Are you kidding me? His father only got 5 years suspended sentence? He did NO prison time for what was really 1st degree murder? Unbelievable injustice to Marvin and a slap in the face of the judicial system. What a tragedy.

Absolutely sickening miscarriage of justice. The dude literally murdered his own son and got a slap on the wrist. In fact some of the rhetoric from the police and media seemed to imply that Marvin had it coming; that he deserved to die in such a brutal horrific manner while attempting to protect his mother.

As strung out and paranoid as Marvin was, his father shooting him is flat out murder, premeditated murder, forget all the bullshit excuses of resentments, drug abuse, it's Murder, simple as that, how do you kill anyone, nevermind your own son, I see a jealous, hateful man, who thinks he's all that, and Marvin hitting him was his long awaited reason to shoot, I'll bet he had it in his mind for a long time, mooching off his son's success, Marvin should've left his father behind long ago and he'd be alive today, the father is Guilty of 1st degree premeditated murder. What was the judge thinking? Yes, Marvin struck his father, but not mortally. His left the room on 2 functioning legs! He got away with murder!
He sat on the edge of the bed, meditating it and did it. That's called premeditated murder. The most Marvin did was what many children of child abuse do. Through mental abuse by a parent and giving Marvin a life long dose of being emotionally disturbed, Marvin did as most kids or grown up kids do. He struck back. Why didn't Marvin's mother call the police and call 911 too? And his family carry Marvin carefully outside for ER? Too much left unanswered. But I'm pretty sure his parents have passed on due to age and have answered to the final judge.

So I read about his father in Wikipedia and it reads that he regularly beat his kids and was a cross dresser and humiliated his kids through extreme behaviours. Obviously the drug use and dealings at the home would have angered his father but when he shot and killed Marvin jr apparently it had nothing to do with Marvin but he was actually caught in the middle of trying to break up a fight between his parents. He only got a suspended sentence and I've no doubt an average suburban person would have at least copped a 2nd degree murder charge. Brain tumour or not, he didn't have to shoot his son in self defence but deliberately ended his life shooting him directly in the heart. A sad story all round.

I don’t buy the fact that Marvin wanted to die. I call BS on that one! It was a very volatile situation. And why is everyone living off of Marvin? The house in LA wasn’t his parents house, it was his house.

i hate the grooming aspect of this. hate that it was glossed over. so gross so many men and women do this to children and teenagers and see nothing wrong with molding the teenager into the perfect wife/husband 🤮🤮 textbook grooming. doesn’t take away from marvin’s music or the tragedy of his death.

“He would test father…” Idk I just find it creepy af how she words that. Say our dad or our father but just saying father just makes it sound odd af. Idk about you but that sounds super weird to me when ppl talk like that.

A cross dressing preacher, yet he wanted his children to be perfect?
There are no perfect people walking this earth, the word "Perfect" is "Imperfect".
Father should have went to jail.
He wasn't staying with his parents, his parents was staying in his house, public records proved that.
