While he does not have billions of dollars like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Steve Jobs, Ton is truly a world class visionary. A living legend. A person to emulate and be inspired by. He is just as outstanding as those other legendary tech leaders the we all respect. I'm always fired up to listen to him speak about his worldview. And the Blender team is made up of positive-energy people.
Comparing Ton Roosendaal to any of those cucks is legitimately an insult to him and his contributions to the arts. Elon Musk is an incompetent manchild whose entire wealth comes from blood emeralds, and whose employees admit to having to work around him rather than under or with him. Jeff Bezos used union-busting, monopolistic business practices, and abuse of employees so inhumane that it's honestly difficult to even think about. Steve Jobs was a backstabbing narcissist who created several generations of dickheads with more money than sense buying inferior products for a stupid fruit logo. Ton Roosendaal inspired and enabled millions, maybe billions of people to take up multiple art forms that they might never have considered, let alone tried. He is directly reponsible for such a _vast_ amount of all the art that currently exists that it's legitimately hard to imagine what the online creator community would look like if he hadn't done what he's done. He's a true legend who never cared about money like the other names you mentioned, and as a direct result of that he has changed the world more than any two-bit hack using other people's labour to fuel his own narcissism could ever hope to come close to.
With all industrial standard software just charging through the teeth, Blender is truly a diamond in the rough keeping things manageable financially for all aspiring and professional artists to create what they love in one package. Ton keep doing what you do, in these days with all the corporate greed from industry standard software-companies Blender truly makes me feel like it's all going to be alright. It's weird that I've never felt this kind of affinity towards a software and it's creator before. You've achieved something incredible, thank you truly..
A big thank you Mr. Roosendaal for making Blender that was my first real 3d software i use. Becouse of Blender it open my career. You all doing a grat hard work thank you sooo much. Grüsse aus der Schweiz
What would the world be without artists? And what would the world be without Blender? Thanks Ton for such a great software, and thanks to that great team that works to make it better every day. 🤩
This is why I love blender community, It feels like a family. Keep making these episodes I really enjoyed it. Wishing good health 💖 to Ton and everybody else.
I hope all these Blenderheads understand the amount of positivity they bring to so many people around the world. It's wonderful to get a glimpse into the inner circle. I feel that the sheer humanity within the community is emminent when I see this (and other behind the scene I've seen). Thank you for your efforts, and I wish you all the best for 2023 and years to come!
There is a true energy in this amazing open source project (my favorite one !). I discovered it something like 24 or 25 years ago, and every release is just happiness ! Ton you have a true vision and true passion about people, community, sharing and software. You all are amazing ! Thx !
I PLAY with Blender as a hobby, but even when I utilize it to accomplish work, it's never really WORK. Thank you all so much for not just creating a vast landscape of fabulous tools, but for also encouraging everyone to fill that landscape with creation, sharing, and most important, humanity.
maybe for your workflow, In my case, I do design cars for the industry and it works better than any "pro" software. I also produce game assets for some AAA games with it and whenever there is an obstacle, you have an addon to solve it.
Thank you for Blender! I use it for many things for making objects for 3d printing, interior room designs, making models for papercraft, and practicing 3d animation. I hope to get better at sculpting and compositing to make better models and renders. Blender is the best software in the world in my opinion!
Love seeing the people behind the product I use daily, and see that it's a nice relaxed family-like setup. Hope you all enjoy making Blender as much as I enjoy using it.
Very interesting! Thanks for this little Blender-Family Film. I really happy to be a part of Blender Community! Love Blender! After 3 Years in Blender still have to leran a lot ! Holland is the best land I have seen so far.
Stating that the Blender project is deserving of praise, it still has a long way to go. It should not be forgotten that when Blender started, companies such as Alias and Autodesk were investing substantial amounts of money to perfect their software, while a "crazy" developer, along with a community of developers, began their journey by taking on the industry's major players. Time has since put everyone in their respective places, and no amount of money can create software made with the care, excitement, and passion that Blender has. I am confident that Blender, with its community of developers, will be the model to follow. As a Maya user for 30 years, I can attest to Blender's impressive progress and potential.
The fact that Ton also has dachshund make me like him and blender even more. I was thinking about getting a play pen for my dachshunds when I work from home and seeing his so happy in it just solidified it. This looks like an awesome behind the scenes series guys! Can't wait to see more!
Ton you are the most inspiring man in the world to me! Thank you immensely for what you have done for the world. You have made it a better place, where people can create freely. There is nothing more divine than to create. Lately I have lost almost all hope in humanity. You are a flickering flame that keeps my hope alive. God bless you!
Gracias, gracias, gracias, gracias de verdad!! Son geniales, trabajan con pasión, orgullo y saben que Blender es lo mejor!! Saludos de Bella Vista, Buenos Aires!!
Thank you for sharing the behind-the-scenes, really cool to see the leadup to the best conference I ever attended, and to relive it once again. You put together an outstanding event, can't wait for BCON23.
I remember way back then 25 years ago when I started my Blender journey, it has come such a long way. Ton, it's incredible what you have done. Thank you!
I love Blender. Not because it's free. But because how amazing the software is. There might be other 3D-software that are better on specific things. But for me Blender does everything I need in the way I like it. And also love the community. It's like driving a car. Just because the car is expensive, doesn't mean you will love driving it. You will eventually find a car that feels like a part of you, even if you got the car for free.
Congratulations! I liked it a lot, eagerly waiting for the next chapter. A small note, check the volume on some parts regarding the voice and the music, not sure if it was because of my tv but I had to play up and down the volume several times :)
@ thank you for being so welcoming, we came and we were shown around by Ton himself, and we even met you! Despite the snowstorm this was an incredible day!
Thank you for the opportunity to explore creating with Blender...I discovered Blender I think 🤔 in 2004, it's a hobby I enjoy. I have, over the years, did my best to support Blender by participating in buying books 📚 open movies 🎬 🎞 🎥 Elephant dreams was the 1st time I donated....I also have a Blender Cloud account when my budget allows me to. I just want to say thank you Ton and all involved with Blender...without you, I would have never had this opportunity to enjoy using such priceless software. Thank you
Thank You Sir Toon - Great Respect to you and: for what you have done - towards Blender and world wide community - all over the world.Because of you - all people can do 3D modeling and make 3D models - for free and they can develop their passion.3D artists and people, who can't afford expensive shreware software.
The tools built into Grease Pencil completely shifted the course of my career. I'm not exaggerating when I say the power of this software and the willingness to provide it for free changed my life. Thanks to everyone on the team for everything they do.
I still find it hard to believe that Blender is free and accessible to all. There's almost nothing Blender can do. Its versatile addon feature creates a way for others to make money as well as help others by making addons that would push the limits and ease the work. Thank you Ton for making this wonderful software free and accessible to all and making everyone's passion towards 3d modeling to come true.
Thank you for all what you did and doing to this day. I never thought that one day I would work with Blender and moreover I've never ever imagined that I would fell in love with 3D graphics. Big respect for you guys 💪Keep going
Nice to meet you Ton and Blender teams! Remember. You guys have changed our world including my life. Thank you for creating Blender. It worths than just a program.
🧡what an incredible year 2022, you guys did a great job. BCON22 was sensational, there is so much to do behind the scenes at such a big event. There was definitely a lot to discuss and coordinate for such a big event, great team effort and role model for the whole Blender community, thank you.🧡
The community is the main reason Blender shines. It's where people do things because they're passionate, not just mainly for the money.
I can never imagine Blender without Ton. Wishing you a long lasting life Ton 🙏
It's like Linux without Linus.
Ditto
This man is the reason why blender is what it is
This man is a real gift to mankind. Thanks for given us Blender Mister Ton Roosendaal.
In Ton we trust
Always nice to see Ton's face. Blender is changing the future day by day. Keep it up.
u guys are the reason im still alive here, finally got a point for me to keep going on life, can't thankyou enough for everything u guys do.
This is a good reminder that you never know how your work might touch someone else. Keep making art, and we're glad you're still with us.
same!
"Because you guys care!" A lovely understatement, but an understatement none the less. I love every one of you fine, friendly people

Always a joy to hear from Ton. What a legend.
love that format, transparency is lowkey one of blender's best features. Couldn't name 1 person of any other software nore where they are at. 💙

I love Blender even more now, after watching this. Thank you to all the beautiful humans that make Blender possible!
It's all about PASSION!

Is that what the blender studio looks like? Awesome!
Thank you for Blender! I use it for many things for making objects for 3d printing, interior room designs, making models for papercraft, and practicing 3d animation. I love Blender. Not because it's free. But because how amazing the software is. There might be other 3D-software that are better on specific things. But for me Blender does everything I need in the way I like it. And also love the community.

14:14 Amazing shot.
From tarot, 14 is the Temperance; "balance, moderation, patience, purpose"
Amazing shot.
What Blender has accomplished to this date puts other software to shame.

I loved the vlog mood. so blender. Thanks.
