Hay, me to. I never met Finn or even seen him in a PCT video, but a tear rolls up to know he came here on an epic journey that I myself may not get to do and the trip got ended for him. Its just weird and sad. I tend to feel sad for all of them that lost their while chasing this dream. Anyway, time cherished, glad you and Nick got to do this.
Sunday upload yay! So Nick didn't like his birthday present, huh? Made me LOL. I could imagine his eyes rolling as you said it. Washington extended the stay-at-home order for another month. So nice to watch these vlogs.
Your video made me cry as soon as I saw Cispus Pass. When we hiked through here in 2018, we had to do it in rain and fog too. We also had to take an alternate route after Goat Rocks into White Pass because of the trail being closed due to fires. Once we did our first climb after getting on the alternate after Goat Rocks, I turned around and saw that the fog had lifted from Goat Rocks and it was perfectly sunny. I was bummed we missed the views up there, but the fog made it extra spooky and pretty cool. I loved this section of the PCT. I want to go back!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your vids are the perfect medicine! Still hoping/praying that my section hike of the Sierras will be allowed by July! Sad that you are already in WA, guess I’ll have to restart with episode one! As always, your vids are entertaining and beautiful, thank you!
Oh yum. Looked like huckleberry pie, my fav there. I hope you and Nick are well at home with all this covid19 virus. Be safe, stay well! Your videos are great to see when we have to shelter at home. Wow, some gourgeous area these days, so close to the finish.
As I watch this today, I’m bummed that my trip to New Zealand is postponed. Had I gone, I would be anticipating the sunrise within an hour or so, and looking forward to similar majestic views somewhere on the South Island. Thank you Mari for giving me a slice of the outdoors..., unreachable at the moment due to the circumstances confronting us all👊😎...
Super relaxing one that Mari - loved it. Them goats are something else. As for the tree falling on that guy. Well, you just never know. Great scenes throughout. All the very best. Mark
Absolutely amazing footage of this area! The views of Mt. Adams we're stunning! Lol about NZ. One of the favorite places I have been able to visit twice! Take care Mari & Nick! 🙂☮💌
I'm so glad to see these videos they are so inspiring and make me yearn for another trip to the USA from Australia. Feel privileged to share the journey with you and Nick along the way. Totally agree with the balloon comment and got tears as you passed the memorial for the past hiker keep safe together
Came across your channel through Brisbane footage, and I gotta say you have some very creative and beautiful footage of every page you've been to. Looking forward to more and hopefully get to support each other. Stay bless and stay safe during this pandemic
Great stuff, Love these episodes. Was hoping that these would end and your next adventure would begin but this pandemic is likely to be here for awhile. Would love to see Nicks pack out. I’m thinking he’s carrying a couple luxury items.
Hi Mari! Just wanted to say your vlogs of the PCT are some of the best I've seen! The daily milage graphic and mileage travelled is the best! I've avoided watching some of your post hike videos as I want to see if you finish. haha!! I'm a potential PCT attempter in the next year or 2 and love watching your videos.
A fellow Huskey, but all I remember from that time were the trips to the Olympic Peninsula and the Cascades with my bf & dog.. Oh, and standing for hours over the railing above the courtyard of the Architecture building staring into the coffee shop and thinking about nothing.
Beautiful. The view from the top of the ridge reminds me of Colorado. Anything planned now that the hike is completed. New adventure? Hope all is well with you two,..... do stay safe
I'm an old guy now living in California but your heading towards my second home...BC....i spent 11 years in kelowna, North van,and squamish.....im going back for a visit to the okanagon if master of the universe allows me to....your real people and I've enjoyed everyone of your episodes , you weren't far from where I'm at when you went thru mount Lassin park...stay strong look for the path to your future......
I have been waiting for two years for you to arrive in my backyard and you didn't get the view from the junction of the alternate , the one with Goat Lake on the left and Mt Rainier in front of you from the cairn. I always new in NZ that something was making me to watch you and it turns out to be purple and gold , Go Dogs.
Aah when we found out the next day about the view you’re talking about, we were gutted!! I can’t imagine how beautiful that must be. Another reason to go back one day! 💜💛
@@mari.johnsonIt's only a 5 mile hike for me but if and when you come back , in mid July the lake is usually still half frozen as it was for me last year .
You know those volcanoes that you were hiking past, they part of the same geological feature as the New Zealand volcanoes that is The Pacific Ring of Fire you have travelled all that distance but are on the same geology. Probably why it looks the same.
I followed 'Feathers' PCT vlogs last year, she had hiked with 'Colors' (Finn) and his girlfriend 'Dirty Ziplock' through just about the first half of the PCT. Was very sad hearing about Finn after watching him in her vlogs for so long, I definitely cried after hearing the news.
The sad thing watching your video is people may never have the chance to thru hike with everything shut down. I guess we can dream about it. They cant take that away.
If your desperate to dry your socks heat some small rocks in your cook pot removed from heat add socks minus the lid it’s a way to safely dry small items or to save fuel place socks on the heated stones of a fire ring
Hey Mari! Really enjoy watching your hiking blogs and the music you add to them! Would you mind making a spotify playlist an sharing it on instagram with us? Greatings from Austria, Lisa
You should be grateful I didn't hike with ya, seeing you in that hoodie and backpack, and that sleeping pad on the side, I would have given you the trail name "Mustard".
Hey Mari, I like the soundtrack you use on your videos. Would it be possible to list some of the songs and bands that are on your vlogs? Wayne Foster, Milwaukie, Oregon.
Hi Wayne! The songs in this video are "Huske" by Longlake, "I Know the Way Home" by Andrew Galucki, "Light" by Jordan Critz and "Safe and Sound" by Graham Colton. I'll make a list of all the songs when I'm done with the series :)
Thanks so much Mari! I will look them up! I especially like that song you start some of your videos with. Love your videos! God Bless, Mari! Stay Safe! Wayne
The only thru hike and channel I have the ‘bell notification’ on... luv this channel. Something too look forward to while sheltered in place~
Hope you’re staying well!
Jerry was the same gentlemen that picked us up. A real character that one!

You're trail name should of been Pippin because you're always eating "second breakfast". (LOTR)

I’ll share a list when I’m done! Unfortunately not all of the songs are on Spotify, but maybe I’ll make one with the ones that are at least 😊
Hi Mari, did you use KlineMaster for your editing? Just curious... my GF wants to learn and looking for an app that is not that difficult. Thanks!
I used kinemaster when I edited from trail and I use Final Cut Pro at home. Kinemaster is easy to use so would be good to start on!
Mari Johnson thanks Mari!!!

I did not know there were rock climbing goats in WA

Beautiful views!
Did you ever get lost by accidentally going off the track?
Not usually, it was always well marked! Just sometimes when the trail was covered with snow it was hard.
Go Huskies!
I agree I Hate balloons!
Man I hate mylar balloons biking or hiking we pick up between 5 and 10 mylar balloons every year on different trail's
That was my first one! Good on you for picking them but, but I wish you didn’t have to! 💛
@@mari.johnson same here I wish people didn't leave trash in the woods. Are you ready to hit the trail again
😊💖🐶🐶
A lot of math going on 🤪
Tease .... How could you forget to film ?? ... that's literally your job !!!
Making videos is not my job, it’s my hobby. And they’re provided to you for free so... 🤷🏻♀️
