I haven't followed him at all but after listening to him speak, he's a wealth of knowledge. His retention level is awesome. I wonder at a young age and he played with Lillard made him that much better. Great interview.
My absolute favorite part about being an NBA fan is watching guys from the start of their NBA career and watching how they change and grow. Anfernee is a special kid, and seeing the whole NBA start to blitz him is validating, it's like yeah. Now watching him try to learn how to adjust to this is exciting, luckily he obviously learned a lot from Dame.
Bro yall were clicking today, episode felt very smooth, Tommy was great, Anfernee was a joyfull guest and JJ had it going too with the foul tricks at the start. Awesome ep congrats.
Not to be harsh but I don’t think Simons is a starter when they are actually a playoff team again his defense is nonexistent and his stats seem empty he seems suited to be a 6th man on any actual good team
This might be my favorite episode so far and I’ve watched A LOT of em. Being born and raised in Portland might give me some biased feelings, but still. The reminiscence, meaning of supportive vets and Dame appreciation are all itches I’ve been waiting for this show to scratch.
i think the hardest call for the refs foul rule should be amended to specify that if the defensive player is running towards or closing out on the offensive player and bumps him, its a foul. But if the offensive player initiates the contact or the defender is moving backwards or laterally, it isn't a foul
I feel that, trying to feel the game out and starting 1-5 in the 1st half and then dropping 17+ in the 2nd half’s. It felt better so I didn’t rush and felt comfortable
I’d like to see Tim Duncan on this podcast. The way Tommy and JJ ask these questions and engage with their guest is smooth and keeps it flowing with ease
This was surprisingly one of my favourite interviews - Anfernee is clearly a baller but also seems down to earth and humble about it too. Very much a learner of the game too from the way he speaks. I have to ask the question and I hope I'm not repeating someone else's but...is Lebron James ever going to come on this podcast?
Fr, there's so many vets out there that rebuilding teams could sign short-term contracts with to just pass on wisdom to these young guys from the sidelines. Dwight Howard, Dwayne Wade, Vince Carter, LaMarcus Aldridge, etc.
@c-rlos sure, I'm no GM, obviously. Although, I think Aldridge could still suit up. Just whoever they think would be the best presence and source of knowledge and may be able to give 1-5 points in a worst case scenario 😅
Not likely Aldridge is coming back - he has a heart condition. And, in Portland’s case at least, he bolted for San Antonio after assuring the Blazers that he would re-sign there as a free agent
Wish more vets were like Dame. Guys are always retiring talking about how the young guys have it easy and this and that but there’s not much of a vet culture in todays league
The Quickley foul on Cam Reddish was one of the worst travesties. Marcus Smart got called for embellishing the same day as Cam doesn't. Quickley couldn't change his movement to the bucket, and Cam was moving backwards and across Quickley when the contact occurred. There was no intent, and yet he still gets tossed. Very poor refereeing call.
Simons a dog man love watching him been watching for years I hope the Blazers can clean house in front office and figure out how to surround him and Sharpe with talent. Idk why they keep drafting guards when we obviously need defenders
Like who spells their kids name “anfernee” did they hear a chinese dude say “anthony” and they were like “yep, perfect, love the way that sounds. It’s almost correct but nice and different. No one will know, Anfernee it is”🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
So JJ just keeps defending the refs after that lakers/raptors rigging 😂😂 now we know he’s just an nba puppet. Just call it like it is. The game was fixed for the lakers to win. 23-2 difference in a quarter is ABSURD
We need vets, but not the ones who dont care to be there(grant, brogdon, ayton, thybulle)...also a coach who doesnt care and doesnt know how to coach. lets get chauncey n theses guys gone and move on upward. go blazers
I haven't followed him at all but after listening to him speak, he's a wealth of knowledge. His retention level is awesome. I wonder at a young age and he played with Lillard made him that much better. Great interview.
Such humility...have really enjoyed watching Ant's career.
Wow, what a wonderful person. Thanks so much for introducing us to so many great players/people.

dame a real one for helping younger players in-game like this
Bro yall were clicking today, episode felt very smooth, Tommy was great, Anfernee was a joyfull guest and JJ had it going too with the foul tricks at the start. Awesome ep congrats.
Him & Sharpe are going to be an insane backcourt for the blazers moving forward.
i think theyll trade him around when his contract is up and build around scoot and sharpe.
Not to be harsh but I don’t think Simons is a starter when they are actually a playoff team again his defense is nonexistent and his stats seem empty he seems suited to be a 6th man on any actual good team
@@jonthesinnernot based on this season.
@@bkelly625bow are his stats empty?
@@bkelly625 lol 😂 we need to stop this defense talking point. The league is high offense n the talent is great. Most players don’t play defense.

Can’t wait to watch this, JJ please get OG Anunoby on this pod. Love
Yeh Viola Davis would be awesome on this show 🙏
Yet another in the lengthening string of outstanding guests in OM&3. Love this dude.
I'm so happy that he was on this show. He's easily one of my favorite players in the League and should get much more pub.
I love to see Anfernee interviews. He's not typically very talkative, so it's good to see him open up.
Liked Ant before the interview, loved him after. Great interview. Thank you!

i’ve literally never clicked on a video faster in my life
I love Simons. Thanks for having Ant of the show JJ. I would love to talk about Dame with you someday JJ lol
Love Ant, great to see him grow into his bigger role. Unfortunate timing with the blowout loss yesterday but the kid is a certified bucket
I feel that, trying to feel the game out and starting 1-5 in the 1st half and then dropping 17+ in the 2nd half’s. It felt better so I didn’t rush and felt comfortable
That segment at 32:00 goes out to all the scoot haters fr
Been waiting on this!! ORLANDO FL STAND UP, we proud of you gang!! 💪🏾🌳💯
I’d like to see Tim Duncan on this podcast. The way Tommy and JJ ask these questions and engage with their guest is smooth and keeps it flowing with ease
Tim Duncan would be amazing
Love this 5 level scoring, Gil said the same thing but the 5th level is the triple threat.
Top 5 humble players
We love Ant here in Portland!
The Simons segment is 62 minutes long. Just an observation. Nothing more...
i don’t even care if it actually is, this is hilarious
Comes from my hometown born in Altamonte springs Florida ☝🏽 hometown hero
I credit Anferno for getting OM3 to 1 mil subs

crazy i seen anfernee play at img like in 2019 i believe, in some crazy triple OT game against FSW … he had a 30 point triple double
As a wichita state university and duke fan, its awesome to hear you were Shamat's vet 💙
Who wins between these lineups
Doncic, Haliburton, Tatum, Wemby, Jokic
SGA, Booker, Giannis, Holmgren, Embiid
Post Work is a level JJ.
Finally time stamps
Fr, there's so many vets out there that rebuilding teams could sign short-term contracts with to just pass on wisdom to these young guys from the sidelines. Dwight Howard, Dwayne Wade, Vince Carter, LaMarcus Aldridge, etc.
None of those guys are ever getting on an NBA roster again lol better off going for Ibaka, Iggy, T Ross
@c-rlos sure, I'm no GM, obviously. Although, I think Aldridge could still suit up.

Thank u for mentioning how Eric Gordon had consistently spot up from 30 ft
Anfernee's mindset is sharp
Great episode as always!!! But we need more Knicks players on 🙏🏾
Anfernee ain’t lying, Russ legit looks 6’5 205 sometimes to me out there
Anfernee "never breaking eye-contact" Simons
JJ “It’s a different game” Reddick
Anfernee “it’s a DIFFERENT game” Simmons
So... Where's ep 200? 👀
I think it came out Wednesday bro it’s him and Tim leg
Tommy calling it like it is with the refs 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤ the goat 🐐
Gil talked about the 5 level scorer a few months back
My GOAT in PDX
Straight dawg
Teams watching this "okay, trap him with smaller, quicker players"
Dude gotta chill with all the scouting report stuff in podcasts lol
If that’s gonna stop him he won’t belong anyway, he gonna power through 💪🏾

4th level should be floater/pull up fade à la Kobe and Booker
How would Dame of helped Scoots development if he would of stayed in Portland??
I've been saying for years that guys need to get the floater into their arsenal.
Nice
good dude
It depends how good you can do it 😉
JJ just shooting a mfing ca at Eric cannonball lmao uncalled for
Damn him and BI got the same baby mama lol
KD has gotta be a 5 level scorer right?
He sounds like Lou Williams

Mr Duke blue devil you forgot the ability to draw fouls and make Ft as a level of offense come JJ my guy
