That dude was a power runner for real! Hard running up the middle and on the outside, but he kept the feet churning. Glad to have watched his entire career.
Them were the good days. As a buckeye fan and a titan fan. It was awesome to follow him through both of my teams. Eddie was the man in tennessee and ohio
Air McNair, right behind Warren Moon in passing yards. Good to see him in this documentary. Watching Steve McNair and Eddie George was legendary. Say whatever you want to say McNair had one HELLVA arm!
Dee Man yea man it was unfortunate they could never get past the Championship round. Well u can root 4 the Titans with us cuz they have a good chance of winning it soon! They’re just the new age Oilers :)
I will never forget being in like 5th grade and being at a "lock in safe night" for kids which was like a dance in a gymnasium but they had one of those velcro walls, fat sumo suits, and basketball....but this gym had a few hundred individual seat bleachers and a stage...they played the super bowl live on a giant projector screen hanging on the stage. All my turd little friends wanted to chase girls and jump on the velcro wall but I loved the titans and hated Kurt Warner (no clue why) so i was all business just watching the game and I was heartbroken when Dyson couldn't break loose. One of the most dramatic endings in sports history and a memory I will NEVER forget. Sorry for the ramble :P
I was ecstatic when Eddie was signed to Oilers. Lived in Webster Tx. Houston metro. Then had a chance to see him play as an oiler. I don’t remember if it was preseason game or season. I was so amazed at his size and agility. Was running and rocking the defensive line, line backs and secondary defenders. I was so close as well and could hear the hits and grunts an moans of each play. Watched with amazement and excitement. He had became my favorite player hands down those games seen him. He was 6’ 3” 27” arms and 34” thighs out of college an absolute beast of a man. Especially for a running back. My most memorable play of him was a rolling sweep left against Seattle i believe. He is trucking it the backs rough him up and he is still up. Trying to get his footing and stumbling legs and one hand. Then the safety comes for the kill shot and could see eddies eyes shift to him. Then both of them impact with such force but Eddie was lower and larger. Went right through this man. Swear it looked like the defenders neck broke from the collision and collapsed unconscious. The poor man twitching. Eddie not realizing he is still down until seconds after. Jumps up and roars but then sees the man and instantly goes to check on him. The whole stadium at beginning pumped and then silence when guy could not get back up. They took off the field in a stretcher. I was young so did not realize or think to much about the defenders injury. Was just impressed and in awe. Sealed my fascination with Eddie. I was furious when Houston gave up Oilers. Then became a Tennessee fan. I thought he was going to be the next Earl Campbell. He did proceed to amaze me but was a short career.
It's hard too not be emotional... arguably the best super bowl ever... Earl ,Eddie and DH just an amazing group of running backs... let me not forget Demarco, Peterson, Johnson.... you see our organization has always had the best running backs.... I wish Pollard and Spears much success but those are big shoes to fill...
Eddie George was my idol when I was a kid At the start of the 1995 season, Eddie George was,at the best,a long-sort condenser for the Heisman trophy.By season's end, he was a runaway choice. As Ohio State's sixth Heisman recipient, George rushed for a school -record 1,927 yards and 24 touchdown s.Included in that yardage total were Three 200 - yard games, one of which was an Ohio State record 314 yards against Illinois November 11,1995.Georges other honors in 1995 included the Doak Walker Award, the Maxwell Award, the Walter Camp player of the year award and big ten MVP. ❤😊😊😊
Thanks for the upload. As a 12 year old lad I decided to find a new team. (Raised a 49er fan). Eddie was the biggest reason I became a titan fan. 20 years later still a loyal fan. Catch them whenever they are here in Cali.
In a league where the shorter back has dominated lately, it's good to see that 6'3 back that is a lost art nowadays D. Henry is tall too compared to Emmit and Barry 5'9
I was 8 years old and can remember watching that game on TV. I'll never forget it because that's also the day I learned that officiating crews also have back-ups on their depth charts, cuz they took that fool to the locker room on a med-cart, and at 10 I ain't think about it like "Man, I hope he's ok" or "Damn, I know he hurting right now!" Nope! All I could do when they should the replay was literally LMFAO at all the jokes my uncle and my granddaddy were cracking towards that tiny little zebra that just got caught and stomped plum to death under stampeding herds of rhinos, hippos, and Clydesdales!
We were better than the Ravens things just went their way. The greatest show on turf heat us by one yard. So hard to live with. Remember the Titans. Put Eddie in the hall. Rip McNair.
RIP Steve Mcnair
Selfish. This is Eddie George
Derrick Henry and Eddie George both played for the Titans
Both 6'3
Both nasty runners
Appreciate and enjoy your RBs Titans fans
don't forget about CJ2K as well, Titans perennially have good RBs
And cj2k , earl campbell
They’re all not as good as Earl Cambell
King George to King Henry
@@Ainsi110 honestly Henry is pretty close ngl, he has a very good chance of becoming the only RB in NFL history to rush for 2k twice.
Eddie George was my idol when I was a kid. I picked the Titans as my team because of him. He and Randy Moss will always be my favorite players!
Same here ! I was just about to say that . Still have his jersey in a box .
Same
Are we the same. I grew up a die hard titans fan in Canada
Two titans legends…
Crazy thing is they could have played together but the titans drafted kevin dyson instead of randy moss smh
I became a fan of the titans when Eddie started popping up on the highlight reels. Him, McNair, Dyson and wycheck were a solid bunch!
Get this guy in the hall of fame!
Finally a HOF semifinalist! Considering what he meant to his team, his induction should be a no brainer, and is long overdue! TitanUp!
That dude was a power runner for real! Hard running up the middle and on the outside, but he kept the feet churning. Glad to have watched his entire career.
If there's one player that can define heart and soul, it's Eddie George.
This guy was warrior when he ran football
Eddie george had a way of beating good defenses it was crazy
Them were the good days. As a buckeye fan and a titan fan. It was awesome to follow him through both of my teams. Eddie was the man in tennessee and ohio
Seems like the Oilers/Titans gotta habit of finding dope RBs
Campbell
George
CJ2K
King Henry

This guy a was beast.. should be a hall of fame..period..
I have never seen a RB put Ray Lewis on his back, any player for that matter.
As an Oiler fan, I really wanted them to win that Super Bowl.
Dee Man yea man it was unfortunate they could never get past the Championship round. Well u can root 4 the Titans with us cuz they have a good chance of winning it soon! They’re just the new age Oilers :)

Brooo that speech at the very beginning HYPED me up! Eddie George was the man

Legend Eddie was beast 💪🏾
Crazy how he was a superstar for many years and after he retired everyone forgets about him
He was the original Derrick Henry quit playing, ran right through you
I was there at the browns game in the snow
RIP FRANK & STEVE
This man coaches at my school. I didn't know he was like that. He is HIM!!!
That’s why you always respect your elders
Yep. He was and is definitely HIM.

As a kid, Marcus Allen was my guy! Eddie runs similarly, just a bigger version. IMO

The bay doesn't need soft, fairweather fans anyways. You bum.
Ric Bradley agree
You were raised a 49er fan and abandon them at 12? And you still live in Cali too. Smh.
49ers are ass anyways so it’s fine fuck the 49ers
Such a great video! Thank you.
He's my son favorite running back
Great vid, appreciate!
2k game he was a truck!!!
In a league where the shorter back has dominated lately, it's good to see that 6'3 back that is a lost art nowadays D. Henry is tall too compared to Emmit and Barry 5'9
Derrick Henry won MVP. Making Eddie proud I’m sure.
Eddie Eddie Eddie
The GOAT 🐐
The agility at that size still hasn’t been duplicated since he retired
He should have a bowl
Eddie George was the truth!
My favorite RB ✊🏾
My older cousin 💪🏾
Ref taken out at 2:39 lol

I wish Buffalo had a back like EG right now.
Hard core.
He is the reason I wore 27 in high school as a lb and rb.
We were better than the Ravens things just went their way. The greatest show on turf heat us by one yard. So hard to live with. Remember the Titans. Put Eddie in the hall. Rip McNair.
Top 20 receiver of all time !
Eddie lost half his soul when Steve was gone. So sad...
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Just think of his stats if he never got that toe and ankle injury during the 2000 season.
Lmao the ref on #7
Five seasons of +1200 yards in a row.
RIP ref. 2:41
2:57
True buckeye
The only NFL football I enjoy watching is the pre Kapernick days ! Eddie George was one of the best, put a hurtin on the Jags plenty of times !
Ya really that salty about Kap?
andrew k. ennis Andy I hate him too but that’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard
@@jacrispiejackson69 hate huh
BigTone707 yep he’s a piece of shit he ain’t getting no love from me
hope you've had fun not watching these playoffs, we dont miss you
No one remembers him being knocked out
I wonder if he’s living in physical pain
I'm pretty sure the people that tried to tackle him are, but frfr I saw him on TV earlier today, he looked normal n was moving around normally
I have a shirsy of him
Lol his head was small compared to his body.
😂😂😂😂 especially not having any source of hair above his shoulders
