the best and safest ant spray is ms meyer's room spray in basil scent. it's not made for killing ants, but it kills them on contact, keeps them away for weeks, smells nice and is safe for pets and children. love your videos! you're the best!

Dawn power spray also kills fruit flies on contact. I use a mixture of rubbing alcohol, distilled water, and peppermint oil as an ant and spider spray.
One day at the checkout, a cashier who seemed maybe 18 years old, held up my bunch of basil, made a "stinky" face and asked, "Eeew, what's this?" I said, "It's fresh basil. I love the smell of fresh basil. If I could put it in a bottle and wear it like perfume, I would!" Well, now I guess I can spray myself with Miss Meyer's basil-scented room spray AND keep ants away!
Best and safest way to get rid of ants is cinnamon, cinnamon sticks and basil leaves. Place cinnamon on outside door or any entryways as barrier. Also cinnamon sticks and oregano leaves in kitchen. If you have a lot of ants use cinnamon along kitchen counter back wall. Every summer I do this and no longer get ants
As someone who's partner is a plumber, please DO NOT, flush those wipes down the toilet. They do not break up at all. These wipes are similar to baby wipes, but with less plastic holding it together. Just because it says flushable doesn't mean it is. About 7 times out of 10, each call ends up with clogged pipes from those wipes. Sewer systems across the country have also seen an uptick in fatburgs caused by the build up of these wipes. My partner always says you can use them, but do not flush them, just simply throw them away.
I am a CSR for a plumbing company, DO NOT FLUSH ANY WIPES! Or paper towels, or napkins. All are horrid and do real bad things to the plumbing! it’s incredible the amount of clog calls we get that directly lead back to wipes or paper towels being flushed
I watched a show where a large city had a clog of "flushable wipes" the size of a city bus.
Thanks. I bet you can also attest to the dangers of flushing dental floss down the toilet. They will form a clog that will cause you big problems and a guaranteed meeting with a plumber. Use the trash can to dispose of trash!

@@americafirst9144 You've got it. Use the toilet exclusively for human waste and toilet paper. Many of my neighbors are moving out of their tiny ramblers for a year and building a McMansion in their place. These buildings are slapped up quickly with questionable construction. Some have major problems with plumbing, rotting window wells, and drainage. Meanwhile, my 1400 sf rambler is 71 years old with solid brick and gleaming oak hardwood throughout.
Thank you for reviewing “flushable” wipes. I saw someone in charge of a water treatment plant talk about this. There are no flushable wipes. These wipes cause huge problems and can damage an entire city’s system.

Vivian!! If you have ants, grate a bar of Irish Spring soap with a cheese grater. Sprinkle the shavings on window sills. I did this in the spring and I have not seen ONE ant yet!

I'm a Dollar Tree Plus manager, and I came across your channel doing research on Dollar Tree crafts so I have an idea of what is going to be popular. There was a set of plastic stacking pumpkins for $5 we carried this year and we couldn't keep them on the floor fast enough because they made the TikTok rounds!
I use essential oils for pest control. Mostly peppermint around windows. I have a funky mailbox and starting in the spring birds try to make a nest in it. I put cotton balls soaked with peppermint oil and put them in. No more nest making.
I bought the set of veggie bags and once I opened them up and saw the quality, I bought another set the next time I saw them again at DT. Now I store my potatoes and onions in them at home.
My son works at a grocery, he says the people that bag all their fruits and vegetables in one bag take more time because they unban them to scan or weight the. Your food ends up on the conveyor belt uncovered that way. His story sells reusable net bags for 15 cents a bag.
I've never seen this. All the cashiers I've seen just scan through the clear bag.

The Cottonnelle ones are the only exception. They are a thick paper and not made of that weird plastic fiber stuff. She even tested it in a previous video so you can see it in action.

I use flushable and I've never had a problem tho most of the time I toss em in trash anyway but I rarely use em in the bathroom, but for wiping down sweat, wiping off things in my van that I live in..
A plumber once told me: "Flush nothing. Only waste and t.p." I never even used to flush tamp***.
"Flushable wipes" are a big problem for sewers because they combine with other nonsoluable waste like fat, oil, and grease to create big chunks of rock like obstructions called "fatbergs". They cause sewers to clog and overflow. They'll clog your septic too. Best way to use flushable wipes is to throw them in a trash can with a lid on it. You can use scented bags or put car air freshener cans in the bottom of the trash can, whatever you can do to keep the stink under control. Probably better to install a bidet at that point.
I freeze extra coffee in ice cube trays and use them in my iced coffee. It would be fun to use the small spheres for this

I can’t tell you how many “flushable “ wipes the maintenance department has to fish out of the drains where I work. They are not flushable!
Exactly, it is false advertising (for those and tampons too) because plumbers & waste management services don't want us to flush anything except the three Ps (pee, poop, paper) 👍

💯 do not flush anything but tp. When I moved into my new place a plumber pulled a ton of those "flushable" wipes from my pipes. Plumber told me never ever flush them unless I wanted him back.

Love the smaller ice spheres! I tried the others you reviewed but they were too big for any of my glasses. No more watered-down ice tea, lemonade, or whatever. Now I can drink full strength and high test beverages and they'll last longer so I don't need to keep making a whole separate tray of ice! Once again, you are the 💣! ❤🥃🥤🧋

I use peppermint oil to keep the ants, spiders and stink bugs out! It works great, so I’m definitely going to try the dollar tree version. I spray it outside on the window sills and doorways.
Does it really work for stink bugs!?? We moved to a different county & they are ridiculous here. I do mean massively. And OMG I DO HATE THEM SO!!! 👽😵💫 I’ll try almost anything to be rid of them (including 🧨) 🤣. But seriously thanks I’ll try it. Just remember that dogs and cats especially are very sensitive to essential oils. Research first😊
For light up letters, cover bulbs with painters tape and use spray paint for plastics to make the letters the colors you want.

I’ve usually seen the prayer cards in the front “random items” area. That’s what I call where the very teen/tween themed stickers, tape dispensers, make up bags, smaller reusable bags, fidget toys etc. are also put, Not seasonal,deal of the week, glasses or the breakables but also the other not the “regular” aisles.

I've been fighting ants this summer, and picked up some of the ant spray. It literally STOPS THEM DEAD IN THEIR TRACKS! The rosemary smell is clean and pleasant and, since rosemary is edible, the spray is completely safe. My kitty doesn't like the odor, but kitties don't like piney smells. I suggest adding the final 5th Vivian head to this product!
Just because something is edible doesn't make it safe. The Rosemary oil in the ant spray is actually toxic for cats and dogs.

Wasps and Hornets hate peppermint. I use it around hummingbird feeders and it keeps them from chasing away the hummingbirds FYI. Love all your TH-cam videos.

16:47 I love those wipes! They leave the delicate area very clean and feeling fresh. But I definitely THROW them away! Never flush. They're also great makeup removers (just my first step in a 3 part cleanse). Helps get stubborn mascara soft enough to remove with my cleanser.
My husband is a plumber and we are not allowed to have those in our house. 😊 because YOU ARE RIGHT THEY DONT DESOLVE

I had to stop the video to comment. 😊 I live in the second largest city in my state. Our waste management was on the news a few years ago, telling us NOT to flush the flushable wipes. They get caught in various elbows and traps and cause a big problem for the city and the citizens they serve. They need to go into the trash.

I have many of those prayer cards. I give as gifts and some I add one into their birthday cards. I also placed a card on my family’s plate and they each turned it around and read it using as a prayer at Easter!
Saw a diy vid the other day using those flush wipes to shine stainless steel fridge and stove.
Fruit and vegetables sells by weight most of the time. That little bar code sticker on the fruit and veggies is for store inventory counting. Most grocery stores has scale built-in into the Lazer scanner they scan the code and set the bag on the scale. You wouldn't want 0.50a lb of bananas in a bag of squash selling $1.99a lb.
That's why you tie the bag with enough space to hover it & not scan 2 things.
take out the bag, scan/weigh fruits by type. doesn't have to end up theft. lol
Part of my family owns a grocery store it also helps the cashiers when things are in their bags they can move faster.

Essential oils don't mean safe for pets. Quite the opposite in a lot of cases.
Exactly! Plus there's some essential oils safe for dogs that are toxic for cats. And peppermint isn't safe for either.

We always use the grocery bags for all fruits & veggies. + take as many as possible. Every bag has a use @ home…especially personal use it’s for ladies. Keep the trash bags from smells. Same as for disposing food from left over plates.

Hi everyone, I live in beautiful Newfoundland, Canada. We use those veggie bags when we cook “Jiggs dinner” ( all veggies in the pot with some salt beef…yum). We put carrots in a bag, turnip in another, potatoes in another etc. it’s awesome when it’s time to take veggies out of the pot. Do anyone else use them for this purpose. I also use them to put bones in to boil to make broth, makes it so much easier. Love your channel, my husband even enjoys it. Keep up the awesome content, your the best😀😀
And just throw them in the washer to clean them, I put them in some hot water before I add the veggies again though.

I like the idea of the produce mesh bags. I should get some. I stopped using the plastic bags a while ago. As you pointed out, totally wasteful. The only thing I put in a plastic bag is a bundle of Cilantro cuz it's usually wet and will make a mess. But everything else I just place loose in my cart.
I use the vegetable bags for the beach. I put the shells in them that I find. 🥰 the holes are small enough that the teeny tiny shells won’t fall out.
Net veggie bags can be used in the washer. Not big enough for sweaters but good for summer shirts. One per bag but no worries snags
For the mesh bags they would work as laundry bags too. I keep my kids socks in one for each. Then all of their socks are stored in a bag & they can always find them. Also great to wash lingerie.
For the colored lighted letters. If you want them another color just cover each light with painters tape, use extra fine grit sand paper & lightly scuff up the surface & spray paint them whatever color you want.
I had a sneaky a$$ squirrel digging in my deck flower boxes so I sprayed some peppermint oil on the top rail of the deck and on the dirt. It worked! The squirrel aka tree rat hasn't been back!

I work for a plumbing manufacturer. Flushable Wipes are NOT to be flushed in a toilet.
I was so excited to find those mesh veggie bags! I bought some off Amazon about five years ago and I think they cost about $12 for six, but they came in three different sizes. I love reusable bags.
Pepemont oil is great for keeping spiders away... I use that all the time. I put like 4 cotton balls on a piece of foil and damp them with peppermint, lasts for months!
Peppermint is also supposed to repell mice, if anyone has a problem with them and not just bugs!
Thank you for testing it it also clogs the sewer grates they get coated in tampons and baby wipes!yukkkk they even have a gross picture for us to enjoy in our hospitals emergency in London😊

I have used peppermint oil water and it does work! Keeps bees, mosquitoes and wasps away as well.
I agree with you about the flushable wipes. They end up clogging up the pipes and often make their way to the water treatment plants, or wherever toilet water does. They are so bad for the environment :( I love the other items though :)
I use essential oils to fight bugs at home and around the horses. I mix my own but that is a great price if you don't need a large volume
