I think super Troopers had a very strong early scene like this movie. The big difference is that Up in Smoke still had so many iconic scenes and lines after the opening scene.

If it is purely acting then society is to blame and Hollywood for not giving these guys wayy more roles then they already put out, each one of their films is just amazing, for me I don’t care awhole lot about special effects or over the top action, I love to see down to earth films that with very little effort can produce such a timeless masterpiece. Shits all subjective to me this is as great of a film as an Oscar winning film (which we all know half the winners could’ve been beat by others but the Oscars are just a joke anymore). I can watch this periodically and it’ll always be as great as the first, especially once I smoke (duh lol) and haven’t seen it in a while.
