- Welcome to Theodora’s country, The Netherlands! One of the most amazing things about Holland aka The Netherlands are the Dutch flower fields. The Dutch tulip fields of the Netherlands are something you must experience. Every year close to 1.5 million tourists visit the famous Dutch flower garden 'de Keukenhof'. This garden is beautiful, but the real beauty can be seen on the endless tulip fields on the country side.
Legend says that the tulip became so popular in the 17th century that it created an economic bubble known as “Tulip Mania.” The buying and selling of bulbs became so expensive that the market crashed. Though historians differ on the extremity and accuracy of the legend, tulips still remain an important aspect of the Netherlands’ history.
You can set off from Amsterdam on a tour to admire the beauty of Keukenhof Gardens and the tulip fields near de Keukenhof. Enjoy the colorful display of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths in bloom at the magnificent Keukenhof Gardens or in the surrounding areas of Lisse and Noordwijkerhout. With seasonal flowering that lasts only eight weeks, this is something you don't want to miss on your trip to The Netherlands. @@Babewheresmypassport All of that flowers will be cut and left in the field to rot. Since there is no value attached to them by the owner, would it be acceptable for somebody, at any time, to pick a bouquet and take home, or would it be considered stealing? Maybe there is a system where you pay the owner somehow, some roadside collection box? Its sims like an enormous waste of perfectly good flowers.

Tulips were amazing, visited Amsterdam about 5 years ago and went to see the windmills which was great and a few other places, but really wanted to see the tulips,but didn’t get time so Thankyou for the footage😀.
