One of the things I learned early on about Korean society was that when applying for a job, you are usually required to attach a photo of yourself. Imagine the discrimination that happens based on looks alone!!....and know that they are not only one of the highest for plastic surgery, but also one of the highest, if not the highest, in the world for suicide. The pressure is immense on young people...the education system is highly competitive (see BTS 'No' or BTS with Seo Taiji 'ClassRoom Idea') with students studying from early am until 11 or 12 at night....every day....from elementary school through high school. Parents put tremendous pressure for their children to pass the college entrance exams (I think RM scored in the top 1% of the country). Did you know that all the members of BTS have their bachelor's degrees, three have master's degrees and the others are working on it? And, for men....at what point in your life...before college, after college, before starting your career or in the middle of your career, do you take a 2 year break for military service and what will await you when you've finished? Also, the cost of housing there is MUCH higher than in the US....imagine having to save $10K just for a deposit on an apartment?...imagine even if you have saved enough for a deposit on a home, there are no mortgages to be had because only rentals are available....it's no wonder young people have lost hope. I don't know how they survive in such a society. Very sad. Sorry for the rant...the situation just ticks me off. Hope your neck is better soon! I know very well the pain you are feeling. ARMY grandma
when i watch other groups do a live preformance i cannot help but compare wt bangtan stage ....bts just has energy and swag in individual and group levels...its so unique to them! Other groups are now following bts grand staging esp for award shows but the group performance itself tend to fall shot ( of the bangtan std) and a little imitative rather than fresh or unique...just my opinion...

Perhaps their pronunciation in Korean is a blend, whereas English speakers have 2 distinct letters and sounds to choose from. Even the city of Busan, where ✨Jimin✨ was born, used to be Pusan a few generations ago. 💜
It's not - technically - interchangeable. It's all about batchim ("b/paht-cheem"). As the first letter of a syllable, the Korean letter ㅂ is pronounced as a B sound. As the second (or 3rd) letter in a syllable, it's pronounced as a P. With Romanization, it's *almost* always represented with a B, though, so it can be really confusing. If you watched the recent concert, you can clearly hear Jimin - and Jungkook - saying (well, screaming, really) "Poo-sahn!"...since they're happy to be home...yet all of the others pronounce it as "Boo-sahn". So while not interchangeable, it actually all depends on dialect/locality more than anything. (Like in the U.S., people who want to wash their car/hair/whatever - in the south, you usually hear "warsh" - there's an R in there...in most of the north, it is simply "wash"...in the northeast, it's "wash", BUT with a slightly heavier accent on the "H" at the end. Car is another example. In most places it's "car"...in parts of the northeast it's "cah", the R at the end doesn't get pronounced or isn't as heavily pronounced. Etc.)
