With greatest respect to Swami, whom I follow- I am a peripheral member of the NY Vedanta Society- while Spinoza is similar to Advaita Vedanta in one respect- that all that exists is one substance- it’s nevertheless important to emphasize that Spinoza’s substance is not inherently conscious. It is only conscious insofar as we are conscious. In other words, Spinoza is a strict materialist, all his references to “God” notwithstanding. Consciousness for Spinoza is an epiphenomenon of “substance” - it is secondary, not fundamental. Therefore as far as I know, which is not far, Einstein, did not accord with Vedanta in his fundamental view of reality.
