Not many know this but the original artist of this song is Frankie Valli. He recorded it in 1977. Euclid Beach Band recorded it two year later. Written and produced by Eric Carmen and he played piano here. But the common notion that Eric Carmen also sang here is not true. The lead vocalist here is the band's own lead singer Peter Hewlett
Would really love to hear Eric's version. I remember being on his site, and a girl told me she had his version. She told me that the guy who ran the site gave her a copy of the demo Eric did of it. Eric wasn't happy with his demo, and that's the reason it was never released. The girl who had the demo wasn't allowed to share it with anyone. The man who ran the site told me that he was gonna put the demo on Eric's site, then he suddenly changed his mind. He didn't like me, probably because I like to voice my honest opinion on stuff rather than brush it under the carpet just to please someone.
