    I bought a new GX4 several months back and like you, immediately started comparing it to my Sig P365. I like the Taurus GX4 better and can shoot it more accurately than my Sig. On my P365 my support hand thumb keeps running into the takedown lever which doesnt exist on the Taurus. Also the slide on the Taurus is much easier to rack on my P365. I came across a barely used GX4 last week at a great price and bought it too. So Ive now got two and between the two Ive got less invested in them than the Sig P365.
    Great gun, great video and review 👍

    Taurus has really upgraded their handguns over the past several years. Glad you had a good report on the GX4.

    I have a number of the Micro 9's to include the Sig 365. Never owned a Taurus in 40 decades of shooting. Not that I owned any, just never had the inclination to buy one. Then my club invited me and 4 other to test the GX4. My God, we were all sold. This gun is not rated one of the top on the market and rightly so. Taurus seems to have looked and studied all the Micro's out there and combined them into this gun. I obviously bought one after testing and have since put 1,000 rds of ammo through it with not one single issue. And it shoots so much better than my 365, feels better in my hand, like the grip texture better, the balance better etc. I put a Glock style night sight on it and it is rocking.
    Thanks for the great review. Taurus really stepped up to the Plate with the GX4.

      I agree. In every video I have done of a micro 9 since this one, I have brought the GX4 out for comparison. In every instance, the Taurus was better I believe except for maybe the Kimber R7 Mako. However, the Mako is a slightly larger and heavier gun.

    I really enjoy my GX4 and it has been 100% trouble free. The biggest surprise I had with the GX4 was how easy the recoil impulse was to control. I'm not recoil sensitive at all, but the GX4 is as easy to shoot as many larger pistols. I find myself shooting it more for enjoyment than I do my full size pistols.

    • @Preacher357
      @Preacher357  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You are absolutely right. It is an easy shooting pistol to be so small. I don't know if you saw my video on the Glock 43X, but I compared it to several guns. including the GX4. When I shot the GX4 again in that video I was blown away all over again. I had to stop myself from gushing over the GX4 in order to get back to talking about the subject of the video.

Sig has already worked the bugs out of their gun, but we know the GX4 will have some and it's brand new. I'd let the other guy go with the newest of the new. Both guns shoot very well. Thanks. I promise no one is paying me for any reviews. Also, it wasn't that I liked the Sig brand so much as that the P365 had a longer track record and a lot of the bugs had already been worked out. The longer I have had and shot the GX4 the more I have liked it. The only reason I am still carrying the Sig over the GX4 is the sights. The Sig has a large bright night sight on it. The sights on the Taurus are fine, but only in good lighting. I struggle to see them when there is less light. I am planning to put night sights on the GX4, though. Once that happens it will probably be my carry gun, replacing the Sig. This model that I have is not the Graphene. I don't believe that version is available in the US yet.

      See, this is the problem here.....You listed 4 videos documenting problems with the GX4 trigger system. But you didn't list the hundreds of videos with no issues at all. You also didn't list videos showcasing the problems the P365 had upon release. Which were much, much more wide spread. What about all the issues that literally every other firearms manufacturer in history has had? You didn't list any of those videos. So what is the standard of comparison?
      The problem is people focus on Taurus issues because it's cool to do. While totally ignoring that all firearms manufacturers have issues as well. There is no standard of comparison exercised. Just because people love to bash Taurus while ignoring other manufacturers issues.
      In the last three years I have fired over 10,000 documented trouble free rounds through my Taurus firearms. Over 10,000 rounds with zero failures of any kind. So who or what am I supposed to believe? The 4 videos you listed, or the 10,000 rounds I have personally fired with zero malfunctions?

      @@BazonBlades I hate Taurus haters. It just kills them to accept the fact that Taurus has hit home runs with all of their latest offerings.

      So far I have not had any malfunctions with the gun at all that I can remember. I have only had it on the range probably 3 times so far. I am hoping to be able to put some more time in with it and maybe do a follow up video around the 1000 round mark to detail what I have seen. I just have not had the time lately, unfortunately.

      I don’t like that people can’t accept that Taurus has good guns lately when they have trouble with a Taurus they blame the gun and when they have trouble with a expensive gun they blame the ammo

      Mine had a trigger issue. I called taurus, the customer service was great. They sent me a shipping label and I sent it to them, they paid for everything. Wait time was 4 weeks, I got it back in 2. Overall not a bad experience.

      So far I have to disagree. I have yet to find a gun in it's class that is a better shooter and I have yet to have a single failure. I have not got enough rounds through it yet to speak to the long term durability, but so far it seems solid. As soon as I get 1000 rounds through it I will do a follow up video.

    I've had Ruger revolvers do the same thing lock up after shooting 50 rounds. I must have had all the good Taurus pistols and revolvers, cuz I never had any problems.
