Thanks alot Kevin. I greatly appreciate that knowledge. I am about to do my stage 2 at home on my 2023 lowrider st, and this is the only part that worries me... I feel very comfortable doing it now. This Star 3030 is going to make my FXLRST nasty I hope.
Kevin, after the second time that you checked for tdc on the compression stroke by inserting the straw in the spark plug hole, then checked to see that both tappets were as low as they could go, did you have to move the engine forward or back, was it just by feeling that both lifters had dropped down from their previous position? It seems that your video skipped that and immediately jumped to where you squirted assembly lube on top of the tappets.
Kevin, I have a 2019 CVO StreetGlide with the 131 crate motor. The only issue I have is when the motor is cold or under around 2,300 rpm’s it sounds like a HUGE sewing machine. It’s a ticking noise. The noise is between the cam and heads. It’s worse when it’s been sitting for a few days. Almost like the lifters are bleeding down. I’ve ordered and received the tappet fit kit but haven’t had a chance to use it. Will the new Jims tappet’s fix my issue? Can I reuse the factory pushrods or is that part of the noise? Is there a benefit for using the adjustable ones?
I will be interested in Kevin's reply as well. I have 2020 114 SE stage 2 Torque Cam that makes the same noise. Mine is better on start up, but summer time running has this reciprocal noise. I had a SE push rod failure 3 times. Once while I was riding and twice when the dealer was attempting the repair. My opinion of the SE adjustable push rods is not enough surface area on the jam nut to hold? The dealers answer was to put the stock solid push rods back in. That's a lot of labor on the dealers dime, but they stood behind it. Since then I put S&S Roller Rockers in, hoping to make the noise go away. Ah maybe? I did it in the fall and it's been cold, so who knows? I have the latest oil pump with crank/head breathers as well. I don't think it is a stumping issue. Doesn't act like that. So lets see! I was going to go to Fueling Lifters and their solid lifters, but Kevin may make us all believers? Thanks Dave
You make that look so easy. 🎩-Tip to the skills you’ve learned and share with the channel. 👍🏼

Tks, Kevin, keep=em coming.
Thanks Kevin good show, good stuff
Great video . Thanks a lot !
Is it normal for the top o-rings to leak? An all you have to do is re adjust the o-rings for it to seal?
Will these work on my Buell blast 500?
Great video as usual
Very nice 👌
If I wanted a none adjustable push rod like OEM what size push rod would I need ?

Might want to check your oil pressure regulating spring I've seen them stuck and they're not made to specs from Kevin Blaine
What do you charge to do a cam swap and tune ?
