    I love how free and spontaneous you are when you start the paintings which leads to beautiful compositions

    I just got my first set of gouache and was starting to regret only getting a set of primary colors, but the range of colors you mix is so beautiful! I hope I can achieve the same with enough practice

      Yes! It is AMAZING what you can do working with only primaries... and I personally think it will make your technique better!

    I really love your paintings. I’m curious on why you don’t paint the background first? Very inspiring. 🙏🏼 thank you

    Wow I loved the way you started out using primaries only then your application of colour, tones and values. I enjoyed the way you brought the whole painting together especially towards the end. I’m looking forward to giving it a go thank you for sharing your process.

    Curious to know why you start painting the background after staring on the subject? Thanks!

    Oh! How I love this!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!! I love your use of colors in your work and seeing how you mix and can do this with just the primary colors is just inspiring! Again, I’m just learning, so this was amazing to see and watch!

    Just amazing!! I hate mixing colors 🙈 but you make it look so easy. I’m going on an 8 day painting workshop in Tuscany in October... I don’t have room to pack ALL my colors. So, maybe I take the primaries and a few faves and PRACTICE now. 2 questions please. How long was the actual time and what was your main brush? I could not tell if it was round or filbert 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just curious. Thank you 😊❤️

      Thank you so much! Your painting workshop sounds like a dream!! That's a great idea-exactly what I would do. :) The actual time of this video was about 2 hours. My main brush is a round no. 10 brush! Thank you so much for watching and best of luck!

    I loved watching this develop. U r so confident with your colours. Did you use retarder to slow drying time as your paints never seem to dry out on your palette? Thank you so much for sharing your ideas

    • @CBrookeRing
      @CBrookeRing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much! and great question!! When I can, I like to work from real bouquets, if not I usually piece together my own bouquet in my head from different photos!

    I like it. I just thought you needed more dark, like in the right hand corner, to make the light colors pop.

    Great video, thanks for sharing! Love seeing how you mix all the different values of green and yellow! Curious... did you decide at the last minute to change the background to the lighter color or was that planned? It’s beautiful! 😉

    • @CBrookeRing
      @CBrookeRing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good Question!! I knew I wanted it to be some shade of grey, but decided to make it lighter so that the bouquet popped a bit more!
