    I've edited the soul nebula some further doing some proper star removal, green noise removal and some small improvements in Photohop. You can find the 'final' (is an image ever final?) on my telescopius profile for instance -> telescopius.com/pictures/view/177720/deep_sky/soul-nebula/IC/1848/diffuse-nebula/by-schoenmaker

    Lots to learn

      There is always lots to learn. Be careful though with my video as it is far from a tutorial and a step by step way of how to do things. But it does show what is possible with software like Siril

    Hi Martin, again great video. I own pixinsight but still use siril for stacking.

      Thanks Glenn! I still haven't found a reason for purchasing PixInsight. Siril gets better and better every month.

    Quick Question…. Is there any way to say take a stacked image and add it onto more data from a later session?

      @KopLamp  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely! That is why I have a catalog of all my data. So I can use it later in larger stacks. As long as you also have a way to properly calibrate those images (or only store the calibrated files)

      This is a video where I show how I have organized my files so I can use it to build larger stacks later.

      @@KopLamp thank you so much what do you mean by the calibrated files…?

      I store the individual images next to the stacks. Adding more images (called subs) to a set of data is usually most advantageous when dealing with the individual subs instead of adding new images to an already stacked image.
      Subs need to be calibrated before stacking. That is when you apply darks, biases and flats into the software. The software actually stacks those calibrated subs instead of the original images.
      Long story short; I was referring to storing those calibrated subs. So the subs that have darks biases and flats calibration already applied.
