Hi, shona, you are a very talented person!...I love your first dress, and the denim one, and the red one ! They are just, beautiful and your color is red!.. Congratulations!,,,,,,,
Loving all your makes, but especially the Rosa. That denim is gorgeous, and I'm going to click on the link right now! And I hope your washing didn't get wet!! Lynne
All your makes are beautiful! I only discovered your channel today, I’m glad I did. It’s refreshing to see a fuller busted women doing vlogs as I feel like I can relate to it being one myself. Did you have to do any bust adjustments on your garments? Would love any tips in this area as I’m relatively new to sewing for myself and bust adjustments scare me scares me! 😆
Thank you for sharing your lovely makes. They are all so pretty and look amazing on you. I think my favorite is the Tilly Rosa dress. Yes, the heat - I watch quite a few UK sewing vloggers and have heard them lament the hot weather. I would wonder, “Why don’t they cut on the air conditioner?” I finally figured out (and you confirmed) that many homes and businesses in the UK don’t have air conditioning. I live in the southeast area of the US and we are in the midst of summer heat and humidity. As soon as we get home from work, we turn on the air conditioner and ceiling fans. Sorry to whine, but I absolutely abhor hot weather. I hope it cools down soon and thanks again!
Just catching up on clogs Sheona and I’m a few months behind! Love all of your makes in this. Especially the Joni and Rosa dresses. Thanks for the tip on the Joni neckline. I’ve not been able to master that yet, but will persevere. Also love your fabric for the Doris and Scout Tee. Just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing as always 😻
Lovely makes! I especially like the Doris style in the red print: gorgeous! I have the Rosa planned for Autumn in a lightweight needlecord. I am glad it works without a FBA. I am looking forward to making it when the weather cools down. We have had a heat wave all summer on the E. Coast of the US and no air-conditioning either. So I know how you are feeling!
Love the Rosa. Would it be possible to show a short tutorial on how to use the prym snap tool? I have all the gear but I can’t understand the other tutorials (or I’m probably doing it all wrong)! Good to see you back showing you makes bye the way x
Lovely.... the colour of your Doris dress really suits you and the Rosa dress looks amazing on you! The screen printing sounds fun! Emily from the Happy Newspaper is from here Chorley in Lancashire and we are so proud of her! It's an a amazing newspaper.... so uplifting!!!! 👏🏼😊😊😊😘❤️
Loved all your makes. Your Doris dress is gorgeous and my favourite too. I've just bought the same fabric as your scout tee to make the New Look 6446 jumpsuit. I chose it especially for the drape as didn't want the legs to look too triangle lol xx
You are funny regarding the heat. I can see the heat is negatively affecting you. I live in Perth, Australia and a heatwave here is a few days over 40 degrees celsius. I have just looked at your current temperatures in the UK and they are beautiful lovely summer days - not too hot for most of us here in Australia. I think you need to wear garments that do not have sleeves and are made in cotton voile/voile weight weave or viscose/rayon - as these are the only materials that I feel comfortable in our hot weather - as these are the only materials I can wear in our hot summers. All your garments looked nice on you.
Just finished my first Doris dress and used the Jessica Rosa fabric that I brought from Sewisfaction great minds and agree it's just beautiful to wear.
Sewisfaction sorry getting the fabric round my neck I made it in the viscous elderflower breeze I don't think i would like doing the Doris dress skirt part in a jersey.
I love your makes Sheona. The Joni dress is gorgeous, quite tempted to make the Rosa. It’s the same denim as I made Bettine. The Doris dress is beautiful. I must make it again as tried it out once before without a zip and no buttonholes.I haven’t made the Scout tee yet but bought the pattern last year so will bear in mind the sizing. That’s what has held me back as the finished measurements are very generous and want to cut the pattern as hate tracing😆Also love your screen printing.
Thanks Ruth, I think you’d love Rosa, such a nice make and a really lovely shape. Definitely size down on the Scout unless you want the oversized look 😂
Your first dress is lovely!! Oh no!! I’m a baby about being hot!! I can’t imagine no air conditioning!! I am in the USA. Also love the denim dress!! The Doris dress is cute too! The princess lines and the flirty skirts look good on you!!
You have some beautiful makes this month Sheona ❤️ your Doris dress looks stunning on you (red is definitely your colour) loved them all though! And the scout tee as a dress is a genius idea! Definitely need to keep that in mind for summer x
Love your dresses Shona! That viscose crepe is gorgeous. I hope it does cool down for you there in the UK - we get about 3 weeks of that every year (not all at once thank heavens) and we don't have AC either so I know just what you mean. A little of that heat goes a long way :)
Love your Rosa dress, I made one in a soft almost brushed navy cotton sateen, but would love to make a denim one too. Do you think you will get that 4oz denim back in stock? I'd love to get some if you do and blatantly copy your one 🤣
Hi Shona, I'm with Avril on this...that Jessica Rose fabric is beautiful and I adore your denim dress....such a lovely weight denim 💞. You look fab in all your makes.....dresses always look amazing on you with your great hourglass figure ❤. I have made the Scout tee and love it too. Mine also came out a bit big, but like you say... really cool to wear. I have just made the River top from Megan Nielsen and I think you would love that too and it can be made with wovens and stable knits. Happy sewing Shiona 😁😘
I can't get over how good you look I'm your Rosa! 😍 I need to give that pattern a go. I have the Alex shirt from so over it, but it was just too baggy and my buttons we're a mess. Any tips on getting the buttons on without gapping or miss aligning?
Ah thank you!! I always measure our my button evenly and often add more than the pattern suggests. I check the fullest part of my bust and start there and work outward x
for the Doris Dress, did you do a FBA or any other pattern adjustments suck as lengthen the bodice? I would like to make it for my daughter and she is about your size.
Hi Claire, I have 8” difference between my high bust and full bust but confess I didn’t do an FBA on any of these. The Joni I felt sat quite high on some of the makes I’d seen so I made my usual size and it sits lower because of my bust which is how I personally prefer it. I also lengthened the bodice by 1”. Rose I make an 8 (Tilly size) for the bust and hips and grade into a 7 at the waist and do a narrow shoulder adjustment. And Doris I made straight our the packet to fit my bust, as it has kimono sleeves and is adjustable at the waist due to the tie it want a problem. Hope that helps x
So did you choose your size based on your heigh bust measurement or did you choose a size in between your high bust and bust measurement then do the narrow shoulder adjustment??? Sorry to be a pain, I never know how to work out when I can get away without having to do an fba ☺️ xxx
Love the Rosa. Would it be possible to show a short tutorial on how to use the prym snap tool? I have all the gear but I can’t understand the other tutorials (or I’m probably doing it all wrong)! Good to see you back showing you makes bye the way x

Just finished my first Doris dress and used the Jessica Rosa fabric that I brought from Sewisfaction great minds and agree it's just beautiful to wear.
Ah so glad you like the fabric! How did you find the Doris dress In a jersey instead of a woven?
Sewisfaction sorry getting the fabric round my neck I made it in the viscous elderflower breeze I don't think i would like doing the Doris dress skirt part in a jersey.

I love all your makes your dresses especially. If we didn’t have aircon in Australia we would complain about the heat too not only the English. ❤️
Loving the Doris dress...that fabric is just gorgeous Sheona!
Thanks so much! It is a favourite of mine!

for the Doris Dress, did you do a FBA or any other pattern adjustments suck as lengthen the bodice? I would like to make it for my daughter and she is about your size.
I would do a horizontal buttonhole on the waistband so you don’t have that gaping look. The skirt is beautiful
I love love the Jessica rose fabric I think I will have to order some even though I had said I was on a fabric buying ban 😀😀
It is a real favourite of mine, you’ve got great taste! 💕
Jessica Rose is awesome!
Naww Kitty wants in on the video lol
If you are interested, a diy AC is a bowl of ice on front of a fan with your face in the breeze...😉
Oh Lord love the denim too🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😘
Hi Shona, quick question, what did you do re fba on the Doris, Joni and Rosa dresses? Did you just grade out? Thanks 😊
Hi Claire, I have 8” difference between my high bust and full bust but confess I didn’t do an FBA on any of these.
