    @gears and gasoline. How well did you have to clean for it not to spit and spatter? The sealer didnt cause an issue ?

    you should've spot welded it instead of seam welded.. it puts less stress on the sheet metal

    Will this be necessary for FWD drag application?

    • @Nasonix2
      @Nasonix2 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No because you really want the kind of structural rigidity that they're going for in mainly road course tracks or perhaps autocross. For drag though, where there isn't cornering involved, you want to keep your chassis's factory crumble design in case of an accident. You want the front of the car to absorb as much of the impact as possible whereas seam welding reduces it. Seam welding can strengthen the parts that are meant to crumble in a crash. And can make a street car or drag car potentially more dangerous for the driver.

    Throw a new 2.3 st engine in that

      +Hevert Pacheco That would make less power than the engine that's going in it ;)
      Stay tuned!

    yikes! You know there is a reason no one uses a tig welder to stitch weld right? And you should never run a bead for more than an inch without letting it cool completely off before continuing on the exact same section with that thin of sheet metal. No offense guy but i can only imagine how badly you warped that chassis. You were on the right track about smaller amount of weld but that isn't what it means...

    • @TheZohanLohan
      @TheZohanLohan 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      a good tig weld will be stronger than mig. but theres really no point in tig welding this if you can mig weld it, mig will be plenty strong. and ya he probably warped it a little

    • @iBLOODBATHproduction
      @iBLOODBATHproduction 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im not saying tig welds arnt stronger than mig. Im saying there is a time and place for both of these methods and that was not the time to tig, unless he was shooting for a lot of warping.

      ***** tig welding just sucks for this kind of stuff too
