He’s trying to waste those 5 minutes so he can’t answer any questions. It’s obvious what he is trying to do, like when you confront someone and they repeat the question multiple times to buy time to think of a “believable” lie. And end up angry because they got caught 😂 most criminals do that.
I have met people that have lied and he has all the tells of a liar. Why would he put himself in a situation where he may get indicted?

@@maxcovfefe that's ok. All the Dems have learned the Kamala Harris method: Interrupt the pontification and say "it's a simple question, yes or no?" Rinse and repeat. Most of them did the same thing all day despite the fact that Nadler and a few others called him out early on. He never really stopped dragging out the time and he looked like a little kid doing it. It is frustrating to watch but as I understand it, they weren't really expecting him to be truthful. They just wanted to get him on the record and if he lied, they can get him on perjury. It's especially satisfying after the Kavanaugh fiasco in the Senate hearing. The new Sheriff is in town and the Repubs are petrified.

@@scallen3841 There is asking for clarification and then there is purposely dragging out your answers. Whitaker went into this "5 minute" questioning knowing if he took ridiculous amounts of roundabout 'answers' they would run out of time. Answers, I might add, that one should not need to flip through notes to answer. He was deliberately taking his sweet time to answer. He was worried about the time proven by himself bringing up that time was up.
If he wanted to fully cooperate, like he claimed, he would not have been watching the clock.

@@scallen3841 I literally timed the questioning in the video. Nadler at most took 20secs to ask a question. The committee had agreed to 5 minutes for the Q&A of Whitaker. Only after Whitaker TOLD the committee that their 5 minutes was up did anyone say anything about it not being 5 minutes anymore.
As to questions about Trump, it should not be surprising as it was already stated what would likely be asked during this time. The Committee was doing their jobs asking important questions that both themselves AND the American people want answered. Instead of cooperating by answering simple Yes/No questions, Whitaker mucked about.
