    Lol! Yeah,I too make all my outlet screws go the same way! It's a little "ocd" pet peeve of mine. I also make sure the plug or switch is flush with the plate and level as well. My wife giggles at it but you know what ,it does make a difference! It just looks better.

      @@Wakaflockaflank he did what he did so that answers the question. Electricians make a lot of money they can work 1 hour and retire for the day. Paintings pure work you can't stop you got to just keep on going, but it's less risk so a good retirement job. You don't want to trouble sparks all your life then die for nothing.

    Please consider doing a tips and tricks video on how to paint safely around the electrical service entrance of the exterior of a house, especially at heights where a ladder may be required. Also I've noticed you simply spray paint over cable TV cables. Comment on painting those miscellaneous non-AC cables too? Apologies if you have covered this topic and I missed it somewhere.

    De-fuzz/de-lint roller naps (another method) : Pull out a foot or so of tape from the roll. Step on that end of the tape holding it down to the ground. With sticky side facing you, continue to pull up say 4feet from the tape roll and hold tight. Then with your other hand take new nap on the roller frame and roll up and down against sticky side the tape. Some painters repeat this with new length of tape. I do this with all new roller naps or ones that are mildly dirty. Used ones don't have this issue.

    I was taught by an electrician always vertical for the cover plate screws reason being as it was explained to me is its so your less likely to get your fingernail stuck in it when flipping a switch or plugging something in. It was ideally for women with long fingernails but some of the guys have just as long but hopefully don't complain as much about a chipped or cracked nail lol

    • @billytheweasel
      @billytheweasel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did that so I could see if somebody got into the box that DIDN'T put the slots vertical. Nobody ever caught a fingernail in another orientation that I know of in 42 years of wiring fwiw... Cheers!

      Brush bottom edges then face off 3 or 4 boards or whatever you can keep a wet edge on end to end(corner to corner). Repeat. Mask all non painted surfaces and start at the top. My method for 35 years whether spraying and back brushing or brushing.
      Same basic principle: Keep a
      wet edge and it won’t flash.
