I keep coming back to this one as it’s so lovely and such quality, albeit small. Third time of watching as I have to make one for a friend who’s turning 70. I’m a bit slow on some of the details but thank you it’s real quality. It was the notches that get me and I don’t do metal but guess I could use a bolt?
I had no idea this was a thing. I asked my wife, "who makes their own tortillas"? She told me plenty do. Wow, who knew? I just go to the store and buy a pack. May have to try homemade sometime. Great project. It turned out great. Thanks for sharing.
I did mention it. The width is the same. I said 9 and 7” long. You can modify to your needs. Glad you like my design but sounds like you like round vs rectangle.
I made a piece like this with scrap wood I had! I've tried everything but no matter how hard I apply the lever, the tortillas don't increase in diameter and become thick! Pure disappointment! Watching videos I saw that they only increase in diameter and become thinner with a cast iron press sold online or a press steel and metal made in house with all two heated! Do not need to do strength, use minimum force for 3-4 seconds and the heat itself facilitates the expansion of the dough and thus increasing its diameter to acceptable levels! It's something else!

You can buy metal to size on online metals.com, use a wood dowel or bolt. Thanks for the appreciation of my design.
We are going to love it!

Ha, I agree with you! My daughter gave me the idea, I checked some other TH-cam videos and they have 10s of thousands of views on this topic.
Really like it? Any reason you didn’t go with round? Like the brass fittings too thank you!
Did you put a spacer between the top and bottom plates before attaching the hinge? Thanks.

Love the handle! Can’t work with brass though!
Thank you.
Did you say how much shorter the top piece was? and it looks slightly narrower too?

I plan to use mine as a printing press. Would lemon wax soak into paper?
Don't know, you have to experiment. Thanks for watching.
Very cool!!!
Thanks for the sticker 👍👍
@@BobAmarant glad you got it
Can you make one for me…..I am terrible at woodworking but I love wood items
Thanks but I typically only make projects for family members.
My kind of cad drawing
Can you make a larger one? Wanted to make one myself but burrito size.
Sure, make it to any size you need.
Very cool!
