  • Very fun, but was also quite easy after the Kraken. The reward is the legendary magic lightning sword called "Reproach of the Old Gods".

    First phase Rachegeist has a group of fallen betrayers accompanying him. They're basically fallen heroes equipment wise, but have normal (9) AP, high melee attack and defence skills. The Rachegeist himself is the same as them in phase 1, except he has a lot of HP and wields the lightning sword.
    BE WARNED, while a nimble team can easily tank the lightning sword, the lightning damage ignores all armor, and could very quickly kill someone with heavy armor and battle forged. The lightning magic/enchantment/whatever hits up to 3 targets at once as well.
    I recommend killing all the fallen betrayers before depleting the Rachegeist's HP to 0. After that, you have the second phase. The Rachegeist transforms into a ghost, with not much HP, but higher attack and defence. He also summons 10 Geists, so having high resolve/resolve trophies/resolve armor and a high resolve banner carrier with rally is pretty good to have. And remember, in Phase 2 the Rachegeist will still keep attacking with his lightning sword.
    This was an easy fight for me, but without the proper troops, it could be difficult. I would also recommend 2 handed hammers since you are going up against heavily armored fallen betrayers (as well as the Rachegeist).
    The reward is none other than the "Reproach of the Old Gods", the legendary lightning sword. Haven't tested it yet, but it seems like it will be the best possible weapon on any duelist. It does physical damage, but also added lightning damage that always ignores all armor, and hits up to 3 targets. The damage is far from being that low either.

    Battle Brothers is a turn based tactical RPG which has you leading a mercenary company in a gritty, low-power, medieval fantasy world. You decide where to go, whom to hire or to fight, what contracts to take and how to train and equip your men in a procedurally generated open world campaign. Do you have what it takes to lead them through bloody battles and to victory?

    NOTE: Finally fixed the screen flickering.

    Your nimble build is interesting. Would you make a video showing how you build them?

    • @Ythundyth

      Perhaps. Here's the perks if you are interested: tumult.cc/bb-calc.html?1-9&1-8&1-3&2-6&2-5&5-4&6-3&7-4&7-3&6-1&5-1
      As for attributes, I level up melee skill, melee defence and health every level (after getting to 100+ melee skill I start putting points into ranged defence as well, instead of melee skill).
      Equipment wise, leather with bone plating for armor, for the head either the Witchunter's Hat or the Dark Cowl from Necromancers. Accessory is always a resolve boosting trophy, Alp, Nachzerer or Hexen. For weapons I usually use two-handed hammers for almost every enemy. The armor damage, relatively high hp damage, great AOE attack, good injuries and stagger make it the by far the best versus humans, undead and orcs. Even lightly armored beasts and goblins take a lot of damage from the hammers, although greatswords would probably be better for 2 different AOE attacks instead of 1, and higher HP damage. Although the hammer still has the advantage of stagger, making it useful against enemies like Unholds.
      I also have a separate build for both my Davkul Duelist and my Banner Carrier, both of which also use Nimble.

      @@YthundythAbout your davkul set. I had never got them.
      How many cultist do you have (original and converted)?. And what are your cultists's level when the Davkul events happen? And in which day in your campaign?

    • @Ythundyth
      @Ythundyth  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jasonbui7522 I had two cultists at over level 11. About 4 converted at the time, I think, all level 11 or close. The two Davkul events can happen either on plains, or in any kind of forest. They can happen from right when it turns from dusk to night, right up to the transition to dawn.
      I got lucky and got both the Davkul armor pieces not long after day 200. You don't get both at once, you get them separately in two events. The helmet apparently doesn't need the cultists in your party, but by then I already had a party full of cultists.
      Do keep in mind that with all the random other events, there is only a small chance of the Davkul events triggering.

    Excuse me, fine Sir. Wasn't the Nimble build nerfed to earth last patch? Is it still viable? I've always wanted to try something different than battleforged

    • @Ythundyth
      @Ythundyth  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was nerfed, yes. I haven't had time to try it out yet, although as far as I can tell, Battle Forged is better now. It does still seem viable, just not as good. Although it is still very good on archers, unless those are using very heavy armor.
      I'll try it out eventually, and see if it's really bad or still good enough.

      Everyone is using nimble. Whether they're using two-handed hammers or polearms, or if they're archers. There is one who has both nimble and battle forged, the duelist in Davkul armor. Other than that, no one has battle forged.

      @@Ythundyth Thanks for the quick reply. I had a follow up question-do you use any level up roles on Fatigue for nimble guys or is it just HP/Matk/Mdef?

    • @Ythundyth
      @Ythundyth  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@vvin9931 No fatigue, just HP/Matk/Mdef. At over 100 Matk, I started putting points into ranged defence instead of attack. But continued leveling HP and Matk.
      Usually I recruit people with relatively high starting fatigue anyway, and since nimble means only my weapons will be using fatigue, generally everyone has a lot of available fatigue without any level ups.

      jonathan sweet Leather tunic with bone plating for armor, for the head either
      the Witchunter's Hat or the Dark Cowl from Necromancers. Accessory is
      always a resolve boosting trophy, Alp, Nachzerer or Hexen. Davkul duelist is obviously wearing the Glimpse and Aspect of Davkul, along with an undead trophy for immunity to charm, horrify, sleep etc...

    Hello siri i come to you asking for help! How do we get the to the point of this fight" i mean i find the watermill but that doesnt initiate anything?

    • @Ythundyth
      @Ythundyth  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here's what you need to do (spoilers):
      1. Search for the Watermill.
      2. Talk with the old man (son went to kill a giant beast).
      3. Look for the stone pillars (circle) in the swamps.
      4. Talk with the woman (she gives you two quests).
      5. Bring the woman Unhold Hides. (it's a set number more than you currently have in your inventory)
      6. Bring the woman Shimmering Ashes. (it's a set number more than you currently have in your inventory)
      7. Fight the Kraken (be warned, this fight is both buggy and could easily be your doom if you're not prepared)
      8. After the battle, you get the sword blade. Return to the watermill.
      9. Return to the watermill. The old man will remake the sword, then call you a fool and try to kill you. After that, if you win, you get the sword "The Reproach of the Old Gods".
      Good luck.

    • @Ythundyth
      @Ythundyth  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They already nerfed nimble quite some time before your comment. I haven't had time to try it out yet, although as far as I can tell, Battle Forged is better now. It does still seem viable, just not as good. Although it is still very good on archers, unless those are using very heavy armor. I'll try it out eventually, and see if it's really bad or still good enough.
      And nimble now works best with light armor, instead of naked or clothes.

    • @Neyreyan
      @Neyreyan 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Ythundyth i am especially angry about this subject because there were people on the forum saying not to nerf it:) and the best build was to put points into hp each level up:) that was a weird time for the game

    • @Ythundyth
      @Ythundyth  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Neyreyan But since they've changed nimble to be better with light armor now, wouldn't you say that it's a nice alternative for anyone with high HP and light (perhaps unique) armor? Battle forged is now better in most cases, unless your HP is very high (unlikely without great starting stats, stars and veteran levels). Since light armor is needed to make the best use of nimble, you will still have to use tools to repair it, and finding armor is now something worthwhile for nimble troops.

    • @Neyreyan
      @Neyreyan 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Ythundyth the problem is that the game does not have the heavy armor/light armor tags....and that makes the game a bit exploitable

    • @Ythundyth
      @Ythundyth  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Neyreyan Eh, I'll check it out later, but even with armor, nimble just doesn't seem as good anymore. It's good for archers which don't have much armor, but no so good on frontliners. You would need at least 200 HP to be as good as before or more, so I don't really see nimble being exploitable anymore. With lower damage reduction, injuries will also be more common for nimble troops now. The cap for max nimble reduction right now is 15 fatigue penalty from armor, so it does need to be at least relatively light armor, or you'll need to sacrifice either torso or head armor for heavier armor on one (doesn't make sense). Somebody with Battle Forged in good armor can take more hits from just about anything now, except armor penetration from things like hammers and Schrats.
      But I'll see. I'll try it out, and see how "balanced" the game is now.
