When this came out I was so taken with it. I was maybe 10 or 11? It was before the E-Maxx and it was the PEAK of electric monster trucks! How cool to see a kit unbuilt to this day!
This is exactly why you had to be the one to build it. Also the reason I never put pressure on you about the timeline. I absolutely knew you were going to love the build. I have built that chassis before so for me it was a repeat. For you, something new and exciting. I hope you enjoy the body process just as much. And no pressure on that either. Use what you want. Your call. Just have fun with it buddy.
Thanks Keith, I absolutely loved this build and with all those Gold Hop Ups wow 😍😍😍
Had 2 of those ,always wish I kept 1
You got me man. My father built me The Grasshopper in 1989 when i was 4 years old. He always wanted a car that was electric as a kid but never got one, and as i quote him "I could not wait anylonger" And he bought me The Grasshopper. I bought my daughter(Or perhaps me) a Rising Fighter this summer and she is not even 3 years old....Anyway, after getting that kit, building it and digging out my old rc stash i found you on youtube and now im completely hooked again.. Really enjoying it. Now i have bought the kits i really wanted as a kid, and its so much fun. Thank you, and Greetings from Norway
Every build you do is the “ best ever” lately lol I think you are well and truly back in love with Tamiya again.
Awesome build, but you need to change the gold side bars so the holes are running in the same directions. Some are slanting right, and some are slanting left. You need it so they’re either all slanting the same way or all slanting inwards. Hard to explain, so hopefully you get what I mean.
Im so happy to be seeing this build. And the reason why it was one of my favorite when i was younger and i seen the first video and was so looking forward to see all of the hop-ups that Keith sourced and to see it at its best that Me and i know Keith knows that u can do to it. And with ur paint scheme. WOW! ive been looking forward to this build. And i hope what i said in comment a while back didnt have u thinking ill of me. It wasnt meant to sound fowl. And thank u Glen for this video👍
Back in the early 90's I got a RC buggy kit, built it and was playing and my dad who has been in RC for years decided to join, he built a Tamiya Clodbuster.... we lived on a farm and what fun! We built a lot of Tamiya stuff over the years, even raced some on road touring kits when that was in. Then flew RC aircraft. RC stuff with friends and family is a great way to learn mechanical stuff.
I had this as a child, I remember wanting to upgrade to a custom tube chassis I saw on the internet for it but back then ordering to the UK from USA wasn’t something I could do. 😂
Soo good to c u having fun doing a build🎉
a lot parts it is assembled and becomes a monster truck.👍That's Tamiya's logo be happy with Tamiya kit
ooohh yeeaaahhhhh mmaaannnnn !!! i was in love xith that thing back in the time but didn't have the money at the time :)
Glenn, you make these build videos so enjoyable to watch. What an amazing kit to build, and brilliant to see an old MSC! Great job! 👍
Oh my what a beautiful kit. Keith will love the finished build and by a master is just ever bit better. Thank you my friend for sharing this cool kit build. ❤
NOSTALGIA over load!… ohh man I haven’t seen those tamiyas since the time around 1988!
Wow, now i really have to find one for me
Been waiting for this since the day you unwrapped it. Looking forward to this 😂
This bring back memories! I used to have a Clod Buster when I was about 10, 32 years ago!! I remember learning that a separate RX battery was needed!
Juggernauts always hold a special place in my heart because when I joined the hobby back in 2000, the Juggernaut 2 was the state-of-the-art for electric monster trucks.
cool build
Nice build of a nice kit! Cheers!
What a awesome kit and build. Nice job Glenn.
With the Mabuchi stickers on the bottom, people can look up and see them when Keith runs them over!
My favourite will be the supersabre can't wait...
The best truck ever.
Great build 👏
Wow- cool build!
What an awesome thing! Would love to have one alomgside a Clodbuster. Looks epic
Glenn, I am so happy to see you build a Juggernaut. Keith wanted you to experience the pure joy of building one of these bad boys. I love this kit so much that I bought the only one kit in Larry Zabotany auction he had. The cost was astronomical but I don't regret it for a second! Such an epic kit ESPECIALLY with all the gold bling to go with it.
Looks amazing so far Glen. Cannot wait to see the finale.
What a truck and what a great build!! Can’t wait to see what you do with the bodies, especially the Glenn special! 👍👍
Awesome to enjoy the build vicariously through you. Almost bought one of them when they came out, but I had zero experience with hobby grade kits at the time so I passed. Certainly kicking myself now lol.
I wish tamiya would release these again i would buy one this is a beast lol
Nice Find!
I always wanted to see one of these up close, thanks for sharing.👍🏻
You did a great job with that build Glenn. I’m sure Keith will be very happy with the finished project.
Coffee and a Juggernaut build. Wonderful start to my day.
Awesome looking chassis can't wait to see the body shell's great job Glenn and thanks to Rc icon's for letting you do a build vid of it 👍
WOW!!
Great build 🤩
Wow, what an awesome chassis, absolutely amazing!!!
Awesome kit!
What a great and interesting build. A beast of a chassis. I really hope Tamiya will re-release this kit. I would certainly like to add this to my collection.
Awesome truck and build! Looking forward to the follow up videos 👍🏻
Looking forward to see the next steps in it, I have a clod buster to related to it looks like a really fun build
bin look forward to it since you unboxed
That thing is ginormous and looks terrific even without the body on it! Looking forward to the next 2 with the stock and the TL body on it! Great stuff!
The new mic is really good. You sound like you are on Sirius XM Radio
Great looking chassis, you can definitely see why they changed things when the clod buster was released. The gold will look really good with the black body.
One minor thing, the holes in the drop arms/linkages don't line up and it's doing my ocd no good.
Apart from that, looking forward to seeing the body being done
These are brilliant kits and I wish Tamiya would release them again.
Probably my favorite Tamiya Monster truck
Looks awesome! Can't wait to see what the body will look like
That thing does look tight with he Gold.. I am looking forward to see the follow up vidz. The Tamiya legends theme will look epic.
Glenn that looks sweet with the gold and such an unusual kit layout.. maybe some gold stickers??👍
Look forward to the next part and seeing the bodyshell 👍👍
That was an awesome build mate looking forward to the body build video
Best truck ever. Pure eye candy.
Looked like an enjoyable build Glenn ...what a beast 😎👌🔥🔥🔥
the fun part is the building and the enjoyment and satisfaction of doing it
I would buy this as a rerelease in a heat beat!
Thats a beast, great build Glenn. This is what i would love to get building. Something mahoosive 😁
I love this one, more different than the Iconic Clodbuster, but it would be fun if you can take it out running than being a Shelf Queen, at least run it, I really hate people whom only collecting it to be on display than doing it on it's purpose.
Great work Glenn. I never wanted one of these or even a Clod. Not sure what is wrong with me.
very cool
You should build a txt-1, best Tamiya kit of all time
I just aquired another Juggy. I can't explain why these are Soo cool to drive they just are. Back in the day I requested those upgrade kits until Tamiya cut me off 😂. Thanks for another great build video.
Iften the mistakes although frustrating in the moment, actually make the build for me cause that is the part I learn. What a build! 👍🏻
What a beast! Cracking job Mr B! 😊
Not a kit i know anything about but the chassis looks sweet with just enough gold hop ups. With regards the motors they actually look better the way the are fitted. You get to see the retro labels from underneath, plus they are extra gold lol
Awesome. All that gold 🤩🤑. Well done 👍
dapper glenn! yay new vid! never stop mate
Great video Glenn and good work 👌
It's an awesome kit but you need to take off the leaf springs as you have shocks and springs fitted aswell as the upgrade. Great build vid
I've never seen the gold trailing arms mounted like that. Don't know what I think about them :)
Not sure what to think about the mechanical ESC.
They need to do a re-release of the juggernaut. $1200 at its cheapest price isn’t even worth it to a collector. You can get an Xmaxx for less. I love the dump truck, but $1400 is crazy.
Looking sharp with the glasses.
funny watching this build looked on ebay one going for $1500.00 built nice job plus you make look so easy
I never had much time for this its always been all about the Clod! But seriously Wow what a thing indeed Glenn! I never had a clue about the amazing design and details on this to be honest! Shame on me being a Tamiya fan!
Epic workmanship even with the faults it has! Damn what a thing! Got me saying now!😉
Would be nice if they re released this kit.
Hello whoooo the légende
Do they even make Juggernaut anymore? its awesome looking should be a cool build
Looks, super amazing, but im not even gonna bother lookin up how much it would cost. Maybe the chinese will make a knock off someday
Hi Glen have you ever seen or came across the Tamiya XB PRO Skoda Fabia or Octavia there were on TT01 chassis I just bought a real Octavia VRS and started to research if Tamiya ever did a rc version they did but they are rare as hell Hardly any info about them do what model number they were realised on
If you can find anything on them would you let me know
Cheers Jonny
Hi do you know where to get the spare body shell from pls
SO wish they would rere this kit
Beauty but my OCD sees the lines on the right rear side bars pointing the wrong way. Flip it around please.
Did you say Tamiya will re-release that truck? If so I want one!😅
I’ve been waiting for it I thought something happened between you and Keith and you didn’t get to build it
I honestly have been waiting patiently. I knew he would love the build and it was important to me to let him do it on his timeline.
Are those gold links plated plastic , I’ve had 2 of those kits but never seen the gold links ,only seen the gold shocks and gold steering links
They are plated alloy.
can’t understand the accent but great truck!!!!!
Man as much as id love to have something nice and rare i could never shelf queen anything. Kraton 8s? $1000 truck? Yea it spends more time on its roof than its rubber. Tt02 gt4 30th anniversary edition? Mine has a 4500kv motor and 3s esc and regularly makes 60+mph passes.
If you like to shelf your stuff thats on you. Personally i spent all that money on my toys so i want to play with them.
Building a classic like this for someone else is kind of like raising another man's kid and then when the hard stuff is done, changing diapers, terrible twos, etc....taking it back. I can see your reluctance.
its avant o'clock 😂
its a cool car to build , but offroad capabilities compared to the txt-1 are second to none . also the steering setup is really sloppy, always tends to crabwalk somehow . i have the same chassis in that mammoth dumptruck ( made it dual motor and added txt-1 tyres )
I'm guessing it's not a racing chassis 😂😂😂
just don't run it and this will be a great truck
Lol
It is one of the few that I won’t be missing much if it just goes on the shelf. My txt1 is the one I would run.
Traxxas makes better trucks that don't come in a thousand pieces that have to be put together.
Never really been a fan of tamiya, the plastics are something china would call poor, great in the 80,s 90,s. But nowadays there just expensive low quality toys, shame,
Not sure what everyone sees in your videos. Babble babble, cut edit done, babble babble, cut edit done, repeat…. Do you show any of the build at all or just cut scenes between you babbling on and finished bits?
New title: watch me narrate a slide show!
What a monster. Cannot wait to see that finished!
