How “insane” is traffic compared to San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, California? From my exp. Most of FL has no clue about rush hr bumper to bumper traffic 😂😂😂 12 lanes (6 each way)….. We’ve had a condo down in Boca for the last 40 years so I’m very familiar with the state of Florida, but I am now just planning my exodus of California to the Davenport in a year or so. I’m flying back to Orlando Jan. 2025 right on scout communities
So it really depends where you are moving from. I think it's more of a shock if you are coming from another state. My family moved from Miami where we are used to the traffic. As long as you stay away from I4 at certain times and learn all the back roads I don't find the traffic to be that bad. US 27 tends to get congested when heading south in Haines City because there it is more commercial and a lot more traffic lights causing the backup. Car insurance actually went slightly down for us. My wife is a teacher at a small Catholic school in Winter Haven and our son attends the same school. Teachers send plenty of emails and updates so it may be a public school thing even though my wife gets the inside scoop on how our son is doing almost on a daily basis! Also I replied a little earlier on another comment to take a look a what the budget billing with Duke would be. At least it gives you a consistent price that helps you when making a monthly budget.
@@jensenrealtyllc also the weather is a huge selling point. I am originally from Philadelphia where today is a high of 45 and we are currently at a refreshing 71 with a nice breeze. Perfect to stay active and go for a walk around your neighborhood! I also felt the humidity was worse in the Northeast and temps in the high 90s low 100s in July and August where here it's always in the low 90s.
Hi, I moved in Davenport championgates about 1 years ago, and everything you saying it’s true, I am also from ny but from the nyc. I have to said that I switched my son from Davenport high school to a charter school in lake Alfred. Because I worked in Polk county schools I was able to find a good one called discovery high school. The only thing that bothers me right now it’s the traffic 😂😂 cuz I changed to work in orange county schools. But I am from nyc so not much of a difference. Welcome to Davenport.
Thank you! Yes I wish there are more options for high schools but I can’t commit to driving while having to drive my 2 others to bridge prep! Thank you for commenting and welcoming us 🙏🏽
@@jensenrealtyllc i don’t drive him, I make him pass his driving test and he drives himself. No sure how far you from four corners but that’s also a good one.. it’s by lottery so you need to apply with time

there is something about northeast efficiency....you will miss it quick....especially if you have health issues...you will miss that NY attitude and efficiency you get up north that does not exist down here
Absolutely!!! I think floridas cons are welllllll worth the move. I have no regrets thus far as you said every state has pros and cons but Fl aligns with more of my husband and my beliefs etc.
So sorry for the late response. I will be uploading a video with more info soon. But in Davenport I’d say Ridgeview Global and Davenport school of the arts. If it’s not in zone be sure to add your child(ren) to the waitlist.
Honestly I’m being told it’s simple Duke energy. Since certain areas such as Davenport doesn’t have an option this is what we get. And I’m telling you people say my bill is good compared to theirs and I’m like whattttttt…. We do our best to keep lights off and things unplugged. Just budget it in but depending on how big/people/pool/spa ours is 5b3b pool and spa $550max in summer and has been as low as 450. I will be uploading an update on my 6m journey/opinion/must knows
@@jensenrealtyllc 😱 that’s a lot of money, I have a hot tub, pool, 4bed/3 bath and my bill the highest was 300. But ideally 200 and like that. But we switch to solar panels and now pay form them 150 a month
@@jensenrealtyllc we moved to Davenport in June renting a brand new 4br/2b 1800 sqft house and I opted for the budget billing with Duke and only pay $125/month.
Our electric bill in SD for July was $618 ($242 electric generation/delivery fees!!!) 😢😅😢😅😢😅😢😢😢
Thank 👌 you ❤️ for the information 🙏 😊 🙌 that's awesome 👋
