Peter Morgan is an absolute genius. He has portrayed the Queen as the truly compassionate lady she is, often at the mercy of the war mongering leaders around her. It is so full of honesty. After watching series 1, I am in awe of Peter Morgan. Incredible !!

I read that the scene on the airplane, when Phillip screams at Charles to get out of the cockpit, never happened. I do wish an interviewer would ask why they felt it necessary to take dramatic license.
Peter Morgan's insight is so complex and admirable. Imagine just researching the activities the Royals had, and choosing which to portray ! Just excellent results. The bad thing about watching these kinds of shows is that the cast and story strangely become your family and friends because you're so immersed in what's going on, and feel a sense of strong emptiness once the season is over and the cast is changed, and you end up missing then as if you lost a part of you. Am I the only one who feels such a way?

I'm sure the person conducting the interview is aware of that, but it is his responsibility, especially in an interview as long as this, to cover aspects about the show that a more average viewer might not be aware of. Not everyone is a die-hard fan of everything and has watched every single piece of content about that specific thing available online.
Oh my god, all the Crown interviews are just the same 5 or 6 questions over and over and over. The patience it must take to be polite and gracious at that point

i'm so amazed at how much talking time tobias menzies had in this ! i feel like he's always overshadowed by the other actors in other interviews, or sometimes he's not even there even though he's one of the only cast member who won a prize for the show
Love this show! The cast is crazy good! Enjoy every moment of it since episode 1. So hard to let go of characters- played by great actors. Tobias Menzies as Prince Phillip. Must be hard to speak the way prince Phillip does 😀

Without wishing to detract from the quality of the writing, and direction, Olivia's Queen is shown constantly scowling. In fact, the Queen has a wicked sense of humour and is an excellent mimic, both of which I suspect are used to help cope with the pressures around her, not to mention the tedium of many events. This is a major flaw in the writing/direction.
