Dear Doris, what a pleasure reading such a message today and what a nice Saturday evening's ending as well knowing about what you wrote. I genuinely feel touched and very moved by this, as I couldn't even imagine this little hobby and this little channel could have such an impact. I rememeber I discovered Casperia almost "by chance" while reading about that area before planning my upcoming walks (the journey to reach those remote villagtes is something of a journey by itself!) and I was very glad to visit it (it was the first time for me as well). I have very vivid memory of that sunny evening even 'till today. I sincerely hope you'll enjoy it and also the countryside while here and sending you a very big heartfels hug from my little town a few kms south of Rome. calm and peaceful atmosphere, I hardly miss your video. your picturization is unique. As I wandered through the streets, I couldn't help but notice the many friendly cats that seemed to be everywhere. They lounged in the sun, chased each other playfully, and generally added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the town. As I ventured beyond the town limits, I was struck by the abundance of lush greenery. The outskirts of the town were surrounded by rolling hills and fields, each one more picturesque than the last. The peaceful countryside provided a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. All in all, this walking tour was a truly lovely way to spend a weekend. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to explore such a wonderful place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. OMG how did I miss this one??? So much to appreciate here. The insane views in between buildings (I LOVE this about hill towns), the countless cats, the flowers/plants everywhere... having discovered the umbrian countryside last year, this is very similar, and oh-so-great! I swear, when the walking tour began and you were greeted by that big orange cat, it’s like he was saying « oh you’re here! Come on bro, right this way! » And my cat, Spritz (yeah... I love Italy) looks just like the one at 11:50! He’d fit right in! Thanks for your work Ric!

Love this village, it has alot of character, so have the houses. Just following your walk seems so peaceful and quiet. With the location high up, the views are beautiful. (Not so sure about the many steps though🤔) I'm sure you deserved the break at the end of your walk. @@StillWanderer да интересный и красивый старинный городок, расположенный в живописном месте с великолепными видами, но не для тех у кого есть клаустрофобия, хотя я могу и ошибаться по поводу клаустрофобии. Мне кажется, что если иметь квартиру в таком городке, то надо иметь работу за компьютором с хорошим интернетом для того чтобы не ездить каждый день в офис или небольшой учаток земли рядом с таким городком на котором что-то выращивать, а иначе я не представляю как в таком городке можно зарабатывать на жизнь (и да я слышал, что в Европе всё очень дорого). @@user-iu9bz6pv7t Действительно, Пафнутий, я думаю, что большинство людей, живущих там, пенсионеры... но я видел и несколько молодых пар... если вы посмотрите ближе к концу, на балконе был молодой парень. Но, возможно, это был их второй дом там, дача. Если бы я мог выжить, живя с интернетом и дома, я бы определенно жил там. Большая парковка прямо под стеной, все доступно, перед входом был небольшой минимаркет. Бары, рестораны для тех дней... Я мечтаю прожить на такие деньги, но, к сожалению, моя ситуация пока не позволяет. Можно надеяться. Хорошего воскресенья, дорогой Пафнутий, и, как всегда, до скорых встреч.
@@StillWanderer я конечно могу ошибаться, но для пенсионеров наверно тяжеловато подниматься и спускаться пешком по таким крутым улицам, хотя всё познаётся в сравнении. Да я обратил внимание на того парня на балконе, который разговаривал с ребёнком, а внизу стоял детский велосипед и да для дачи это очень хороший вариант с такими прекрасными видами и с доступной инфраструктурой - минимаркеты, кафе и т.д. Моя дача с участком земли досталась мне по наследству, мои родители получили участок земли бесплатно от государства ещё в советское время, тогда многим давали бесплатные земельные участки и люди потом строили дома на этих участках, выращивали картофель, огурцы и всё то на что было желание и возможность. Раньше моя жена выращивала на нашем дачном участке для себя небольшую грядку клубники, немного кортофеля, лук, морковь, огурцы в небольшом парнике, а сейчас мы уже ничего не выращиваем для себя, потому что всё это дешевле купить в минимаркете, но остались пять яблоневых деревьев, которые раз в два года дают плоды и иногда их так много, что мы их раздаём знакомым, а которые не успеваем собрать, то закапываем в землю (три дерева летних и два осенних). Ещё есть несколько кустов красной и чёрной смородины. Сейчас мы чаще посещаем дачу в основном поздней весной, летом и ранней осенью, чтобы отдохнуть на природе, подышать свежим воздухом, пожарить мясо на углях - шашлык, ну и так поделать что-то по хозяйству. Я посмотрел по карте и увидел, что от Рима этот Касперия находится в примерно 60 километрах, это почти такое же расстояние, как от моей квартиры в городе до дачи 50 км. Моя дача находится недалеко от места, где Анна Каренина бросилась под поезд (из романа Льва Толстого). У нас в округе в основном леса, поля и озёра на плоской равнине. К сожалению, у моих родителей была маленькая дача, но они были вынуждены продать все много лет назад из-за финансовых проблем с моим отцом. Мы буквально продали все, и нам пришлось начинать с нуля; мы все еще как-то выздоравливаем... Это было довольно тяжело и до сих пор, если честно. Но я стараюсь оставаться оптимистом. У меня много воспоминаний о том времени, когда я был в России, и я помню, как ездил на дачу недалеко от Петербурга к своему другу; мы все вместе поехали, и это было такое мирное воспоминание: я помню, что это было недалеко от ладожского озера.. Прекрасные воспоминания о многолетней давности сейчас. Я надеюсь, что смогу снова купить что-то, где можно расслабиться; возможно, однажды... Спасибо, что поделились этим со мной, я чувствую себя благословенным в этом.

Tutto mi sembra aspro ad Aspra Sabina: le sue strade, I passi, la sua storia, il rintocco delle sue campane, i muri delle sue case e cosi via. Una città che si può toccare e leggere come se fosse scritta in Braille. Di tanto in tanto compaiono, come visione, piccoli frutteti risplendenti di sole. Geografía formidabile. Piazze accoglienti. Non una sola machinna tra le sue mura. Ascensore non funzionante purtroppo. Bellissime gatti, ben nutriti e di buon carattere. Meritata pausa alla fine del video. that's also true Hugo) but but.... I found out some flats there are quite CHEAP... for such a stuning town.. it could be a great idea to escape the crazyness of our daily lives. One of my dreams...

I swear, when the walking tour began and you were greeted by that big orange cat, it’s like he was saying « oh you’re here! Come on bro, right this way! » And my cat, Spritz (yeah... I love Italy) looks just like the one at 11:50! He’d fit right in!

Ah, ja, so viele Katzen in der Tat, und sie sahen tatsächlich alle SEHR gut genährt aus und so mitfühlend und bereit, vorbeizukommen, überhaupt nicht verängstigt. Ich habe nur wenige Hunde gesehen, aber vielleicht hatten sie Angst vor den fetten Katzen))
Schöne Stadt in der Tat Casperia... zum ersten Mal auch für mich dort, ich war absolut beeindruckt von ihrer Schönheit. Eine der schönsten Städte, die ich in der Nähe gesehen habe, um die Wahrheit zu sagen.

Love this village, it has alot of character, so have the houses. Just following your walk seems so peaceful and quiet. With the location high up, the views are beautiful. (Not so sure about the many steps though🤔) I'm sure you deserved the break at the end of your walk. Thanks again for sharing another not touristy part of Italy, Riccardo 🤗 Glad to see how some houses have been beautifully restored.

I was sure you'd have enjoyed Casperia dear Geraldine. Indeed, a lot of character indeed; the phrase reflects my idea too actually. Another hidden gem, one of the most charming towns I've seen lately honestly. Quite hard on the legs too as you said) The cats were quite intrigued by the "ghost" I suppose, but they were very sympathetic I reckon)

Дорогой Пафнутий, всегда рад видеть тебя снова, мой дорогой старый друг. Я впервые посетил его, и я был совершенно впечатлен и потрясен его красотой. Один из самых красивых городов недалеко от Рима, который я когда-либо видел. Город, в котором я бы точно жил, если бы мог позволить себе купить квартиру (к сожалению, не могу). Тоже прекрасное воспоминание...

@@StillWanderer да интересный и красивый старинный городок, расположенный в живописном месте с великолепными видами, но не для тех у кого есть клаустрофобия, хотя я могу и ошибаться по поводу клаустрофобии.
Мне кажется, что если иметь квартиру в таком городке, то надо иметь работу за компьютором с хорошим интернетом для того чтобы не ездить каждый день в офис или небольшой учаток земли рядом с таким городком на котором что-то выращивать, а иначе я не представляю как в таком городке можно зарабатывать на жизнь (и да я слышал, что в Европе всё очень дорого).

@@user-iu9bz6pv7t Действительно, Пафнутий, я думаю, что большинство людей, живущих там, пенсионеры... но я видел и несколько молодых пар... если вы посмотрите ближе к концу, на балконе был молодой парень. Но, возможно, это был их второй дом там, дача.
Если бы я мог выжить, живя с интернетом и дома, я бы определенно жил там. Большая парковка прямо под стеной, все доступно, перед входом был небольшой минимаркет. Бары, рестораны для тех дней... Я мечтаю прожить на такие деньги, но, к сожалению, моя ситуация пока не позволяет.

@@StillWanderer я конечно могу ошибаться, но для пенсионеров наверно тяжеловато подниматься и спускаться пешком по таким крутым улицам, хотя всё познаётся в сравнении.
Да я обратил внимание на того парня на балконе, который разговаривал с ребёнком, а внизу стоял детский велосипед и да для дачи это очень хороший вариант с такими прекрасными видами и с доступной инфраструктурой - минимаркеты, кафе и т.д.
Моя дача с участком земли досталась мне по наследству, мои родители получили участок земли бесплатно от государства ещё в советское время, тогда многим давали бесплатные земельные участки и люди потом строили дома на этих участках, выращивали картофель, огурцы и всё то на что было желание и возможность.
Раньше моя жена выращивала на нашем дачном участке для себя небольшую грядку клубники, немного кортофеля, лук, морковь, огурцы в небольшом парнике, а сейчас мы уже ничего не выращиваем для себя, потому что всё это дешевле купить в минимаркете, но остались пять яблоневых деревьев, которые раз в два года дают плоды и иногда их так много, что мы их раздаём знакомым, а которые не успеваем собрать, то закапываем в землю (три дерева летних и два осенних).
Ещё есть несколько кустов красной и чёрной смородины.
Сейчас мы чаще посещаем дачу в основном поздней весной, летом и ранней осенью, чтобы отдохнуть на природе, подышать свежим воздухом, пожарить мясо на углях - шашлык, ну и так поделать что-то по хозяйству.
Я посмотрел по карте и увидел, что от Рима этот Касперия находится в примерно 60 километрах, это почти такое же расстояние, как от моей квартиры в городе до дачи 50 км.
Моя дача находится недалеко от места, где Анна Каренина бросилась под поезд (из романа Льва Толстого).
У нас в округе в основном леса, поля и озёра на плоской равнине.
Что-то я много пишу😁

@@user-iu9bz6pv7t Дорогой Пафнутий, это действительно немного и читать это на самом деле приятно; невероятно знать, что дача находится рядом с тем местом, где Анна Каренина бросилась под поезд в романе... К сожалению, у моих родителей была маленькая дача, но они были вынуждены продать все много лет назад из-за финансовых проблем с моим отцом. Мы буквально продали все, и нам пришлось начинать с нуля; мы все еще как-то выздоравливаем... Это было довольно тяжело и до сих пор, если честно. Но я стараюсь оставаться оптимистом.
У меня много воспоминаний о том времени, когда я был в России, и я помню, как ездил на дачу недалеко от Петербурга к своему другу; мы все вместе поехали, и это было такое мирное воспоминание: я помню, что это было недалеко от ладожского озера.. Прекрасные воспоминания о многолетней давности сейчас.
Я надеюсь, что смогу снова купить что-то, где можно расслабиться; возможно, однажды...

TEMO che la passeggiata a Casperia sia stata particolarmente dura per te, Riccardo Laziale del Tirreno. Montagne russe in pietra, scivolo in pietra. Tutto mi sembra aspro ad Aspra Sabina: le sue strade, I passi, la sua storia, il rintocco delle sue campane, i muri delle sue case e cosi via. Una città che si può toccare e leggere come se fosse scritta in Braille. Di tanto in tanto compaiono, come visione, piccoli frutteti risplendenti di sole. Geografía formidabile. Piazze accoglienti. Non una sola machinna tra le sue mura. Ascensore non funzionante purtroppo. Bellissime gatti, ben nutriti e di buon carattere.

Probably yup; the thing is that all the cats were so chill... they almost didn't care about my presence at all, they just saw this tall guy lurking there and they were just a tiny bit curious, in their real cat's way:)
I'm sure i heard the occasional canine, but it seems clear that this place is run by the cats 🙂.

Maybe because this is all it can accomodate? I don't see much room for expansion.
Dear Lakwatsera, unfortunately also many flats are empty; lots of older people live in those towns and with time they are getting more and more depopulated
that's also true Hugo) but but.... I found out some flats there are quite CHEAP... for such a stuning town.. it could be a great idea to escape the crazyness of our daily lives. One of my dreams...
