Beautiful information, Thank-you. However when shops say 50” do they refer to actual length or width? I’m totally confused about my LG TV which gave up & instead of repair I want to buy new but the same size as the old one we measured from left to right at the bottom and it say 49.8” am I doing right because if I order from Walmart 50” and open the box & it’s not same size as my old one I don’t want the hassle of boxing & returning it, too much waste of time

Where did you buy this tape mesure? The numbers decrease as you move right. The longer the tape, the shorter the reading???!!!!!

I got ripped off!!!! I bought a 75" TV and when I measured it with your tape measure, it read 11 inches.
