Its amazing to me that your first full paint job, you chose to do white on a shysty wide body kit that you pretty much completely reshaped and remolded yourself and it turned out that good. Respect.
I would consider just replacing the rear bumper at this point. If the bumper fit well, you wouldn’t be having any issues with the fit of the trash wide body kit parts. Since you have to repaint it anyway now, maybe cut your losses on the bumper and get a new one that fits right. Either way, car looks insane!
Every time, if you want to paint something, you have to make sure that everything is fits good, and look how it should be. You don't have to be sad, you learn something every day and you grow. Mad respect to you, keep it up. 💯
On the grill, on my OZ Rally Lancer I had a issue kinda like that. I went to a shop and bought expanded metal, painted it black and left center piece white. The expanded pieces are much thicker than that mesh expanded metal that comes with the grills. It looked great.. I missed 4 videos in a row from being busy and watched them all yesterday and was so excited after work today to check this one out! Was happy you're getting the widebody kit working. Cheers to you man. You deserve it.
Not the biggest fan of Subarus but you really made this car look good, the carbon and white look so good together. Can’t wait to see where this build goes!
Look how far you have come Devin, it’s looking absolutely gorgeous! If I where you tho I would chase a better rear bumper and go over it again because the bumper your working on now and how it sits is un driven, you’ll have to give the bumper time to settle in its spot
OG's will know Devin cooks up a gallon of CERAKOTE for this build ... 3-4 years on this channel now the kide is allways fire NGL One more great job dev
Absolutely loving this project you are hitting it full on and taking all the right steps to make it look perfect you aren't half assing it like most people I've seen bur keep up the great work brotha and it looks awesome so far !! Can't wait for more content
Devin, I watch the video before commenting, but I couldn't believe how insanely beautiful the Car is looking. You have come a long way with your body work skills. You should be proud of yourself!
Always fit and finish with any modifications like this, then paint. Solid work for a newbie. Also, those quick release bumper brackets arent helping you out in this situation, might be adding to the gap issues and half of them are hidden, defeating the purpose of removing the widebody hardware.
Finish the widebody install, admire the effort you put in (straight 🔥), sell car, buy new STI hatch of the same model, install all the mods you bought onto said STI, buy your preferred body kit, install bodykit. Admire car and your work.
don’t beat yourself up too much on making every little fitment perfect. It looks awesome dude, paint came out amazing, and the car is going to look dope in the end.
Varis or Voltex are the best choice. When you put some extra effort and things aren't working, change it all. Like you do it with Red Wrap. It will be more money to spend, but full mental relaxing. Still an awesome car dude. Greetings from Argentina.
I know you always doubt yourself!! But we all knew it was going to come out awesome!!! That white is way nicer then that orange it was! It’s coming along great!!! Nice work Devin!!!!!
I know it's alot of money but the deeper you get the more it seems like a better quality kit will just make you happier in the end. I would go that route. Such a shame a poor quality kit takes away from how good you got the paint. Keep your head up man I enjoy the driving clips too. Sometimes it's good to get out of the shop and enjoy the hard work lol
A nice touch would be repainting the door pillar areas around the windows back to black, unless you are a fan of color matched. It would look nice with a wrapped roof, carbon hood, wrapped mirror caps, etc accents
Devin, vynil wrap black the white thats behind the front grill mesh, so you can see the look... and test wrap black the white grill frame first, before you paint... that way you can see the look and reverse both/one if you prefer white...
I really do applaud 99% of the work you do. And I feel horrible on saying this after you have put so much work into this Scoob,,, but the body kit don’t look good due to not being same manufacture of all kit components. But you are putting in the work. Just don’t feel the end result is gonna be what you hope for. Best of luck though.
Am I only one who noticed rear over fenders don't line up either should flow with factory body line which would move them higher getting rid of gap around petrol flap. But overall first big kit and paint looks damn clean. Keep it up Dev
Don't be so hard on yourself lad. Looks great. So you don't get it millimetre perfect who cares. Has character and paint looks great. Could always look at some sort of vinyl graphic on rear quarters to break up the visual if it really gets to you. Enjoying this build keep it up
No enough EVO X…. I’d like to see an older EVO build, a 4 or V would be something different with the EVOs, how many times can you do the same model over and over, 8s and Xs. New older EVOs were much sicker IMO.
You did such a great job with the paint in custom panel mounts trying to get that proper fitment... Maybe upgrade to higher quality kit so it turns out perfect 🤍✨
What’s the widebody kit and the hood that you have for the hatchback? I’m low-key looking to get a hatchback in the future for my next STI, with a built closed deck. Also that white paint looks so much better than the Subaru white IMO
Build looks 🔥 bro! Amazing work you’ve done considering what u started with! I agree should definitely at least go black on that front grill to help break up all that white u got going on.🤙
Paint or wrap that center support in the middle of the grill black besides that the front end looks good with the carbon hood and vents. Black attachments on the bumper as well. Considering the quality of the kit you made magic on fitment
Does it have a peace for wide body on the sideskirt ? The transition look weird depending on the angle.. Maybe its just a camera effect or something .. Overral, nice paint/build :)
Are those front bumper wide body pieces backwards ? Left side go on the right and right side go on the left ? Feel like the carbon air ducts should be going the other way ?
My favorite channel by far bro.. Keep killing it. Great job done stress. As far as the body kit.. I would trash ♻️ it.. Get a new version you already put in the crazy effort bro. Paint looks sick put some black on the front & roof.. But def buy a better kit. The front fenders look really off with that weird gap. Over all 9.8 on paint just need to do it right with the kit
Yeah that front definitely needs to fit the body line it's so far off I can't stop looking at it lol... But dev is the man 👨 bros he dosn't half-ass it! He will definitely change the kit! Let's do it right. Car could be a beast
Not as thrilled as I thought id be on the fitment either and those front fender extensions on the bumper bug me since the lines don’t line up. Paint looks insanely good though

I’m so invested in this STI hatch build and I don’t know what to do with myself but just wait for the videos to drop! Much love to Devin. ❤️
Not the biggest fan of Subarus but you really made this car look good, the carbon and white look so good together. Can’t wait to see where this build goes!
While other TH-camrs give their car away to be done. Devin does it himself #respect

Happy Belated Birthday Bobby 🎊🎊🎉🎉

Just remember what that car was when you started!! You have done amazing!! And you can always buy another hatch in the future
don’t beat yourself up too much on making every little fitment perfect. It looks awesome dude, paint came out amazing, and the car is going to look dope in the end.
The build looks so good can't wait
Honestly just buy the full kit and sell that old one. This car could look amazing
Bobbie,” you look handsome”
Devin,”I do.... You do too”
Hahaha you guys make me laugh so much
You know I like the way the hardware looks on wide body’s but I can appreciate the hidden hardware look, nice work bro

Amazing job you can do it all. And making that kit fit on the rear is looking so good. Keep up the good work !!!
Easy for me to say because I wont have to do it.... but that hood would look sick painted but keeping the scoop carbon.
I know it's alot of money but the deeper you get the more it seems like a better quality kit will just make you happier in the end. I would go that route. you are getting there.. definitely 1000000x better than before!
What a nice best buddy getting Bobbie some candles. Cars looking sweet but feel your pain on the cracked bumper after all that work.

Hardwork pays off. Fire STI hatch.
Car looks great. Amazing paint!
Sti hatch looks so good!!!
amazing bro imagine the previous owner seeing it in its glory great job bro

You need to grab some OEM massive C headlights for it, that will really tie all the white together🙏🏻🔥 keep killing it
Why am I not surprised Devin turned shit into gold as usual? Great work love your channel and videos!
The Subaru look so good and the m3 sound so good
16:30 you need to move the quick release up a little cause it ain’t flush like the other side (towards the light more)
Amazing work Devin......I think you should paint the hood and leave some carbon accents
Am I only one who noticed rear over fenders don't line up either should flow with factory body line which would move them higher getting rid of gap around petrol flap. But overall first big kit and paint looks damn clean. Keep it up Dev

The hatch looks so so so damn good
I hope you get the right wheels for this build 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Try to use double side tape on the widebody fender 👌🏼
Looks so good Devin!!!!! Hopefully I get an evo 10 build in the next year just waiting for the right one

I would rock that car.... SICK WHIP
hey devin might be worth PPF-ing the rear widebody flares. having the front wheels stick out is gonna kick a lot of shit up onto those flares
Starting to look soooo gooood.
looks good! yeah paint the grill surround black!!!
That bmw is INSANE
New kit after it's all done.
The awesome paint job makes the headlights standout, in a bad way. I predict some headlight buffing in the future.
Jewel eyes retrofit. It would be awesome.
Hell yesssss, been waiting for this

Sehr gut Devin ✌️✌️
Why didn't you just weld on longer threaded pieces for the bolts that were too short? Great work bTW!
Build looks 🔥 bro! Amazing work you’ve done considering what u started with! I agree should definitely at least go black on that front grill to help break up all that white u got going on.🤙
I think for another nice little challenge for you mr Devin , is to do the grill carbon yourself 😃 be a nice thing to learn and I know you’d kill it
Was looking for ur vid n finally u uploaded it
Paint or wrap that center support in the middle of the grill black besides that the front end looks good with the carbon hood and vents. Black attachments on the bumper as well. Considering the quality of the kit you made magic on fitment
Yesssss
Leave the roof white looks so sick and will help with heat in the car on hot days, also just the hood in carbon would look amazing a true accent piece
a Vasyn Badge will look good on the grill man.
Happy Belated Birthday Bobbi! We Libras Rulez! My birthday was.Oct 1rth! Devin, powder oat fhe rims electric Blue,....that'll be hot!!
devin got them hammerhead thumbs
Car looks amazing.
If interested I have a rear oem bumper.

black grille is the way!
Jesus that Frankenstein kit is starting to stress ME out....hopefully you can get it to work the way you want it!
WOW , THATS ONE JENKY SCHITT WAGON, REALLY SLAMS THE OUTHOUSE DOOR.
hell yessss
Why does it seem the front wide body vents are backwards
i feel yah man. its not easy to fix such issues and gets frustrated fast by it
Carbon dip the front grill will look nice
You are a very patient man. I would have chunked the whole thing by now. :)
Order the kit! Get it done
Should the carbon vents go the other way to where the air goes to the wheel
Does it have a peace for wide body on the sideskirt ? The transition look weird depending on the angle.. Maybe its just a camera effect or something .. Overral, nice paint/build :)
Like i said in your other video put the widebody trim on itll give the car contrast with the black outline
Paint the grill black and the mesh white
Are those front bumper wide body pieces backwards ? Left side go on the right and right side go on the left ? Feel like the carbon air ducts should be going the other way ?
