The winds calling Ser Alfred Broome a traitor when he’s speaking to Daemon in the Godswood was truly iconic and nice bit of foreshadowing, as is him sneakily running out when Daemon rallies everyone for Rhaenyra, man knew his ass was cooked 😂
Explains why Daemon was at Harrenhal for ages. He needed a lot of work (on him) to not "scoff" & receive the critical vision of things to come, Winter etc.

We met his older version in GOT, he was the three eyed raven stuck on the tree. Helaena's powers are still a mistery and anything people are saying here is just speculation. Her book version does not have these powers, that's entirely made up by the show, so we can't be 100% sure what they're gonna do with her. Her arc after blood & cheese is completely different in the book, so it's really exciting to be in the dark for what's coming from her.
Bloodraven will most certainly be in the upcoming Dunk & Egg series next year. One of the more interesting and important characters in the Game of Thrones universe.

Alys Rivers is a barn own with a crowned stag. Helena in her drawings she drew a owl with crowned stag a castle that looks like Harrenhal. That means Alys could be with House Mertyns, or from the Rain wood and the tale of a woods witch as the Green Queen. She even said to Deamon you need to sleep to win this place to your side. That when she came him a weir wood drink. That type that turn you into a Green seer. its why Deamon has future visions.
I really like the last 2 shots of rhaenyra and alicent. Whereas Rhaenyra's frame is filled with scrolls which represents the burden she has to carry for the crown, While Alicent is with the sky representing that shes moving forward towards freedom

Hot Take: Larys was entrusted with the task of bringing Otto back. Daron will already be on the road with his troops. Larys is somehow certain that Aemond and Rhaenyra will cancel each other out in the upcoming war. And Larys knows that Otto is a skilled tactician who might actually both advise and get Aemond to listen successfully; and it’s already been established that Aemond is not a pathway upwards for Larys. If Larys has imprisoned/caged Otto so that he’s not in a position to be an asset to Aemond and has taken Aegon away with him for safekeeping, he’s hobbled Aemond, increasing the chances that Aemond will continue to become increasingly unhinged and reckless therefore likely to be taken out by the blacks. With Aemond and Vhagar out of the picture, he’ll be in a stronger position to plot Aegon’s return and retaking of the throne.

Its believed he had warging abilities and could shape-shift. He fought in Blackfyre Rebellion and killed Daemon Blackfyre who was the first Blackfyre, Bloodraven's private company of archers known as the Raven's Teeth shot down and killed Daemon Blackfyre and his two eldest sons. Bloodraven was eventually sent to the wall and became Lord Commander of the Nights Watch, till one day he went missing while out ranging beyond the wall, never to be seen again (until he recruites Bran and Bran goes North and finds him)

Jace does not care for his legitimacy, nor does he have an ego or think himself more important that Hugh or Ulf. He's simply worried that the realm will not uphold his claim to his mother's throne when two white-haired bastards with larger dragons can be a safer alternative to the worst kept secret bastard in the seven kingdoms. If the realm is going to abandon Rhaenyra for her half-brother, no way does he expect the realm to support him with contested legitimacy for all to see. To say nothing for the fact that he has garnered support from the Starks and the Twins.
The Three Eyed Raven guy we saw in Daemon's vision is Brynden Rivers aka Bloodraven, a future Targaryen bastard. He will probably be on next years new spin-off A Knight of the Seven Kindoms, but we have seen him in GoT with Bran. I don't think Helaena is the Raven, probably she is just a very powerful dreamer... We don't have much detail about the Targaryen dreamers in the books, so any theory is valid hahah Also, this vision is clear about who is the prince (genderless in high valyrian) that was promised, for those who thought was not my girl Dany ❤
I dont think he will appear in a knight of the seven kingdoms, I expect the whole season to take place at ashford and end with the trial by seven, we will see Daemon Blackfyre the 2nd but probably not Bloodraven.

If you look at what happens to Bran, it is similar to what happens to Daemon. They both take a journey of discovery and both take a potion/drink that looks like blood (possibly made out of the weirwoods). For me it is easier to believe that Daemon is learning the 3 eye raven role, than that Haelena is just born the 3 eyed raven.
the best scene is the meeting of Rhaenyra & Daemon, & the vision of the Mother of Dragons, Queen Daenerys Targaryen and her three dragons. Rhaenyra & Daemon become the father & mother of Westeros. I also like Daemon's dialogue that says; "Until death or the end of our story" 😭🤒 Their blood runs from generation to generation. until the promised blood is born. 🐣 & I hope, we can see more of Cregan Stark in the next season. (The North Remember) 🐺 🐺🐲

That's what I think. When they were saying that they hadn't heard from Otto before the finale I had a feeling that Larys was holding him as an ace up his sleeve.

She was conspiring to usurp from the moment she put on her green dress during the wedding. A few moments: - starts and spreads the rumors about her sons, makes Rhaenyra walks with her newborn to shame her - denies the betrothal of Jace to Helaena (hilarious bc a consort has no power) - asks for Larys to get his father dismissed as Hand (only way he would give up the position was dying lets be honest) so she could bring Otto back to aid her - abuse Aegon into thinking Rhaenyra wanted him dead - put her sons against Rhaenyra’s boys, told them they were better than “those bastards” - constantly jabbed at Laenor - conspired with Vaemond to have Luke disinherited and those were all years before Viserys whispered those things. So no, the misunderstanding excuse doesnt work even in the show. Otto himself suggested Rhaenyra as heir because he knew if he got Alicent to marry Viserys and birth an heir they would have the throne. He just didnt expect Viserys would keep Rhaenyra. He doesnt even love Aemma in the book. He was even rumored to have had Alicent as a lover prior to Aemma’s death and he definitely loved her.
Helaena is not the 3-eyed raven. She's just a dreamer, and either Daemond conjured her up due to his guilt over killing her son or Alys orchestrated his vision of her.
everyone is mad about the changes & no other battles besides in ep 4. but, i think this is pretty good & interesting about what else will change in the next season & the cost is also very expensive. especially for the dragons. so, calm down. 😅👍🏼😙
yeah everyone is about action but I for one really enjoyed the character development. Solid writing, really good acting, enjoyed 95% of he season ( maybe except for Mysera ). Loved Daemon's storyline in Harrenhall, Matt Smith killed it.

Because of the attention span of 11yo TikTokers that's why. This season was rather slow, yes, but it's not 'empty' slow, although there are scenes that I questioned, nevertheless it's still a pretty good season. People just got mad they didn't pull out their light sabers and blaster and go avada kedavra at each other.

139 years to be precise, episode 1 is 172 years before Daenerys is born then you have the 3,10,6 year time skips and then the 14 years between Daenerys birth and the start of GOT.
The battle of the gullet is next season and the battle of the gods eye is either end of season 3 or end of season 4 depending on how many seasons the show is.

I really don't think that Alys Rivers and Helaena are the same person. They're both more like Jojen Reed was to Bran in GOT, they get visions from the Three Eyed Raven and Alys delivers them to Daemon while Helaena does the same with Aemond.

I loved Alicent's arc, but I never read the books. I don't see how her character was assassinated. It took a lot of balls to do what she did in the end. Seemed like a natural development.

I feel very unimpressed with this finale. The way they have set the table for season 3 is very unsatisfying. The Greens are dismantled at this point. They are outgunned and outmatched. Alicent as a character has been shattered, Aemond is clueless, Aegon has run away, Otto is imprisoned. My hype for season 3 is very low after episode 8. Looking back at this season as a whole. I will remember it as the season Emma D'arcy carried on her back.
I can’t imagine not being excited for season three when this episode set up the battles to come so nicely. People assume the finale has to be this big spectacle and it doesn’t. It just has to make you excited for what comes next.

Theory crafting..have not read source material.. So with the three eyed raven theories..as I've always said of GoT characters, they are players on a bigger chessboard..not sure how it all works, but the main players, I think are maybe agents or representatives of the gods..and helped/influenced by them.. Maseria/mysaria is setting up to be an agent of the lord of light, like the red woman and rhayenra perhaps as well..but also the 3 eyed raven Hightowers related to maesters of oldtown theories?? Alys Rivers connection to Catelyn Tully/Stark?? I'm butchering these names and cooking theories on fewer than 3 hours of sleep.. Am prolly dead wrong..lol but feel there is something there.. I don't think Helaena is The Raven. Just had the sight. It'll be at least two years until season 3. Most of Game of Thrones was exposition. This season was amazing. The only people who won't like it are only here for the crazy scenes.

Hot Take: Larys was entrusted with the task of bringing Otto back. Daron will already be on the road with his troops. Larys is somehow certain that Aemond and Rhaenyra will cancel each other out in the upcoming war. And Larys knows that Otto is a skilled tactician who might actually both advise and get Aemond to listen successfully; and it’s already been established that Aemond is not a pathway upwards for Larys. If Larys has imprisoned/caged Otto so that he’s not in a position to be an asset to Aemond and has taken Aegon away with him for safekeeping, he’s hobbled Aemond, increasing the chances that Aemond will continue to become increasingly unhinged and reckless therefore likely to be taken out by the blacks. With Aemond and Vhagar out of the picture, he’ll be in a stronger position to plot Aegon’s return and retaking of the throne.

I dont think he will appear in a knight of the seven kingdoms, I expect the whole season to take place at ashford and end with the trial by seven, we will see Daemon Blackfyre the 2nd but probably not Bloodraven.

I got goosebumps when they showed Dany in Daemons visions. They even played her theme as well in the background.
If you look at what happens to Bran, it is similar to what happens to Daemon. They both take a journey of discovery and both take a potion/drink that looks like blood (possibly made out of the weirwoods). For me it is easier to believe that Daemon is learning the 3 eye raven role, than that Haelena is just born the 3 eyed raven.

False. Rewatch episodes 1.05, 1.06, 1.07 and 1.08. She was conspiring to usurp from the moment she put on her green dress during the wedding.
A few moments:
- starts and spreads the rumors about her sons, makes Rhaenyra walks with her newborn to shame her
- denies the betrothal of Jace to Helaena (hilarious bc a consort has no power)
- asks for Larys to get his father dismissed as Hand (only way he would give up the position was dying lets be honest) so she could bring Otto back to aid her
- abuse Aegon into thinking Rhaenyra wanted him dead
- put her sons against Rhaenyra’s boys, told them they were better than “those bastards”
- constantly jabbed at Laenor
- conspired with Vaemond to have Luke disinherited
and those were all years before Viserys whispered those things.
So no, the misunderstanding excuse doesnt work even in the show. Otto himself suggested Rhaenyra as heir because he knew if he got Alicent to marry Viserys and birth an heir they would have the throne. He just didnt expect Viserys would keep Rhaenyra.
He doesnt even love Aemma in the book. He was even rumored to have had Alicent as a lover prior to Aemma’s death and he definitely loved her.
Helaena is not the 3-eyed raven. She's just a dreamer, and either Daemond conjured her up due to his guilt over killing her son or Alys orchestrated his vision of her.
everyone is mad about the changes & no other battles besides in ep 4. but, i think this is pretty good & interesting about what else will change in the next season & the cost is also very expensive. especially for the dragons. so, calm down. 😅👍🏼😙
yeah everyone is about action but I for one really enjoyed the character development. Solid writing, really good acting, enjoyed 95% of he season ( maybe except for Mysera ). Loved Daemon's storyline in Harrenhall, Matt Smith killed it.

This season was rather slow, yes, but it's not 'empty' slow, although there are scenes that I questioned, nevertheless it's still a pretty good season. People just got mad they didn't pull out their light sabers and blaster and go avada kedavra at each other.

I loved Alicent's arc, but I never read the books. I don't see how her character was assassinated. It took a lot of balls to do what she did in the end. Seemed like a natural development.

I agree that 2 years is too long for 8 episodes and it hurts the shows viewing numbers and engagement.
I feel very unimpressed with this finale. The way they have set the table for season 3 is very unsatisfying. The Greens are dismantled at this point. They are outgunned and outmatched. Alicent as a character has been shattered, Aemond is clueless, Aegon has run away, Otto is imprisoned. My hype for season 3 is very low after episode 8. Looking back at this season as a whole. I will remember it as the season Emma D'arcy carried on her back.
I think the previous episode would've been a good finale. Still has me pumped for what's to come, though. Lots of twists & turns.
I can’t imagine not being excited for season three when this episode set up the battles to come so nicely. People assume the finale has to be this big spectacle and it doesn’t. It just has to make you excited for what comes next.

I don't think Helaena is The Raven. Just had the sight. It'll be at least two years until season 3. Most of Game of Thrones was exposition. This season was amazing. The only people who won't like it are only here for the crazy scenes.
