They also fixed the proportions a little bit, on the previous release the neck and shoulders almost form a 90 degree angle, on this new one, it feels a lot more natural.
5:10 One wiki says Dimensional Travel Watch. Another says Multiversal Gizmo with Hobie's version called a Web-Watch. 6:06 I think it's a new back piece. There's more muscle on the back of the neck and the arrows at the bottom look like they're sculpted differently. I like how his head sits lower. 7:03 Kudos to them for fixing this. Peter seems to have this poor design on his lower ab crunch, breaking up the belt.
Thanks for this. I’ve been thinking about getting this figure. I love Spider-Man 2099 but haven’t found a version I like. This one is close with the exception of the forearm spines. Probably trim those down. BUT I want a comic accurate version with pinless joints and good proportions.
They got the colors all wrong on this new wave. Which is unfortunate, bcs the sculpts are actually not too bad and the paint makes them look kinda cheap.
@@soumyadham idk, considering there the same from last years wave, there so skinny that the plastic just feels so cheap. Like I get that’s how the characters are drawn but to translate well in figure form they should be enlarged to get a sturdier feel.
I am not a fan of this overall sculpt.I think it's accurate to the movie.Aside from the skin color i'm talking about the shape but I don't like the way that the art was done I prefer a more realistic look for miguel o'hara rather than the anime thing just me personally
I think this is such a funny comment. Like sure whatever like it, don't like it. But to me this is like watching the 2099 review and being like "this isn't how I like my batman to look". It's specifically from the movies yknow, so referring to the comic version is funny. Much more validly applied on the other ML releases that are just kind of vague comic renditions, but this has an obvious source to match to
@@Federico0807 Nope, since the facesculpt is completely different, the body mold is smaller, it still doesn't change the fact that it was better looking than the original, you can stop crying now baby girl..lol

He's a vampire-spider hybrid kind of spider man.. I mean..maybe that's why Hasbro decided to make skin tone so pale🤷 in terms of figure itself? Naaah, CT toys all the way!
As for the skin color..I think that the hypocrisy race, gender, orientation swapping is gross. 2099 was NEVER dark skinned in the comics or previous animation. Disney insisted on a darkening of 40% according to my grappling partner who worked on both of the spiderverse films. The creators tried to push back but were unsuccessful. One concern was that the darkening of the skin was happening at the same time as the depiction of the personality became more villainous. There was talk about this making the black character heroic whilst the Hispanic one was being more of a bad guy. I didn't like the film anyway due to the characters acting out of character 😂 but whatever..it's a multiverse so if you're unhappy just assume that the iteration shown is a different one from the one you're used to. Just saying that I don't recall people losing their poo over 2099's skin being darkened by 30-ish % for the film but it being "corrected" for the toy is apparently the end of the world. !? That said..although I don't like the character design from the movie that IS what the toy is supposed to be a representation of..which at least to me means THIS specific toy SHOULD look darker like the movie and not the lighter comic book look. I don't think they should've darkened it in the first place but I don't like the overall art style used for this specific representation of the character. That said I don't understand the kind of selfish entitlement that leads to people wanting anything that isn't THEIR PERSONAL depiction for a character to NOT exist for others to enjoy !? I don't like female ghost busters...but I'm glad it exists for the people who like it/are reached by it. I don't think that I should be expected to use MY money to make it successful ! I don't believe that my personal lack of connection to one depiction or another of a character/franchise makes me sexist or racist. Making up around 50% of the population I think that if it's important for a gender, race, demographic for a thing to exist than instead of yelling racist, sexist, homophob, at the people who you told weren't the audience you made it for or cared about because they didn't spend THEIR money on the very thing you used to tell them everything bad about them. These different versions of race gender, sexual identity should absolutely exist to inspire those demographics...AND THOSE demographics should spend THEIR money on supporting them. For the next Miguel, I want butterfly joints, a diaphragm joint, and reverse ab crunch.
Michael O'Hara
Michell O’hare 💀

Miguel O'Hara is very tall and jacked up than the teenage Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy!!!
They also resculpted the traps and they look so much better now!
“It’s not a goober it’s a gizmo.” Is more or less what the wrist watch is called. That’s what Lyla says in the first movies post credit scene

you should take a look at miles morales. it's like the first miles from into the spider-verse, but without the jacket and shorts
No open hands either :/
How does the Miguel civilian head look on a regular male Marvel Legends body?
