You made a good move. I love it here! We've never been victimized by ANY crime, the cost of living is low, the medical care is wonderful, and the people are welcoming. We were able to rent a beautiful home, in a very nice neighborhood for 1/4 of what we paid in the states! All our food comes from local meat markets and Farmer's Markets! VIVA MEXICO!

I am Mexican and I am a telecom engineer, I was living in USA legally, and I´ve been almos all over US, also the opportunnyty to travel to Asia and Europe, love Italy. But In Mexico you really feel like home no matter if you are foreinger, everyone is welcome in Mexico, here we are very friendly

It always cracks me up to hear all of the fears some people from the states have about "safety" in Mexico. I'm originally from Houston and lived in LA for years. There are places in both of those cities that are WAY more dangerous than most of Mexico. The media and the government have done a great job of selling the fear. I've been living near Puerto Vallarta for over 5 and a half years and I've never felt unsafe. That includes driving through the states of Sonora, Sinaloa and Nayarit multiple times while moving my stuff down here. But I kinda hope people keep believing it so they don't all move here...lol

We did the same thing 6 years ago....all of my siblings (9) said I was lying... My Mom was the only one that believed us... She said you always do what you say you are going to do... She's gone now but she knew we were safe and doing well. My husband is Mexican born here.. I lived in Colorado..all my life.... I'm a permanent resident for a few years now... The food in Mexico is such a big difference. when i'm in Mexico i feel a lot healthier and i know it's the Food. The varieties of the fruits and vegetables are amazing, even the meat. I went to a ranch and we had grilled steak and chicken and man! there's just no comparison. i'm planning on moving there because i experience that i always feel better health wise. i love fruit and i love vegetables, i'm in heaven when i'm there . my wife and i are seriously looking into it. thank you for posting this video, it helps.

I am retired and I have not been to Mexico since 1980 when I was 20 years old. Then this year in 2024 in the winter I went to Guadalajara, and it has grown so much since back then. I love it and they have beautiful homes there and the greenery is so nice. In the summer I flew to Puerto Vallarta and loved it so much. I loved the homes and condos there, especially the rooftop decks with infinity pools looking over the bay. I loved Puerto Vallarta. I am retired from an Auto and Home Insurance Co. after 22 years in Orange County, California. Now I just want to move there may be permanently or have a vacation property. My neighbor just got back from a Mexican cruise, and he was telling me I should check out the City of Mazatlan. He loved it. My next city to visit.

I agree with you the food is amazing in Mexico... when I go for a few months at a time I always drop weight because I walk so much more and the food is fresh! We are Houston Texas born n raised, we sold our home and moved to Morelia, Michoacán Feb 2, 2024, we also brought our 2 schnauzers, we drove to Morelia. Although I do miss living in the states, Mexico is very different and can be challenging but none the less still adjusting and learning a different culture. We’ve traveled throughout Mexico. @@YolandaOnPoint hello! We visited Morelia several times and when it came time to decide, we chose Morelia, we felt it was a good fit for our family. But I would now recommend lived at least 1/2 yr in a location to see if it is suitable for your family.
I really enjoyed your broadcast. Although our situation is different being retired and from Northern California (Napa Valley) and choosing Bucerias instead of PV our experience has echoed yours. I too have lost many pounds and find the food here to be a huge difference but not as much as the people. Not that where we came from had awful people, it's just that the people here are SO welcoming. We too try to do as much as we can to help support local businesses and craftsmen. We brought our two French Bulldogs down and have never had anybody question their paperwork etc. We also use the Vet at Petco near Costco as we have had such great success using Dr. Karen there. She has truly been like family too us when it comes to helping provide healthcare to our sidekicks. We wish you the very best and if you ever want to come to Bucerias would love to meet you!

Just had my gallbladder removed in Mexico. I've been a few times to different places. Love Mexico. Puerto Vallarta was my first trip. Love it. I'll definitely be back.
I am 55 and disabled with a 3rd level spinal fusion so I am on SSD. I and thinking about moving also I found a great apartment on a ranch in Mexicali. I love the food, people, quality of products. I research everything.. TH-cam has been great .
@@michaelsix9684 Just don't move to PV , weather is horrible where. Same as Huston, heat with high humidity and torrential rains almost every day in July . I had a shock, but soon happily escaped to high sierra. I could handle PV only 10 days. Never again.

I have lived in Mexico for many years. I don’t drink the tap water but I do bathe, use it to brush my teeth, wash my face etc. I think that even if I drank the water I would be fine but I play it safe and use purified water.
You can tell this was such a great move for y’all!! It seems like an awesome idea to live somewhere you love and be able to make that works with jobs too. My question is, how do you keep from getting the horrid tummy trouble?? I got it so bad when we visited there that we haven’t been back to Mexico again. It felt like the monster from the alien movie was trying to claw out of my stomach every day. It was kind of funny because I got it on day 2 of the vaca and toughed it out with the help of the house Abuelita. The rest of the group got it as they returned to the US and every one of them felt like they were going to die and had to go to the ER for help.
I was born and raised in Mexico till I was 13 (31 now). I want to go back but the only thing stopping me is finding an employer that will offer me a remote position. I have dual citizenship with the US, so I can live and work in either country, I just need a consistent source of income (even though I already have some savings). I know how my quality of life would improve if I make the move.

I'm Hispanic and don't speak a lick of spanish. I never wanted to go to Mexico, have never been there and can say that from a lifetime of hearing nothing but bad things about Mexico, I would have been freaked out if either of my boys said they were moving to mexico. I have been watching videos for a year now about moving to Mexico. Now I really want to buy a place in Mexico and Abnb it till I could retire. It's my new dream! I would still be a little scared of certain parts of mexico, but I would still do it.

I'm interested in non-nomad style living. No airbnb rentals, living and working in Mexico. So that people who maybe have trade jobs and are making a pretty good living in the U.S. but would like to move to Mexico can see what their opportunities might look like. If even there are some. I'm thinking electricians, secretaries, sanitary workers, plumbers, city workers etc. what would living and working in Mexico look like for them? I'll call Bull on shopping only at small local businesses. The large supermarkets, they're owned by Mexicans and employ Mexicans so shopping at large supermarkets and even Costco which is partly Mexican owned employs Mexican citizens thus supports the Mexican economy.

You just did,...it's chemical farming USDA approved.
Mexico uses a lot more pesticides than USA and hormones in the meat. Much less regulation on food sources.

Have you ever had any trouble with any illnesses drinking the local water or shaving, bathing, and brushing your teeth with the local water? What do we need to know about that? I appreciate you both and thank you ahead of time.
I have lived in Mexico for many years. I don’t drink the tap water but I do bathe, use it to brush my teeth, wash my face etc. I think that even if I drank the water I would be fine but I play it safe and use purified water.
You can tell this was such a great move for y’all!! It seems like an awesome idea to live somewhere you love and be able to make that works with jobs too. My question is, how do you keep from getting the horrid tummy trouble?? I got it so bad when we visited there that we haven’t been back to Mexico again. It felt like the monster from the alien movie was trying to claw out of my stomach every day. It was kind of funny because I got it on day 2 of the vaca and toughed it out with the help of the house Abuelita. The rest of the group got it as they returned to the US and every one of them felt like they were going to die and had to go to the ER for help.
What were you eating? I have only had bad luck with seafood and usually friends of mine have been sick from eating at all inclusives.

I was born and raised in Mexico till I was 13 (31 now). I want to go back but the only thing stopping me is finding an employer that will offer me a remote position. I have dual citizenship with the US, so I can live and work in either country, I just need a consistent source of income (even though I already have some savings). I know how my quality of life would improve if I make the move.

I'm Hispanic and don't speak a lick of spanish. I never wanted to go to Mexico, have never been there and can say that from a lifetime of hearing nothing but bad things about Mexico, I would have been freaked out if either of my boys said they were moving to mexico. I have been watching videos for a year now about moving to Mexico. Now I really want to buy a place in Mexico and Abnb it till I could retire. It's my new dream! I would still be a little scared of certain parts of mexico, but I would still do it.

What are the jobs for locals? Would you consider interviewing people without college degrees, who aren't working from home, working physical jobs in Mexico that don't make USD? I'm interested in non-nomad style living. No airbnb rentals, living and working in Mexico. So that people who maybe have trade jobs and are making a pretty good living in the U.S. but would like to move to Mexico can see what their opportunities might look like. If even there are some. I'm thinking electricians, secretaries, sanitary workers, plumbers, city workers etc. what would living and working in Mexico look like for them?
I've searched a lot online and I only find expats who work remotely or are retired, 3:13 moving and successfully living in Mexico.
What kind of work do you do?
@ I WFH as an event planner, most days are planning at home and then very few days are out meeting vendors and then the day of event lol

We've heard there is a water issue in Mexico. Is that true? Can you drink it? I saw a video where a young woman stated she couldn't even bathe in the water.
I don’t speak for all of mexico but everywhere I’ve been too I’ve had access to drinking water and bathe regularly.

I'll call Bull on shopping only at small local businesses.
The large supermarkets, they're owned by Mexicans and employ Mexicans so shopping at large supermarkets and even Costco which is partly Mexican owned employs Mexican citizens thus supports the Mexican economy.
I think they said they shop at both. It’s good to support the mom and pop shops too right?
