I'm proud to be one of your 20K subscribers! Congratulations! That is so cool when the water is so calm and clear, and the fish in so close that you can actually target specific fish to throw to! Way to go Matt, another fun and enjoyable video!
Love the channel! I'm in Tampa FL and I am learning allot fishing from the beach! I mostly fished docks piers or offshore. Never realized what I was missing! Keep up the good work!
You should do another video on how you do guides from land I’m very interested in starting a wade fish guide service but not sure how to get the clients I know once I get a few and the word spreads they will be stoked about the perks of wading
Yesterday at Perdido Key the anchovies were tight up against the shore and the predators followed them in. I caught a bonita 10 feet off the beach! with that came about 2 dozen bluefish, ladyfish, and spanish mackerel (one was 19")
Awesome videos and advice I have learned a tremendous amount in a short time! I have had huge success surf fishing since watching your videos we usually go to Dauphin island and I don’t really have anything I’m trying to target just catching fish. I pretty much only use fish bites and catch and release just so I don’t have to carry a cooler lol. I appreciate the content bro keep posting and I’ll keep watching 😎
Shiny stuff..ever use Kastmasters? I recall them hauling in bluefish as a kid. They cast great and are very durable. Love the videos and the enthusiasm! Hope to see you in person in the spring.
I just wish the beaches in the cape Canaveral/cocoa beach are were like that, instead there has been a huge brown algae bloom that has destroyed the fishing...
Think you could cover baits for the budget minded vacationer? I’m looking to be at the beach near the end of September for a few days in NC and wanna go after some specks and maybe flounder from the beach and in the inlet. Are there specific baits for say under $40/$50 total that would work that time of year going after those particular species? I figured a top water, couple spoons, and gulp on a jig head should cover pretty much everything but I’m unsure on sizes of jig heads/buck tails and spoons.
Would you happen to know why the water there is so much cleaner than the beaches on okaloosa island? I went yesterday and the junegrass was everywhere. You could not let the bait soak at all or you had a mess.
What little jig did you start using, later in the video? And how large do those whiting get? I have always seen them in the 1 to 2 lb. range, cruising the beaches. (Congrats on the 15K+ viewers! )
Been fellowing for about a year..i was watching one of yak motley videos..when you meet the rest of the pensicola boys on that shark beach party..been a fellowing you ever since..keep up the great work..
Bummy my man, I think I struck gold the other day in Ft. Morgan. I was fishing with fresh caught (but dead) shrimp for basically whatever would bite. Not much luck. But, I pulled out an old trick from the freshwater side of things that almost always entices the bite. I don't want to post it on to the public, but toss me a DM and I'll tell ya. (I know this sounds click baity, but it isn't, I feel like it's the least I could do to repay you for all the free info and entertainment you've given me)
Hi I have a qn...I went to the tackle shop and I asked the guy about using spons...and he told me about using a spoon that I thought was too big for the surf fish I usually fish for. The spoon is actually as bg as some of the fish I catch (just for fun)...so my question is, would a fish go for a lure that is as big as itself? He said that as light as the spoon has the shiny/flashy character, is gonna bite?what say ye? Thanks
Love ur video's as well!!! I was also confused on the Title... I fish in Texas and "Gulf King's" to me are King Mackrel. Feel free to school me; Tite Lines Brother!!!
Have you ever used any KastKing gear? I use there braided line and I love it, and I’m thinking about buying there saltwater baitcaster for trout and reds. Do you have any insight on their reels?
@@simsdiving6946 Cool. I was thinking of wrapping some pink and white wire on a hook and adding some mono legs. I do most of my ocean fishing around Cape San Blas, FL.
Water looked great Definitely makes fishing more fun that Caught a couple northern kings jigging on my kayak in the inlet which I thought was odd. Checkout some of my stuff if you like I fished from fla to nc to pa to nj
Bro i love your videos but the only problem i have with it is the camera position. It's kind of annoying like only seeing your hands and not the rod just saying!
I sub'ed today. Bro I was so so sad to hear yo movie career dropped hard but although I never liked yor and donnies sissy boy band phase - dig your acting not the rapping. I knew you could fish after watching this video of yor shooting th-cam.com/video/GTFtwn-mdbk/w-d-xo.html I am loving the new change to fishing. Forget Hollywood yor a natural FishMan.
@@BamaBeachBum Well, surprise , surprise ... I've lived my whole life in Florida (east coast), was a commercial fisherman, and never have I heard of anything other than Kingfish being called Kingfish. My sincere apologies.

You make it look so easy! Can't wait for October to get down there for a week. Love your videos!!
I am with you on that brother. I never thought I would fall in love fishing for any one species. I just love targeting them .
I just wish the beaches in the cape Canaveral/cocoa beach are were like that, instead there has been a huge brown algae bloom that has destroyed the fishing...
Yeah plus east coast vs west coast...just different water. I agree though.
Used to fish in that area all the time....sorry to hear about the water conditions....
Congrats on 20k subs. I’m down here in Pensacola and we seeing lots of Spanish on the beach right now.

Gulf Kingfish are whiting.
I have to do this, it is not tite. It is tight, I'm sorry :
What month does the fall run start and how long does it usually last.
How do you keep a line out when its rough? Fl east coast
Have you ever used any KastKing gear? I use there braided line and I love it, and I’m thinking about buying there saltwater baitcaster for trout and reds. Do you have any insight on their reels?
I’ve never tried any
Where are you at
ladyfish and whiting are my favorite cut bait so surf fishing.
Congrats on the 20k!! Hey is that kastking reel?
No, it’s a Piscifun.
You good dude that's why we watch thanks
What type of reel are you using bud?
Show us the lure that you are using!
Dude I like your reel,,what is it?
Hey brother what type of reel is that??
Can the whiting be caught on flies?
I’ve never tried, but I would believe so
Bob Wehner they can be. Size 8 hooks or smaller, white and pink are best colors. Best fly I had luck with was a Crazy Charlie.
@@simsdiving6946 Cool. I was thinking of wrapping some pink and white wire on a hook and adding some mono legs. I do most of my ocean fishing around Cape San Blas, FL.
Do you ever use the small Whiting for bait live or dead?
Oh yes!
What’s up from Texas!!!!
Who spoils you reels for you? I have several I need done.
Northern Kingfish are kingfish, or whiting, or sea mullet. King mackerel are king mackerel or king mackerel lol. Good fishing buddy! Stay bummy!!!
I'm ready for Fall 😂
Me too brother, me too
You need to learn Elias's recipe for Ladyfish balls. It is supposedly delicious. 😉
Sight casting kingfish?
Hey see your fishing with some new setups !! Post a vid !!
Now that’s just cool
What is a crusher jig...?
Its a "j" hook with a small weight like 1/8th ounce molded on hook near the eye .
Matthew congratulations on your 20,000 subscribers. That is quite a feat.👍👍
something jumped out of the water at 6:22
What rod and reel are you using
Sea Striker Contour
7’
Thank you. Going to gulf shores in 3 weeks for my birthday and I'm trying to figure out if I want to get a new rod and reel for the trip.
You're missing out on all the crabs in front of you.
Kingfish?
Water looked great
Definitely makes fishing more fun that

It’s tough to get it just right with a GoPro by yourself. Maybe one day I can get a camera man.
That is not a 5000 Penn battle 2 saltwater fishing reel, next time give the viewers an accurate description of what's being used!
Its a southern kingfish, not a gulf kingfish.
@Daekj32 probably not..
Let’s be friends. I wateched about 50ofyiur vids cya
