The Willis Tower is actually a tablet building than the Freedom Tower in New York and was just pipped to the tallest building title on a technicality (Its antennas are not structural so do not count in total height) But the Observation Deck on top of the Willis Tower (Formally the Sears Tower) Is the highest place you can stand above ground in the whole of the country...well accept maybe the grand canyon...
