Nailed it, this is a perfectly adequate $50k 4WD that will be useful and last many years. Then someone added another 30k onto the price.
That's the nostalgia tax

like them a utilitarian wagon , wish we had LC 70 series wagon and troopy and LC 300's in the U.S.... as most our wagons/S.U.V.'s sold in the U.S. are more a 3 row luxury family school bus with" independent rear axle for that smooth ride and leg room for the 3rd row "
That’s a rocket compared to the V8 D4D
What would be the reason for persisting with an engine driven fan? Surely, duel electric fans would be more than enough to do the job. Plus it would be quieter and maybe save a bit of fuel.
please review Land Cruiser Prado J250
Slow and heavy amazing combo right there
I think if they are gonna get rid of the v8, they should at least offer the 3.3 v6 from the 300 series as a flagship motor
Great idea. Even if it has to be detuned a bit.
Probably needs a bit longer to make sure it's reliable. The 2.8 is about 9 years old at this point so it's more proven than the 3.3
did you make that mess in the engine bay? 😄
10s for a brick on wheels not to shabby the real test would be towing test 0-100 that's when you need quick acceleration.
I wonder how much power the engine can make when fully tuned?
I’ve heard even just a throttle controller can change the feel/response quite a bit. Add ECU tune or chip and an exhaust and it should go pretty good.
2/fifths of stuff all.
Crash safety?
Not sure - we didn’t crash it.
It's a truck from 1970s. What are you expecting?
The answer is yes
🇷🇺👍
underpowered and overpriced seriously underteched and ugly old crap machine, my 300kw v8 patrol uses 11l per 100 on trip and 12.5 in town
Bull. The v8 patrol factory fuel figure is 14.4 and they are always wrong. Owners report usage around town over 20l/100
Goon
