Kevin that new haircut is making you look very dapper & handsome. There are pH meters that measure PPM which might help you determine if you're over fertilizing in the future, and they're much more accurate than the drops. Got mine for $40 on Amazon and so far it's been fantastic to use.
That snow queen is gorgeous and the Sulawesi! Wowzers! Do not feel bad about being tired of filming. You have a full time job and that wears a person down already. For me, I just do this as I feel like it, I guess it’s just whatever your goal is for filming. Take it easy for awhile we will be here!
I love all your videos. This is not boring at all. Seeing all of your plants and you just talking about their roots and nutrients, etc., I learn so much!! ❤. Ty for sharing!! 😊 Have a great day, Kevin. ☀️🪴
awe yay!! im glad you have a peltigerum, i never see them in collections and i love mine. mine is currently re-rooting because it didnt acclimate all that well, but i still have both the leaves it came with and it looks like the growth point is starting to wake up. such a slow plant, but seriously so gorgeous!!
I'm not sure if I am thinking about this in the wrong way, but, I can't help to be curious about substrate mixes. Rather than picking one specific substrate medium. Currently having more than half of my plants in a mixture of orchid bark, perlite, planting soil, leca. (Soil about only 20%). Hoyas. Monsteras. Philodendrons so far are planted in this, and this is in both terracotta and plastic planters. Watering with our own well water, weak/half weak fertilizer in every watering with ground coffee and nicotine from (snus - swedish tobacco product) thrown in there about once/twice a month. Occasionally I add pure, not from concentrate, coconut water and pure white sugar to the water. They're growing like crazy, big lush leaves. Both my baby prince of orange and red sun philodendrons have produced 4 new leaves in 1,5 months time for me. All my Monstera Deliciosa's are producing frequent new leaves with fenestration, and seemingly spitting them out. I have to say I am impressed so far, but it could be that I run into some issues further ahead? As none of them have been in this substrate mixture of mine for more than 3 months time. I'm very appreciative of videos like this, and hearing about others thoughts and experiences. Even if I am not every going to move over to semi-or pure hydroponics. It still provides me with informational details, I can have a usage for when thinking about my own plants - and how to care for them in a way that both suits me, but also enables them to thrive.
I can't imagine having that many plants in leca to change the nutrients, I only top up the 6 I have in semi hydro and even then I forget all the time 💀good luck girl
If ppl in the 1700s saw Kevin preparing his nutrient solution like this, they would have him on a pyre by Friday so everyone can gossip about it over the weekend after 😂😂😂
Have you considered Kaylee Ellens Nurture System 1? I bought it and am a little nervous, but I have been using it for 4 weeks now. Only 2 Anthurium’s look like they may have a nutrient issue, but I don’t know if that is true. I say all that because cal-mag is in it, but more than normal recommendations. 😮
I love your videos. I'm about to start my journey into semi-hydro and want to try General Hydroponics for my plants. The only thing that scares me is switching all my plants from soil to Leca. Do you have any suggestions for transitioning my plants to Leca?
This video is NOT boring. You're never boring ❤.
I love watching you talk about how you mix your nutrient solutions, I could listen all day! Thanks for educating 🫶
Hahaha blinding the neighbouring buildings with your grow lights is classic 😂
LOLOL I DIDNT KNOW THEY WERE THAT STRONG 😂😅
@@kevin. 😂 hahaha I’m just imagining the discussions happening in their own condos
@@jacintapierce715 😂😂😂
Must be a Karen. 😂
I can't believe someone complained. I'd be trying to see the plants. I'd be the weirdo with the telescope, oh look, I see a new leaf ready to pop 😂🧡🌿

Your singing voice is everything
Wow! That Megasperma is so cool! Never seen or heard about this plant. 💚
I love to experiment with different substrates too.
It’s not boring! You could lay upsidedown in a chair and talk jibberish and I would still watch!😍😆

Yay another video!
@@LeafyConversations yayyyyyyy
Love the video! Don’t worry about the expiry date or mixing it with GH (I mixed them when I was switching)
I did a big chop on my monstera deliciosa last week. I recorded and will upload soon. It was very scary process, but so far so good!

Can you use the nutrient solution in soil? Like an old soil?
If it was me with the neighbours I would say “don’t look than” 😂
Could you fill the Thai con pot to the top with leca so those aerial roots can fork off? Maybe will grow better and stronger
I just stick wooden skewer in to the soil & that will tell you, how moist it the soil . Years of experience … orchids 🤷🏻♀️😉

Hahaha you mixing the big pot of solution with a stick 😂
Only with a certain type of silica are you supposed to wait 30 minutes. Always follow the brands directions regardless.
I don’t see a reason to remove growlights because of those people from next building. They not even close enough to be blinded😂 what a BS!
But heaven forbid you complain about the naked exhibitionists that are deliberately parading & waving at you while you're filming📽
welp im distracted that syringe is big af 😂😂
