    I know this could be construed as a backhanded compliment, but Eric this is the most cogent and constructive I've heard you. As Pills alluded, you really seemed to be in your wheelhouse on this topic. I found this episode to be useful thank you both.

    The fact that they announced a Jesus Cinematic Universe recently makes the start of this podcast so hilarious.

    Metternich was the Austrian ambassador to the congress of vienna following the napoleonics. He had extreme influence in discussions and was often opposed by the english and prussians and supported by the french and austrains (catholic vs protestant)

    Pills I'm having a moment here. I apologize if this isn't a direct response to the subject.
    But merely another "lens" through which I interpret my motives or the motives in others.
    It stems from Kubla-Ross and the five stages of grief. My latest obsession is with the bargaining phase. How so much of my mind is riddled with it...mainly if I understand the problems well enough, I can fix it...perhaps for myself, perhaps for others. This is nothing more than trying to challenge Reality. Bargaining is a way of coping. Let's make a deal: "I am done bargaining," Attack is now the answer.
    Even this is Bargaining (trying to explain or reason).
    To find some sort of acceptance feels more like 'giving up'. To get beyond mere coping.
    I realize so much of this is pure Irony. Which is another one of my obsessions. As a so-called truth.
    Anyway, would like to see a future podcast and your thoughts on it.

    ...Freud is interesting here: he inverts the relationship between "Myth" and "Fact. " Which is to say that Myth is the bases--the origin-- the essence-- the Ground for "Fact. "

    Myth is precisely what "makes meaning" out of Facts. Without Myth Facts would be meaningless, and hence not even noticed. The peculiar thing about Myth, is that it brings our attention to the facts...

    Nietzsche already de-bunked Fact: "There are no Facts-- only interpretations. " So we cannot speak of Facts as such.

    You're talking about "conspiracy theorists" like Jordan Peterson talks about "postmodernists". There is literally a multi-billion dollar "gender-affirming care" industry -- an actual material reality of the "groomer mythology"

    • @alarageref2481
      @alarageref2481 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes but unlike groomers, gender affirming care actually exists. The GAC industry you talk about is serving an obvious need that people are paying for.
