Great review! I’ve got a couple classic MyArcade consoles on display in my home arcade (PacMan & Galaga) and this looks like a great addition for consideration.
dude its a shelf piece no matter what kind of outputs they could slap on it 'man can't wait to get home and play pole position on my palm sized arcade!' said nobody
Show-Me Retro, Yeah, I bought this for my brother for his Christmas present. It's one of his favorite arcade games. For me, I only by these smaller replicas to display. Since I have an even smaller replica of Pole Position in my Home Arcade, I'm going to pass on the My Arcade version and hold out until a company like New Wave Toys or Numskull brings one out looking like the actual machine. Sure, it might not happen, but I'm willing to chance it. I did buy the Buy Stuff Arcades Racing mod for my Arcade1Up Out Run, which added both Pole Position and Pole Position II to the cab. Unfortunately, the Arcade1Up wheels aren't free spinning, so it's difficult to play either. Still doable, but not ideal. I'm glad Buy Stuff Arcades did come out with a free spinning wheel, so I'd keep a look out on those kits if you're interested in games that use them like Pole Position. They even have a configuration that doesn't require buying an Arcade1Up to use it. And definitely much cheaper than a $1,000 racing multicade cab. So many solutions out there, a great time to be in the hobby (unless you're looking for new IP Arcade1Up's, which I know you aren't :) ) Glad you're liking this new little guy! vgv
Keep up the good work My Arcade, this is definitely a step in the right direction
Loving the Arcade hack 😍 Never knew that, thanks 🤩🤩

This one sets the bar pretty high, really curious what they will put out next. Appreciate the comment 🍻
I think it's the best looking one out of the bunch I've seen. No HDMI out kinda makes it a shelf piece but it looks cool for the price.
@@mikeyyoon It is a shelf piece but it's way more playable than something like a Zoltar from NWT imho

@@im_cart8656 it's a playable shelf piece, is it not?
@@show-me-retro yea technically.. but nobody a year from now will be. it's for the shelves for 30-50 year old men.
@im_cart8656 I rest my case, appreciate the support 🍻
Great vidéo!
Did you get any issues with the "home" button on the unit ? Mine do nothing.
@@Eric-on6kr Thanks, no I did not. Just the down shift was not as satisfying click
I remember my grandma's local pizza place had only this machine and we use to beg her for quarters LOL
@@IowaRetroGamerDad This game holds up well. As well it should, it's made by Namco

@@videogamevegas I agree, it is a great time to be a gamer. And no, I'm not buying any 1ups anytime soon Lol. Appreciate the comment VGV
Yes and yes.
I'd rather have a full sized arcade machine with a bunch of roms on it. Maybe some way to switch the buttons and joy sticks for different games
@@LorainPsycho you can't play Pole Position with a joystick
Only review I watched. Not sold on it still. 😂😂😂. But it’s cool.
It's not bad at all, HDMI out would have been sweet but still a great way to play the arcade rom
I'm like you... played it in the arcades as a kid, and now im 54 😮 Can it be powered by usb-c alone rather than Old School batteries 🤔
Yes
If they make a Hard Drivin or Race Drivin one, its getting purchased
@@DinduMuffin-x3c that's very possible
linkable Off-Road and Super Sprint...
Can it be hacked into? have you taken it a part at all?
Hackable I'm not sure but it's crossed my mind to open it up. I haven't seen anyone on YT with any sort of hacks thus far
@@show-me-retro Would be cool to play spinner games like Arkanoid or Warlords in addition to racing classics!
