Taught at the school where the movie was filmed in Ga. Before leaving each night after bball practice, we would talk to the extras who were working. I asked about the movie. One of them told me the was about a young girl telling the story of a high school football team that had come to the funeral of a former teammate. After viewing the movie, i had more of a perspective of the talks we had with the extras.

It’s crazy we lost so many of them in 2019... Hopefully all these men are resting in peace! They will always be remembered for more than just football players! They helped end racism at school, and showed others than color doesn’t mean squat. Too bad the world can’t figure that out today. In 1974-75 I was told by my older friends that if a van ever pulls up at night and they ask what high school you're from DO NOT say Hayfield because it's TC Williams rowdies looking to roll you. By 77 that rivalry was completely dead.
T.C played home games on Saturdays up until my cousin graduated at least in the early 2000s. I know they changed the name of the school and rebuilt it so not sure what they do now.
WoW 🤩 THIS was fantastic!! Thank you, Sir, for your excellent research, your dedication to FACTS and your time and energy - appreciated!!!!
Proud to be a Titans coach, right now!😍
GREAT STUFF! TC WAS REALLY A SUPER TEAM. UNLIKE THE MOVIE 🍿, NO CLOSE GAMES. SPORTS 🏈 SHOULD BE A GREAT UNIFIER LIKE IT WAS HERE. LONG LIVE THE TITANS!🏈
Part of the movie was filmed on the Clarkston High School football practice field in Dekalb County in Atlanta. My father coached at Clarkston and remembers the filming taking place.
One of the best movies ever.
Great video. One of my fav movies ever as well. Thanks for sharing!
Great commentary! Thank you for sharing!
This was so fun to watch! Thank you
I saw Blue Stanton once! I was a security guard @ Fort Belvoir & came on post! I noticed the car was decorated with Titans stickers & had a Titans plate!
2016-2019 were some devastating years for TC Williams High School!
Great story about unity and breaking down barriers! One of the greatest football moments of all time.
When I went to college in Newark Ohio I had the pleasure of meeting Coach Yost and Coach Boone. This was 2011-2012.
Met the actor a few years ago while working at toyota. He told me he was back in school and took a break from acting
"Attitude reflects leadership....... Captain" Ended an argument, started a strong friendship!
I loved this story. Pretty good film also.
I took that lamented movie poster to college with me! Oh I Love this film and story!❤️
Love this movie and love what it inspires.
I remember when Disney called me on a polling on if I would see this movie. Remember my football team going together to see the movies
2019 seemed to call many of the Titans
My all time favorite movie I'm still in luv with sun shine....
Also worth noting is that Bill Yoast’s daughter Sheryl passed away many years ago in 1996 at the age of 34. She died from heart failure I think from a heart condition that hadn’t been discovered for a long time.
I was a stadium extra in the movie filmed in GA. We had no idea that this would come out to be such an awesome movie. The cast were all nice to everyone.
Also, the actor who played the big kid has since lost about 260 lbs and is a serious fitness enthusiast.
Thanks so much for making this video.
With the first round pick in the 2021 NFL draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Sunshine from remember the Titans.
Original
Out of all the school day movies, this is the only one that didn’t kiss me off and made me appreciate a TEAM
His son played at North Myrtle Beach HS in SC. My nephew was in a grade ahead of him.
I taught at NMBHS years ago. I would have loved seeing his son play.
It IS the greatest movie/story of all time imho! I couldn't even take a guess at how many times I've watched it
SADLY this was a movie that was WAY ahead of it's time! This movie was made for a 2020/2021 audience. But, with that said, I have watched Remember The Titans more times then I can count! heck my Grandma LOVED this movie! And such a great cast! Thanks for the What happened video :)
They, Industry, sometimes have re-releases......This movie I think deserves such. You're almost guaranteed a group reckoning when a film like this a is viewed in this manner. Maybe that's just me. I'm just really feeling your statement.
A great story- that is really needed in 2021-
ONE OF MY FAVORITES MOVIES OF ALL TIME!!!
Yessss!!! This one one of my recommendations thanks for the video
How does Denzel not get an Oscar for his role????
he can't and he couldn't because he did not play as a crook like in training day
