Historic Thurso square explore in the Scottish Highlands || North Coast 500

When having taking the time to explore the historic Thurso square found in the Scottish Highlands on the North Coast 500.
This square has changed over time, the statues have changed places, structures were removed and the community has evolved.
The war memorial statue near the royal mail office has previously been at the top opposite the church and likely will remain in the same spot that it is today.
The statue in the middle of the square of Sir John Sinclair (born in Thurso Castle focus of a later video) who was a very famous man back in the day and one of his relations rubbed shoulders with Winston Churchill!!
Then the flower bed behind Sir John Sinclair's statue is the foundations of the old bandstand regularly used by the community.
Lastly the smaller statue that is opposite the church is for George Sinclair who has an interesting character for Thurso history.
