Exactly. She chose to speak at a slow speed at her part 2, which is very wise of her, since it gave her ample time for searching for details and having a great output.
the way she constructed her thoughts and relay it vocally is very amazing. this is coming from someone who's very keen on his grammar that I became conscious when trying to just be conversational.
Watching my fellow countrymen taking this examination and knowing that she actually got a score of 8.5 gives me inspiration. I'm confident enough that I could do better than her.
As a Filipino, I can speak two dialects(Akeanon, Hiligaynon), Filipino, and English. Sometimes it is hard to express your thoughts when speaking to native English speakers. Especially, I still have that habit of translating my mother tongue to English that's why I have that gap time during making a response, and I kind of panic when I got nervous when talking to strangers over the phone or even personally. Oftentimes, I prefer to have a conversation with English native speakers using writing as a medium of communication, since I can edit my response and also I can proofread my grammar before sending an e-mail or message in which I cannot do if I will have an on the spot interview or casual conversation with someone using English.
same din po sa akeanon. It became a language not sure when di ko lng maalala. Narinig ko lng sa kaibigan ko, which narinig nya rin sa iba. Dahil pinagtatakahan din naman kung language na ba talaga sya😂
Direct and thorough answers to seemingly intermediate queries. Even though pronunciation may sound regionalistic sometimes, it’s mostly neutral. Anywhere between an 8.5 to 9 for fluency, vocabulary and grammar definitely.
Wow ✨ She did amazing with her grammar and what's more is that she talked about issues articulately, in a way that would make us ponder over these things and persuades us to make an action. 😭 I could say, I've fallen in love.
I cant imagine myself talking that good infront of examiner. You have to have a lot of guts to do it. Kudos to this woman, she spoke very well and got a deep english vocabularies. How I wish someday i could also speak as good as her.

I am good in english, but definitely I do lack in my confidence during a speaking session. I sometime stutter or pause a lot and lost for a moment. Maybe I am too much of an over thinker, where while I am speaking my mind is kind of roaming around anywhere. I hope I could focus myself if ever I would get into this situation. I am planning to have the examination in IELTS in the near future. I am hopeful anyway, and trying all my best to practice my english skills wether reading, speaking, listening and writing. I wish myself a good luck.

Taking the IELTS exam in the Philippines especially for the Speaking Part, Filipino Examiners have the tendency to be perfectionist. Even if you are the best speaker in the whole room if the examiner feels you are above them or somewhat good they still give you a lower score.
True 😂 Too bad we are in the Philippines. Before I always got band 7 in Speaking but my IELTS reached its expiration so I must take again but sadly I got 6.5 even if I already practiced a lot with teachers and they told me I could get at least band 7. I'm confused why I got 6.5 🤔

Why are people mocking her accent so much? Most Filipinos speak English properly and despite the pronunciation it has clarity there was in no part of the video where you could not understand her. People feel so smart just by judging the accent and pronunciation but forget the purpose of what they're talking about. I myself am not the best, but it's shameful and ignorant to judge just by how they talk. And let's not forget, English is not even her first language, yet the people judging her only speak English themselves. 💀

I have a friend who used to be an IELTS examiner. He said that one thing you must never ever do - contest your score. If you did, you would get even lower scores, deliberately. The IELTS examiners are like doctors. They cover for each other.
I knew someone who speaks better than her but still got a lower score. I really dont know whats goin on with scoring. But it's nice that at this level of speaking, it could get you an 8.5, this gives more hope for those future applicants.
Wow, gosh. Her thought process is so amazing. The fact that she was able to answer all those questions in that small amount of time is a-mazing. Kudos to Miss Tala!
I'm a Filipino, I failed the speaking test for the US visa screen (required 7). I got 6.5 and requested for remark and there was no change. I underestimated this exam, I thought that it would be easy for me to pass and get my desired score because I have been working as a nurse case manager (USRN) health coach for years. I have been speaking with American patients for years. I was confident about my speaking skills. however, for some reason, I failed this test. lesson learned. Now I am learning some strategies on how to get a score of 7 on IELTS speaking.

I think part 3 would be an example for students going to the university especially reasoning out in social issues related subjects or being able to express yourself in introducing your country and culture in a deeper perspective with your new friends abroad.
@Afi Entezar, same observations here. When I took my IELTS speaking exam a couple of years back, I got a band score of 8.0, although the questions asked, specially part 3, were not as difficult or as tough as with Ms. Tala. Anyway, it's an amazing & very inspiring video
I'm not an expert in languages but for the one who want take my humble advaise if you want to aquire a language while living an a country where this language is not spoken i would suggest you , to read a lot and out loud don't simply read with your eyes you should be active in your Reading be total in it and don't read with intetion to learn the language , don't try to memorize anything just read relax , read about something you enjoy and if you have a spare time invest it on watchig video or film in that language and you'll be surprised how fast you have absorbed that language without even be aware of that
English is the 2nd language in the Philippines, that's why Tala is effortlessly got an 8.5 score. But many of us Filipino's has a poor grammar & vocabulary, we call it here English Barok or English Carabao. I wish my speaking skills is as ls good as Tala's..😊
1:26 Sir Adrian, I am a proud Filipino fan of yours, I have just sent my answer through the admin email of AEHelp. I am crossing my fingers hoping that my email will be picked from among the first three senders. Thank you for this opportunity. Wishing you more success and subscribers.
@Ino Toru why don't you try to have a mock IELTS exam. Let's see if you can answer properly all the questions even if you have memorize all the answers. Your brain is truly infected with this so called crab mentality.
Lucky to watch this video as my preparations for my IELTS exams next month,I’m so much inspired by ms.tala and this video helps me to boost my confidence Thank you and keep uploading a kind of video like this
I tried these mock tests. It pisses me off that this test might be the one the drops my scores significantly compared to listening, reading and writing, which I think I can get at least band 7 (6 with writing). While I can speak the language with fluency, the way the questions and discussion segments are structured causes me to have these mental blocks that prevents me from speaking continuously. It's really frustrating!
Overall, she convey her thoughts clearly and confident enough. However, her pronounciation got a native accent of her language. Still, this is a good material to use as a study case in order for me and to others who wants to study english furtherly.
I felt pressured after watching this video... I think i have to see more vidoes like this to get some more confidence speaking this foreign language. Congratz ate!.. i feel proud and inspired watching ur interview😉😊
When everyone make fun of peoples broken english they don't know how difficult it is to study a 2nd language and be as fluent as an English native. Nowadays parents literally make their children grow up using English as their first language instead of our own native language which is sad.

Hello. I am a Philippine registered nurse and currently working as an English teacher. I would like to ask commenters here if you guys want to study with me online. I can teach basic English skills before you can have your English exams. Pls reply for more details.
The last time i checked you boil meat in soy sauce and vinegar when cooking adobo.boiling it in oil believe is called "deep frying". or if boiling is even the right term.
In IELTS, there's what we call white lies. They won't care how adobo is cooked, what they care about is how you're able to deliver your answer in English.
sometimes my mom fry the pork first before boiling in soy sauce so i think it really depends on how you cook your adobo other people have different ways of cooking. I was actually surprised that some people add gata or coconut milk to their adobo
It is obvious that this test is not an impromptu but a prepared one. An impromptu interview where the person being interviewed doesn't sound like a robot but this one is.
What are differences between band8.5 and 9
Please have a look at the whole video - it is clearly explained.
It is already explained in the last part of the video sir

If you did, you would get even lower scores, deliberately. The IELTS examiners are like doctors. They cover for each other.

Adrian's perfect examiner

Lucky to watch this video as my preparations for my IELTS exams next month,I’m so much inspired by ms.tala and this video helps me to boost my confidence
Thank you and keep uploading a kind of video like this
I tried these mock tests.
The IELTS exam is not just an English proficiency exam. It is a communication exam. Learn how to answer the questions well at www.aehelp.com

hi kaps!
Overall, she convey her thoughts clearly and confident enough. However, her pronounciation got a native accent of her language. Still, this is a good material to use as a study case in order for me and to others who wants to study english furtherly.
Pronunciation is subjective so it doesn't matter much. What's important is the coherence and completeness of answers. www.aehelp.com
Study English further, not furtherly.

The noun equipment does not have a plural form. It is used in the singular only, with a singular verb, and there is no word "equipments."
When everyone make fun of peoples broken english they don't know how difficult it is to study a 2nd language and be as fluent as an English native. Nowadays parents literally make their children grow up using English as their first language instead of our own native language which is sad.

The last time i checked you boil meat in soy sauce and vinegar when cooking adobo.boiling it in oil believe is called "deep frying". or if boiling is even the right term.
There are various ways of cooking Adobo.
