TWC x BENZINGER | Masters Collection - A Collection of Artists

Jochen Benzinger is one of the world’s premier guilloche artists. He is called upon by only the most established and exclusive brands in the world to help them produce the masterpieces they envision. Towson Watch Company has had the pleasure of working with Benzinger for the past 25 years. He hosts a wide array of rare watchmaking machines in his workshop in Pforzheim, Germany. Including vintage rose engines, CNC mills, plating setups, and lathes that are all used to make Towson Watches found in the Masters Collection.
The Masters Collection encompasses TWC’s most elaborate timepieces. Each model was derived from our founding watchmaker’s goals for their personal collections. Hartwig Balke, George Thomas and Jochen Benzinger each wanted a Towson Watch commercially available in the TWC Collections that spoke to their unique identity as a designer and watchmaker. This is why the Masters Collection was formulated.
Along with the Special Edition Benzinger Choptank offered each year in the Chesapeake Collection, each timepiece found in the Masters Collection features a frosted sterling silver guilloche dial.
George Thomas always said, “TWC is a collection of artists.” This is because our founders aimed to bring together the best of the best at what they do to make a Towson Watch. Benzinger was the best in the world at making a hand-guilloche dial, and luckily, we have a very long history and close connection with him. He is Towson’s proudest partner & collaborator and will continue to be so. We will never depart from using our close partners across the pond just to bring the entirety of the Towson watchmaking approach to America. Our desired quality of timepiece far exceeds our patriotism and branding goals. In other words…Towson Watch Company will continue to commission only the best of the best to make fine timepieces.
