Hey Chris... Thanks to your inspirational channel I bought my Son his dream car today at Copart... there is work to be done which we will do together, also picked up a project car for myself... loving your work Sir.
I used to work for an advanced composites company here in the UK. If that was me designing it, I would start off with a 3D modelling system, either optical or CMM to transfer surfaces of original vehicle panels over to a cad system. The desired width would then be drawn and extruded, and a two part mould of each part would be sent to the 3 axis router to be machined out of a rigid resin material. The edges would be much more crisp than is evident in this product, and assuming the panel lines of the car left the factory within spec, the fit between the parts would be bang on too. Unless they were using a thin layer female mould for all the parts, I can't see how they can get so much distortion. From what I could see, It did seem to have pretty well finished edges, which is a great deal better than a lot of the cheaper glass fibre panels available My OCD was triggered massively looking at this video, especially where the front kit meets the bit near the door!
I know, the house looked fairly decent from the minor clip we saw. I was responding to Paper Chaser regarding his "probably a piece of shit house" comment haha. I agree with your point, closer he is to his shop, the easier it is to work on vehicles and free up time from travel.
Personally any kit that requires me to cut my car I would not buy. You did an amazing job dude, very impressed with your skills. Keep up the awesome work!
On the rear kit you should try swapping the portions that go on the bumper from the passenger side to the driver side since they exhibited the opposite issues. Maybe they will fit better
Chris, can you get them to bring it back in a future episode after its all painted. Every wide body TH-cam channel always stops after its on and we rarely get to see one painted.
Hey Chris love the work and glad you got a new shop. I drive by the old shop pretty much everyday when I go to work. People in that area would probably love to rent out that house. I know what projects/cars are up coming to the channel great choices can’t wait for what you have planned for them and I think it’s gonna bring a lot of new subscribers to the channel and the Aston and Fj look sexy in person. keep up the grind and work
3M sells a box of that trim Stereo bumpers use it keep their trunks from rattling it comes in different thicknesses and widths it door weather stripping for your home some even come in low mask for temp installs
Yo Chris it won't help me but you should do a competition for your viewers and the winner get something done to their car and you do it or help them out like these widekits or really anything even just repairing and sourcing cheap parts for them to buy and fit etc for their own vehicle
I hope the paint shop is going to sand the cut´s and applies some paint there aswell, but you should have done that right away, just some primer to protect the bare metal. That shit starts to rust like crazy when it gets wet!
If you leave all the keys in the shop you should get a safe to store them. Especially after you said that you will do it on the internet :D I still remember the situation with the stolen wheels and that was no fun.
I've been watching your channel for a little over a year. First off, I am not complaining by any means. It seems you only do sedans and coupes. One time you did the FJ, and that was pretty cool, because not only you had to rebuild it, but you modified it to your liking. And because it's an FJ. Do you have plans to do SUVs and trucks in the future? Or will you stick to sports cars? I am curious whether sports cars sell better for you, or you just like to work them in general. I have an FJ myself that I bought on Copart, and I also rebuild cars as a hobby and second income. Also, I am wanting to get a BMW E30 325 series since it's 6 cyl, and has more power than the 4 cyl 318 series. I like that E30 is an older model and doesn't have nearly as much electronics packed into it as the newer BMWs are. I think E30s are cool as hell and still look sexy for 30 year old boxy sport legend. What are your thoughts as far as owning one? Chris, you seem upbeat after buying your shop. You got this. You are an inspiration to many of us.
I think you did right by having the keys in a different location that way if someone brakes in they can’t steel it and please tell me the new build is a rx7
You’re thinking too high of the stance/widebody community, I have seen so many widebody Subaru’s some even with this exact kit rocking it with massive gaps and flaws, they simply do not care like you do! Haha
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that companies send you extra material on the panel. so that you can sand it and get the fitment exactly right. Honest question, Am I wrong?
Always stoked when you post a video! My channel and work is beans compared to yours! Hope to see you on the streets sometime since I'm just outside Portland :)
@b is for build, please tell him to have the whole car blended and paint matched. take it from a hyperblue owner, it can't be spot painted. I've tried many of times.
"From now on, keys for cars in the shop will just stay in the shop." How to invite your shit to be stolen 101. Don't want this to turn out like your wheels did!

alfa scozia what kind of car?
I love this comment
2009 Civic Type R GT, bought myself an Alfa Giulietta as Alfa's are my thing.
Must be nice being able to buy all those things
Narzick will you be making a video log of the build of the type r?
Remember to doublecheck the colour before painting
Jerrypintoswe hes not painting it
far less variations of subaru hyper blue than bmw alpine white
hahahahahahahahah good one!
He's referencing the BMW Paint job he did before. It's a joke.
No shit
This kit cost $2800! You're right Chris, too much for the quality.
really?? How people pay 2800 for 4 pieces of plastic?? omg...
not plastic.
It's a piece of crap that's what it is haha
How can you pay that much for any fenders?

The roll of tape held the bumper in the right place :o)
Congrats on project get momma her money back!!!
Name and shame the shit company that dishing out dodgy kits for premium prices so that everyone gets a heads up and doesnt get stung the same as casey
MNT Rider, he said it in part 1
Zeus Caboose mtnrider he is in California
The wide body turned out great. Nice work. Im stoked to see the new build. My guess is a 240sx
wrong guess. i know the color, model and i've seen pics. body pannels are different colors and its in pretty rough shape.
NSX
nope
guess again
Now you're right
told u guys i knew
see, just move to the house next to the "shop" and it will only take you 2 minutes to get the keys that you forget at home xD
It’s probably a piece of shit house tbh
But it's HIS piece of shit house. So, it's a success in my books. Move in to the house!
MrSystane from one of the last videos, it didnt look like it was bad, it looked like it had new drywall.
I know, the house looked fairly decent from the minor clip we saw. I was responding to Paper Chaser regarding his "probably a piece of shit house" comment haha. I agree with your point, closer he is to his shop, the easier it is to work on vehicles and free up time from travel.
New build...from japan...AS LONG AS IT ISN'T ANOTHER DAMN 350Z I SWEAR TO GOD THAT'S ALL PEOPLE ARE BUYING ON TH-cam.
ok hint #2, its not a 350z :p
270z babyyyy
#adam lz
B is for Build woop! In that case the excitement is real!! 😁
Ross Siggers I say skyline
Makes me feel like your eBay rocket bunny kit for your BRZ fit better than this
Verik while costing an arm and a leg less
It is hand made. Can't really get it absolutely perfect. For the price i would expect better though
it did
it would take me months to get the balls to start cutting into a car, especially someone else's! brave asf
Keys in the shop means cars easily stolen from the shop.
Exactly what I thought when he said that!
K is for Keys
S is for Stolen!
S is for shop-safe
Safe at home, stored away from the cars that is!
I feel so bad for this car. Its truly sad. As for Chris and B is for B, awesome stuff.
Personally any kit that requires me to cut my car I would not buy. You did an amazing job dude, very impressed with your skills. Keep up the awesome work!
Nissan 240 SX is the next car - Chris said it's "2:40" am
I didn't realize my headphones were all the way up. The "HEY" in the intro scared the piss outta me
Chris you should rent out the home you just bought since your not living in it
I wouldn't have the balls to do all that cutting. Thank god for dudes like you
I saw the holes in the wing then was shocked then you started cutting up quarter panel and I cried no joke I love scoobies
B is for Butcher. Enjoyed the other builds but this one is a shocker. Better luck on the next one mate.
Don’t like that when you open the back doors you can see the wheel well cuts.
That does look like absolute shit.
Next build 240Z!
I guess he didnt read that comment i saw on the last video about molding the fender liner with a heat gun.
The whole project was probably done way before the videos went out.
I don’t think Casey minded the fitment issues, you took care of it pretty well
keeping keys in the shop is pretty dangerous. easier to steal the cars while you're home
It's sooooo rad. ”B is for Build”means ”BはビルドのB”in japan.
240am 240z is that a foreshadow I heard I hope so 240z is my absolutely my favorite car ever made
I hope it’s another copart wreck coming next, I enjoy seeing Chris figuring out how to fix it :)
This is the automotive equivalent of getting fake boobs.
Implants on a pretty girl with great natural ones, who got them while drunk in Tijuana, on a Friday after 5:00PM.
On the rear kit you should try swapping the portions that go on the bumper from the passenger side to the driver side since they exhibited the opposite issues. Maybe they will fit better
That's not a wrap because Chris hates vinyl :P
6:49 that placement actually set pretty well in this clip
Love this episode of Key is for Cars.
Can’t wait to see that painted
I hope it’s a skyline gtr or an rx7
a jdm build back in the channel WOW!!!!! im so waiting for this
Great idea to leave the keys in the shop. Just get a safe to put them in that bolts down to prevent theft.
Everything you cut and drilled is going to rust..
Would be cool to see you paint the kit and button up everything. And do a reveal video on it when the wheels are on.
"the amount of STICKAGE". HAHA thats some technical speak right there! love it man. You did a great job. You seem like you're super meticulous.
Chris the type of guy to cut your car up and then forget the keys
Good work on the car!
Horrible quality kit. Looks like you did the best you could.
B IS FOR BRING THE KEYS
Chris, can you get them to bring it back in a future episode after its all painted. Every wide body TH-cam channel always stops after its on and we rarely get to see one painted.
On the next episode of B is for Build: "So, MNT Rider Called".
Hey Chris love the work and glad you got a new shop. I drive by the old shop pretty much everyday when I go to work. People in that area would probably love to rent out that house. I know what projects/cars are up coming to the channel great choices can’t wait for what you have planned for them and I think it’s gonna bring a lot of new subscribers to the channel and the Aston and Fj look sexy in person. keep up the grind and work
240z, 260z, 280z is my guess
240sx or 240z
At the end of the video he says it's 2:40 in the morning
Nice catch, didn't even think of that. I think I recall him saying something about a datsun 240z a little while ago so that's my guess
lol or it just happened to be 2:40am
Mike Coolbaugh at the end Chris say 240 am hmmmmm🤔
B is for Build it’s deffo a 240z let’s goooo
The fender to side skirt fitment issue could be solved by using the factory bracket on the piece you took off not?
One (or both) of Tavarish's MR-2s has to be the next build.
3M sells a box of that trim Stereo bumpers use it keep their trunks from rattling it comes in different thicknesses and widths it door weather stripping for your home some even come in low mask for temp installs
I know what the build is ;) Soooo hyped for it!
if you're leaving the keys in the shop, you should invest in a keysafe, so if anyone breaks in, they can't steal the cars (unless they are pros)
Just saw you on 217 and 26 merging area!! Love the videos man. Keep up the great work.
Yo Chris it won't help me but you should do a competition for your viewers and the winner get something done to their car and you do it or help them out like these widekits or really anything even just repairing and sourcing cheap parts for them to buy and fit etc for their own vehicle

Looks great with what you were given.
Off the wall - 3000GT or 90's era 300ZX TT, either would be pretty rad.
It's gonna be a 240z. I hope...
If you leave all the keys in the shop you should get a safe to store them. Especially after you said that you will do it on the internet :D I still remember the situation with the stolen wheels and that was no fun.
Y is this channel so addictive? Lol!
I'm guessing the new build is a 200Z/240Z...
You are killing these uploads man! Love it
i was so excited to see another video. keep em coming
Guessing a Nissan....or a Datsun ;)
Kim W he has said on a previous live stream that the next car on his list was a 240z also he wants to do a factory 5 kit car
Did not know about the live stream....damnit
I'm calling an NSX (90s version)
That was my first thought! Hopefully not as knocked around as the Evora was.
TBT to your 24 beers in 24 hours stream!
Nice work Chris! it did hurt to watch a nice car get all cut up tho lol
0:22 "not like me to not finish something I previously metioned, is it?"
except for a case of coors lite or a 4pk of cucumber crush LUL
Your the man Chris! Love this channel Broski.
I'm hoping an R34 skyline. That would be sick!
Has been waiting for part 2 .
I've been watching your channel for a little over a year. First off, I am not complaining by any means. It seems you only do sedans and coupes. Chris, you seem upbeat after buying your shop. You got this. You are an inspiration to many of us.
It's gonna be a 240z or something of the type probably, one can only hope.
Are you moving into the house that comes with the shop, or is the rent enough to pay for your existing place?
I think you did right by having the keys in a different location that way if someone brakes in they can’t steel it and please tell me the new build is a rx7
Nice attention to detail!
“It’s 2:40 am” boiiii Nissan 240 lets go 😂
You’re thinking too high of the stance/widebody community, I have seen so many widebody Subaru’s some even with this exact kit rocking it with massive gaps and flaws, they simply do not care like you do! Haha
Great build and your cutting was better then to hunts haaa ,sweet
That's a nice looking Camry you've got there
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that companies send you extra material on the panel. so that you can sand it and get the fitment exactly right. Honest question, Am I wrong?
Datsun 280 or 510 would be a wicked build
Chris gets a full widebody done in what 2-3 days with sanding and it takes Calvin what 9-10 months 😂😂
Hoping its a Mazda Rx-7! Look so sweet when modded well!
XXXXX It's going to be a Datsun 240z for sure!
Well, in his previous video, Chris mentioned heavily about getting a older gen Z through auto temp
Great job Chris!
To measure the amount of stick-age...
You did a super a good job,have you looked for a V10 crate engine yet..???Greets from France.JM
Is sanding those fiberglass panels without a mask a good idea?
Always stoked when you post a video! My channel and work is beans compared to yours! Hope to see you on the streets sometime since I'm just outside Portland :)
Love your videos respect mate keep them comeing
New brz project car confirmed
You need a pro drift car build, 240sx or 350z or SC300 maybe?
If u keep the keys in the shop you should get a lock box for them and hard Mount somewhere in the shop and not on video
@b is for build, please tell him to have the whole car blended and paint matched. take it from a hyperblue owner, it can't be spot painted. I've tried many of times.
evo is the new build
That thing is gonna be undriveable on normal roads. What is he gonna run like 70mm spacers?
I'd kill for you to do an old school skyline
"From now on, keys for cars in the shop will just stay in the shop."
How to invite your shit to be stolen 101. Don't want this to turn out like your wheels did!
