@@Kamdorian Did you install the relay? I have the same problem with the headlight indicators. I have done all the mods you have, just waiting for the CS Racing exhaust now:) Production time was around 35 days they said. So about 20 days left, hopefully.
It depends on how the visor is mounted. If it has mounts on the forks next to the current headlight then it won't fit because the new headlight brackets take up the space on the forks.
Hi did you end up swapping to tje extended seat? I've got the standard and my backside goes dead after 20 minutes of sitting in it. On the softest suspension setting and its rubbish so am looking to upgrade that too if you have any suggestions
I have the mid range standard seat and I added a cheap cushion from Amazon. It definitely helps with comfort to allow me to ride for 45min-1hr before it gets uncomfortable. I have a extended reach stock seat as well which is way more comfortable it has a gel insert in it but that seat puts me too far back so I have to reach farther to grab the handle bars. There are tons of custom aftermarket seats out there but can get expensive in the $600+ range. Or you can just buy a cheap air filled cushion from Amazon! Good luck and ride safe!
Hi, I have holes in my stock exhaust (drilled by previous owner) and it has failed a WOF. I’m hoping to get an exhaust like yours, but I’m not sure it’ll pass a WOF because of the decibels. Is yours compliant?
This exhaust is definitely louder than the stock exhaust with holes drilled so I assume it would also fail the WOF. I live in a state that doesn't require motorcycle inspection and no limit on noise.
Anyone have any experience putting on a windscreen w this headlight mod? Wondering which one I can install bc idk if the Vulcan a specific ones will fit
@@AmaTechBlog same as me! It depends on where it is currently positioned. I would say loosen the bolts and adjust the bars and see what is comfortable than tighten the bolts.
I'm surprised the booster plug removed your throttle jerkiness. I installed one on my Vulcan S and it still feels as horrifically twitchy as it was before. If the booster plug was installed on my bike without me knowing, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I wonder if it's because I have a California-model bike and something about the CARB equipment or ECU tuning is preventing the booster plug from being effective.
Hmm that's interesting. Is the air sensor mounted in a good open position without any pinch points? I wonder if it's a combination of my exhaust and the booster plug that makes it smoother. You could also check your throttle free play. My throttle free play was too loose before so that added some jerkiness. After tightening it got better. Good luck and ride safe!
@@Kamdorian Yeah, the air sensor is mounted in the same place you have yours, no pinches in the wire. I'll check my throttle freeplay: that's an easy and free adjustment I can do.
Hey, I just got my Vulcan S and about to install a headlight like yours. Quick question, I see a lot of exposed wires. Has it been an issue to wash your bike? Can it withstand spraying with pressure washer? I usually take my bike to a spot where they specialize in washing bikes. I saw them wrap up the button hubs on the handlebars so I'm wondering if wires like that in the headlight is gonna pose any problems
Haha as long as the dogs run away from me then I am fine! Before I got the whistle a few times dogs actually ran towards me while I was riding way too many close calls lol
Yes it makes the throttle much smoother and less jerky. Also when you release the throttle you won't feel the hard engine braking as much. It's also a pretty easy install to do it yourself?
@@Kamdorian Thanks ;) also I just watched video about Vulcan S ECU flash, so there is a factory setting : "Deceleration Fuel cut" which can be disabled. Basically it doesn't turn off fuel injectors when you release the throttle, also you get some bangs from your exhaust :)

Hey buddy hope this finds you well. Love the videos and the details you give about the parts you install. But I have a question. When it comes to the booster plug I know it makes a world of a difference once it's first installed but has your bike reverted back to the factory settings after a certain time.? There are a lot of mixed reviews about how the ECU overtime makes corrections and essentially the booster plug is not effective anymore. Thanks.
Thanks man I appreciate it. I have not noticed the booster plug reverting back at all. Still works fine after 3+ years. There may be something else wrong with the bike or the way the plug was installed if that is happening. Would probably be best to ask booster plug customer service. Good luck and ride safe buddy!
Thanks.. I did send them an email this morning hopefully I will hear back in a few days. Just curious as some of the people on the forum's regardless of the year of their bike claim it reverts back to factory. Which would make sense because the bike has an O2 sensor. The o2 is trying to correct for open and closed loop. The ECU makes adjustments to calculate the fuel change...... You know what makes you a great TH-camr? Is that you answer every question that is asked. Keep up the great work and content.
@@natedionne20 that's interesting..my bike has a cs racing exhaust which includes a muffler so maybe that is counter balancing the 02 sensor issue or somehow preventing the factory reset? CS racing claims that no booster plug or power commander are needed for their exhaust since it has the muffler. When they say return to factory do they mean they feel the stock jerkiness in the throttle and heavy engine braking? I love the feedback and engaging with you all in the comments, just glad the videos help people and I get to be a part of this community!
Could be a fully modded bike or a completely stock bike. Booster plug will only attend to throttle response and engine braking. So there is a wide range of aftermarket exhausts and intakes and power commanders that control or alter the air fuel ratios. That being said the booster plugs job is to only address the throttle scratchiness/lag/response and engine braking. From reading some articles once the booster plug has been installed people say it is a night and day difference with no issues... But a few people have also said that after the booster plug installed and going for a ride with their bikes a few times and/or going on trips its great however after they start their bike the third or fourth time it's been shut off... it has reverted back to the scratchy/laggy throttle response and back to the original engine braking. All have doubled checked for disconnected plugs or pinched line and even repositioned the sensor to different spots with no change for the better. one guy even said he had his bike serviced at the dealer for regular maintenance and once he got it back he noticed how bad it was. So he checked to make sure the dealer didn't disconnect or break anything and everything looks fine. He even called them and asked them exactly what they did and it appears they were nowhere near the booster plug. Another person said it will always start slowly reverting back to stock gradually even with the booster plug because the ecu's job is to calculate and readjust to where the factory has put the settings. He said it's not noticeable right away because it's slowly reverts back and you don't notice it happening all at once.
Response Directly from Booster plug "The discussion about the Fuel Injection ECU's ability to update its own basic fuel map (adaption) is a long term rumor that pops up once in a while. But the common narrow band lambda sensor that is found in all road approved vehicles is not able to update the fuel map, so the BoosterPlug is not cancelled out over time. And it’s actually quite simple to prove the adaption theory wrong: If you look at the millions of motorcycles with aftermarket exhausts installed, you will see (hear) that most of them have some degree of backfire or popping in the exhaust when the rider close the throttle. The aftermarket exhaust will flow a bit more air than the stock exhaust, and more air means that the air/fuel ratio (AFR) changes to the lean side - which causes the backfire on deceleration. If the adaption theory was right, the lambda sensor would sense the change in AFR, and the ECU would update it’s basic fuel map - and then the problem would be solved and there would be no more popping or backfire in the exhaust. But we all know that these bikes does not cure themself and the backfire stays the same over time - so there is no adaption proces taking place !!! And it is the same thing with the BoosterPlug: Our device is changing the AFR (This time to the better), but the Lambda sensor and he ECU will not be able to reverse the changes. We have sold more than 80.000 units since we founded the BoosterPlug company in 2009, and our customers are as happy with the BoosterPlug in year 2-3-4 as they were on day one. And we have lots of returning customers purchasing their second or third BoosterPlug when they get a new bike. Fancy sales talk can usually fool a few people, but we would never have seen this massive support for our device if it stopped working after some time.
Thanks! Yea I definitely want larger rear tires thanks for the recommendation! Did you have to change anything on the swing arm to fit the larger tire?
Yea totally needed. It was relatively cheap as far as mods go. Kawa should have made it standard it's just a piece of metal, im sure they could make it in house or outsource for very cheap.

I'm not too sure about the logic of a brighter headlight being better than stock. I've had people flash their car bright lights at me because they thought my high beam was on and they literally blinded me for a split second. If someone can't see a standard headlight (of course you should use high beams on occasions when necessary) then there's nothing you can buy to protect yourself from that individual.
I agree it all depends on how bright it is and yes too bright can be dangerous for on coming traffic. I did a test with my wife driving her car coming towards me at night and she said the headlight was not blindingly bright but good brightness for visibility.
Awesome vids man. Huge help over the last year. 2 questions. 1. Since you installed the bar end mirrors, did you figure out how to "fill the gap" between them and the bar end? I got the same mirrors (round ones) and because the threading of the handlebar sticks out, the mirror doesn't fit flush. I could cut off the bit of the handlebar that sticks out but that seems excessive. 2. Once you installed the BoosterPlug, did you notice an increase in your idle RPMs? I installed it last summer and dont recall it happening then but now, whenever I am sitting at a stop light/sign, I hover around 2-2.25k RPM.
Thanks man appreciate it! Check out this video on how I installed mine. I am not sure if the gap exists? th-cam.com/video/MnQjeLdtQIg/w-d-xo.html. For idle speed wait until your bike warms up and see if the idle rpm drops. If not then you can easily adjust the idle by turning the idle adjustment screw per the user manual. The normal idle is 1250-1350 rpm. I have not had any rpm issues with the booster plug. Also make sure your air sensor is properly situated pointing towards the front of the bike. Let me know how it goes, good luck and ride safe!
It sucks. I got those same mirrors, got them where I like them, turned to the left not thinking and the mirror hit the tank and scratched it. I smacked myself so hard after that…
Sorry to hear that definitely feels bad to scratch up the tank. When I installed mine I slowly turned fully both ways to make sure the mirrors didn't hit the tank. A lot of companies sell paint touch up kits that could easily fix the scratches or at least make them less visible.

They run away..in a instinctual direction that we should pray isn't the street we are on lol, it is a relevant thing to consider, because as they say, leave sleeping dogs lye, a deer grazing in a field hears that where they might have just kept grazing, now they are startled and running on instinct

Hey man, did you paint the panels on the desires or get blacked out panels? If you painted them what did you use?
Which panels are you referring to? I haven't painted anything on the bike. This is the 2017 model that came in this awesome matte black color.
@@Kamdorian OH snap. OK. The semi-shiney black metal panels on the side are like a brushed aluminum color on mine. I'm probably going to plastidip them or something. Your bike looks sweet as heck.
@@ZeeroDubs thanks yea plastidip or spray paint will work. I want to black it out even more by painting the engine plates and a few other areas.
Did you need a new relay for the front indicators? Or for the fender delete?
the headlight, taillight, and indicators all work without the new relay however I am getting some hyper flash so I will be installing the relay soon. Hopefully it will also fix the integration between the headlight and indicators to blink together.
@@Kamdorian Did you install the relay? I have the same problem with the headlight indicators. I have done all the mods you have, just waiting for the CS Racing exhaust now:) Production time was around 35 days they said. So about 20 days left, hopefully.
I just installed the relay and it fixed the headlight indicators...
Would those headlights fit with my visor that came with the cafe racer edition?
It depends on how the visor is mounted. If it has mounts on the forks next to the current headlight then it won't fit because the new headlight brackets take up the space on the forks.
@@Kamdorian thank man, i sent u a message on IG too btw
I live in a state that doesn't require motorcycle inspection and no limit on noise.
i may be missing it. but i didnt see a link for the booster plug. Or does that come with the exhaust?
I forgot to add it to the description. Just added it. Also here is the link www.boosterplug.com/shop/boosterplug-kawasaki-584p.html

Good looking VS. The blinkers are awesome! Did It come with 4 or just the two?
Thanks! It came in a 2 pack but I'm pretty sure you can buy in 4 pack to cover the rear turn signals.
Did you paint your clutch cover?
Nope it came like that
I'm surprised the booster plug removed your throttle jerkiness.
@Ducati Monster cool ill check it out thanks!
lmao you have good taste bro, I have same bike and car as you haha (live in NJ too)
Haha nice man where in NJ? We should meet up for a ride
@@phanhieu705 nice congrats man! Would be best to use electrical tape to cover exposed wires so you don't get a short if the wires get wet
@Kamdorian yeah, for sure. I'll just cover everything with tape or get a small windshield or something to cover it
You must freak out a lot of dogs with that deer whistle.
Haha as long as the dogs run away from me then I am fine! Before I got the whistle a few times dogs actually ran towards me while I was riding way too many close calls lol
Could you tell more about the Booster plug? does it eliminates throttle action feeling like it only has two positions: on or off :D
@@Svendrys wow that's very interesting, I wonder if there is a way to change the default setting
@@Kamdorian Seen they (yt channel: Moore Mafia) using "woolich racing software" but you need a cable which cost ~$350, maybe there is a cheaper options. They say you can send them your ECU to remap, but I'm from Europe so it's not an option for me :(

It should fit but the mounting location is taken by the led headlight brackets. You would need a new mounting system for either the cowl or headlight.

Ever thought of changing handlebar ?
Yea would like some mini ape hangers one day but a lot of work to change them
Hey buddy hope this finds you well.
Response Directly from Booster plug
"The discussion about the Fuel Injection ECU's ability to update its own basic fuel map (adaption) is a long term rumor that pops up once in a while.
But the common narrow band lambda sensor that is found in all road approved vehicles is not able to update the fuel map, so the BoosterPlug is not cancelled out over time.
And it’s actually quite simple to prove the adaption theory wrong:
If you look at the millions of motorcycles with aftermarket exhausts installed, you will see (hear) that most of them have some degree of backfire or popping in the exhaust when the rider close the throttle.
Have a nice day 🏍
Best Regards"

I'm not too sure about the logic of a brighter headlight being better than stock. I've had people flash their car bright lights at me because they thought my high beam was on and they literally blinded me for a split second. If someone can't see a standard headlight (of course you should use high beams on occasions when necessary) then there's nothing you can buy to protect yourself from that individual.
I agree it all depends on how bright it is and yes too bright can be dangerous for on coming traffic. I did a test with my wife driving her car coming towards me at night and she said the headlight was not blindingly bright but good brightness for visibility.
@@Kamdorian I will add that I do drive with my bright on during the daytime because I feel it would be difficult to blind someone during the day.
