    Absolutely Marvelousy Organic !!! Love it !! How could one Replicate this in the Himalayas where here is more stone slate ? Natural way of building is always the best !!!

    • @ThannalNaturalHomes
      @ThannalNaturalHomes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With stone and slate to do a bench it will be easy you have to do 3 pedestal with slate stone and one bigger slab on top of it. Can see some photos when we where in Dharamshala -, They still do lot of Adobe(sun dried bricks) - Here are some photos - facebook.com/pg/ThannalHandSculptedHomes/photos/?tab=album&album_id=618501004970246

    @Thannal, Is the entire cob bench covered by [Thappi] lime plaster? It was difficult to tell in the video which surfaces the plaster was applied to.

  • @RangoTheMango
    @RangoTheMango 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    you can also use wood ash plaster if you do not have lime

    In south dinajpur district, west bengal, some tribal village refused to accept pucca house provided by government. This region is famous for mud house. They finally said, OK, to keep your honor,we are accepting, but we feel comfortable in mud house,

    if the bamboo should not be touching the mud directly then how come daub is made ?

    • @ThannalNaturalHomes
      @ThannalNaturalHomes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In most of the cases, wattle and daub wall is made on Plinth beam. Plinth beam restrict movement of Termite from Ground to Wall.
      Termite infestation occurs if the building element get exposed to prolonged moisture condition. So we should avoid that even in cement buiding.
      Bamboo used for wattle will be treated naturally. It will add the resistance to termites. Another thing is you can choose weaving material which has Termite repellent property.

    What were the banana leaves for?

    • @ThannalNaturalHomes
      @ThannalNaturalHomes  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Namaste leafs are used for mud to not fall of as well as to protect wood or bamboo getting eroded. Can read more here in this articles 1. Building an earthen roof over a cob home using Karingota leaves: thannal.com/building-an-earthen-roof-over-a-cob-home/
      2. Traditional Flat earthen roof using Eeta leaves:
