adapt to something entirely artificial and despicably unworthy to be adapted to in the first place. Theses commentaries typify Normies attitudes which are so thoughtless. Normies (you) only see a caring impartial interviwer (mark) giving seemingly helpful advice, and thus being viewed as progressive, when it is precisely his type of conventionalist attitude and its beliefs, that keep things going on thier destructive course. Normies missed the significance behind Mark's revealing statement he thinks it would be fun to interview her in five years, as if her life being on a Russian roulette cutting board is fun. Its very easy to see through you mark, irrespective of the fact you do your job very well and you do often yield very revealing presentations. But then Mark can trick the general audience by that New Age idea because they already have been exposed to it, that this world is all just a school and we're here to learn and all this other New Age bullshit. Lily perhaps knows better than anyone this is a hell realm, explaining why living in the moment may may potentially follow her own true spiritual intuition. Thereforw lacking any plan can atleast then have the possibility of her free in eventually findind the door out of hell, if she can manage to be guided by her own essential being. There is much that stands in a way that she hast to fully become herself and the gauntlet will first lay before her to test that inner connection, but at any rate, unwitting to her ordinary mind, she may ultimately being trying to work out her exit plan. On the other hand, Mark is nothing more than A wolf in sheep's clothes and predictively you idiots will never be able to figure it out. Best wishes to you Lily

      @Katie-gp9ez หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      The way he went about this situation was manipulative though. She came in with clear boundaries with the expectation of making money by telling her story within the boundaries she felt comfortable in. He made her feel like the problem for not wanting to do the interview the way HE wanted to do it. He even told her if she needed the money she could go turn tricks. Of course she’s going to prefer to earn money in a way that feels safer to her. She’s traveled all that way, she’s an addict, she needs the money for whatever she’s decided she’s using it for next. He then doesn’t get a clear yes or no from her. He just starts the interview. She even asks if it’s recording and he says yes but that he won’t use it unless she wants to agree to the interview the way HE wants it done. Then by the time she’s asked for actual consent for her story she’s already opened that wound and become vulnerable, feeling like she’s shared with someone who is “friendly”. So at that point she already feels the rawness of that wound and decides if it’s already done with she might as well get paid for it. It’s emotional manipulation. And his questions are leading questions. They’re not open ended or unbiased. If his goal is to share people’s stories he needs to learn how to interact with traumatized people in a trauma informed way with actual proper interview questions.

    Beautiful soul. Go HOME. I have a daughter your age. All I could think after watching this; is if you were my daughter, how bad I would want you to walk through my door, so I could wrap my arms around you and protect you. If you can't reach out to your mom, go to your dad or grandma. GET OUT OF CA NOW!!! You can't see it, but something good is waiting for you. You are SMART, BEAUTIFUL, and KIND. You just took a wrong turn. It's not too late.

    No one will probably read this comment, but I see this as a mother. I wish I were her mother. It would kill me if I gave birth to this beautiful little girl and this happened to her. She is so perfect and so wonderful, and her life has come to this? People act like adoption is the end all and be all and I have seen successful adoptions but this girl has been failed first by her birth mother and then by her adoptive mother. Since she has no mother, I pray she starts mothering herself. I have two daughters they came to me like Lilly perfect, and they are my entire life. My husband and I put everything into them, so this story just pierced my heart. I see her and I see them. She is just as precious and just as deserving, but she had no mother to convince her of it. She just has to believe she is worth saving and save herself. She has broken my heart and from reading the comments she has broken all our hearts. Lilly don't let this end how it began. Ask yourself the question you deflected. What is your dream? And girl make it happen.

    Damn Mark. This one hits me so hard. Reminds me of the darkest parts of myself but also the most amazing parts of my youngest sister, who is so bright and brilliant.. curious and kind. Empathic and beautiful mentally and physically.
    What a wild duality. What a powerhouse of a woman
    Lily. Our 20's absolutely f*kn suck girl, but there's a future for you. Please don't give up on yourself. The fact that you say "interview me in 5 years" made me smile because it implies that you see a future for you. You're a force to be reckoned with. Rooting for ya babes

    She's smart, beautiful, young, self-aware, and not yet hardened by the street. Her soul is intact. She's at the crossroads now - a precipice - I pray that she finds the right path before it's too late. Please go back to Texas.

    I looked like her at 20… I’m now 31 with dentures and 2 hip replacements. I pray she gets out before this life takes her beauty and her soul 😢 I’m sober and just starting my life over. I will never stop regretting every moment of those 7 years
