Making sure I marked each with a red & black marker to ensure I put it back together the same way it came apart. I then sprayed some penetrating oil inside the spring side, and use an EZ out to pull on & rotate the piston inside. After awhile & some effort, I could feel the piston free up! I reassembled & reinstalled the pump. VIOLA!!! She's aworking justa fine. I saved $80. Your vid imbued me to give it a go. 👍👍
BEFORE YOU GO BUYING A NEW PUMP...YOU CAN REPAIR THE PUMP!!! IT IS SEIZED FRIM CORROSION INSIDE...NOTHING MORE...HERE IS HOW TO UNSEIZE IT: Remove 6 stainless screws with washers on bottom front black cover, then remove 3 screws on back plate where vacuum exit comes out. Pull bottom and back out until you can reach and cut the terrible clamps they used. Remove the pump hoses, marking the hose that goes to the side arrow on label points. I replaced clamps with worm clamps for easier assembly and reassembly. Pull pump assembly out of rubber mount to free it. I also cut off the zip tie on the wiring Remove the ground wire, which is attached to the water exit side, and the other screw holding the nylon cover. You will see a spring inside the coil tube which you can pull out. The piston will be frozen by corrosion/rust. On the side of the pump coil there is a label with an arrow. The side that the arrow points to has a check valve so there is a nylon plate and inner cup so be careful pulling that side off! (The check valve is a little spring and plastic bulb plunger) Once you have both ends off, there is a piston inside the pump coil that has been corroded and frozen in place. You can push the piston out with a 1/2 inch dowel. Take fine steel wool and smooth out the piston and inside coil sleeve. This will allow the piston to move when coil energizes. It takes the water in through the check valve and when piston fires, it has an internal valve that the water goes through to the exit side. Once this is all buffed smooth, replace piston, check valve, piston return spring and exit plates to make pump whole. Reconnect hoses, tighten clamps. Reassemble unit and test to see spray working through nozzles. I hope this helps. I only suggest make notes or photo as you take pump apart so you get it all in correctly.

i cleaned the screen filter inside the tank. i checked the spray nozzles under the machine, there not dirty. i cleaned the cylender screen on the top that has that spring. any other solutions? i dont think its the pump because i havent used it that much i bought it brand new???? no solution comes out when i spray the button. i think it may be clogged because I dont use rug doctor shampoo i use my own.. i think its clogged up some where else, any other ideas as to maybe where?

How do you find the fitting to remove the filter basket? I can’t find one anywhere.

If you've already tried everything, then It's the pump. Go ahead and replace it. You've come this far.
I took my pump out and put wd40 in it and turned it on and my pump cleared out and started working again. Perfection takes time.

For me water not spraying out the bottom but it spray out the hand held attachment
Check the spry nozzle at the bottom may be clogged
Or inside the tank the hose has some small filters that gets clogged too
It was the small filter inside the tank I over looked it the first time thank you
How much spray suppose to come out ? Does it saturate the carpet or a light spray my sprays just a bit
